My Last Bike Ride

So, I had had a draft of a blog that I meant to publish a LONG time ago, so here it is: (Note: I've ridden my bike a lot since then)

Well, I think that a few of you have heard about what happened the last time I rode my bike, but I thought I'd fill you in with a few more details.

(If you haven't heard, basically, I had to get stitches.)

So, I'll have two different versions of the story posted; the first will be how it actually happened, and is rated PG; the second post will be the story that you tell to your friends to make it sound awesome, but I'd probably rate it PG-13.

First story:

I was riding my bike down to the house that I was dogsitting for, after I turned on to one of the streets in our neighborhood, I sneezed and hit a parked car. I then proceeded to stand up dazed, and I wasn't quite sure what happened. Until I spat out blood. I started to walk back home immediately, with my hand up to my mouth to try and stop the bleeding. Luckily, someone drove by and I managed to wave them down with a completely red hand. To be honest, although the wound was extremely bad, most of the blood was just because it was a head wound right after I was doing something really active.

When I got home, my mom took me to see someone in the neighborhood who's a nurse, who said it didn't look that bad, but I should be taken to the doctor to be sure.

The doctor said that it didn't look too bad, but that I should see someone else (who does surgeries) to be sure.

The surgeon said that the cut went straight through my lip. And I ended up getting 16 stitches; 8 on the inside and 8 on the outside.

The only thing that hurt about getting the stitches was actually the painkiller stuff.

Second story: PG-13

I was riding my bike down the hill in my neighborhood, the wind was in my hair and I felt great, I turned into the street at full speed, and I would have made it to house of the dog that I was pet sitting for too. If it hadn't been for that one sneeze.

I opened my eyes after the sneeze, and saw an SUV right in front of me.

I was on the ground, unsure of what happened, until I coughed out blood.

I started walking towards my house with my hand over my mouth; looking back at it, I'm not sure that I even knew why.

(And here is where it departs from the actual events of the day)

I was halfway up the hill to my house, and I was starting to feel light headed, I must've lost a lot of blood by now, but I had to keep on walking.

I managed to open the door to my house and call out for someone right before I fainted; when I woke up later, I had stitches in my mouth, and my lip felt like it was the size of an elephant.

And that's basically what happened to me.

So there you have it, the story of my last bike ride (For now of course)

By the way, I have one last thing to say.....

Never forget to wear a helmet. EVER
