Basically the idea of the following drawing was sparked by many people saying they wanted Sunset Shimmer to have her own alternate timeline where she ended up ruling Equestria. Well I kind of thought about it for a while and what if an alternate timeline had Twilight corrupt into Midnight Sparkle. Firstly, I know that would be beyond overpowered. But regardless the idea sparked and I began conception for a scene based on said idea.

Story essentially goes based from the time loop episode(s) in Season five and Twilight ends up in a timeline where she is the threat that takes over Equestria. Meanwhile in the major timeline in Equestria Girls Sunset Shimmer rather than losing her powers by Twilight's pendant ends up falling through the portal and in the same timeline where Twilight has taken control over Equestria as Midnight Sparkle in form. Wielding the elements of harmony she is virtually unstoppable.

Her power grows to the point she can take memories of ponies to find out if they are threats or not. Even find out who could be threats to her elsewhere through said memories. In the beginning when Twilight is found by Midnight her memories are stolen and Midnight finds out of Sunset Shimmer's existence and determines she is a threat and ends up eliminating her alternate timeline self.

Twilight due to remorse ends up escaping and ended up in Ponyville where the Sunset Shimmer from her timeline falls from a wormhole and lands on the friendship problem table similar to how Twilight ends up in alt timelines. However, the portal still having some self-awareness changes her appearance to bare armor and in her confused state on what exactly is going on ends up tackled to the ground by the 'Real' Twilight. Twilight explains that something will find her if she is not quiet.

But, despite hiding Midnight does find them and removed the place they were hiding and towers behind Sunset Shimmer and in a prideful stand declares exactly what she had done to the Sunset in that timeline. Anyway I wrote out some log of the conversation. While I admit it is not the best thing out there this is what I had so far.

• "So- Sunset Shimmer.. Back from the dead. The hilarity!" a scornful, yet also prideful voice pierced the awkward silence.
• Sunset turned her head slightly and her gaze fall on what was towering behind her. "What exactly do you mean by that?!"
• Soon after their heartfelt reunion cut short Twilight could do nothing but whimper and begin to cry while laying on the ground to the right of Sunset. "I... I am.. So- so sorry... "
• The sinister being behind them could do nothing but grin at the sight below her. "Thanks to your /special/ friend here, I found out about you and slowly and less than.. Mercifully killed you, but yet here you stand before me once more. I admit probably a lot more attractive compared to that ape like form you had taken before." Snickering to herself she started to circle around Sunset in a strut that almost screamed how superior she was.
• Seeing the strut Sunset started to think to herself 'Way too similar to what I myself had practice for when I intended to become an alicorn-- Though thoughts like that long gone from my mind I still remember those days..' Breaking from her thoughts, Sunset decided she should soon join in on the verbal conversation. Before she did so, a small glance had been cast to Twilight before returning her gaze to the frankly obnoxiously larger version of the Alicorn Princess. "So... Why had you murder my counter part, I dare say?"
• Finishing the circle Midnight stopped in her tracks and once again gave Sunset an grin then took on a slightly more serious look within her eyes. "Because you were a threat to my reign! As a threat I should eliminate them by any means necessary. However, as heart felt as it is to have the once in a life time chance to let an individual live again after being mercilessly murdered... I can't say stakes are any higher for you. So no hard feelings right?" she made sure the last words were louder than the rest and began historically laughing to her self.
   
  
  This was as far as I got with logging the conversation. Regardless stakes turn and Midnight instead tries to push Sunset into joining her side and aiding her reign. However, because I obviously should totally stick to the "ALWAYS A GOOD ENDING" I thought about the many possible outcomes. Firstly, I know for a fact that Sunset will not be joining her side in the story. At least as far as my mind developed that is.
   
  As for endings I thought carefully and the options while limited can be any of the following...
• Sunset accepts her proposal and turns against her first friend or rather the first pony that forgave her as more clarifying. But doing so would basically destroy her time line with her friends and possibly erase the timeline she is stuck in which would probably be things she'd think about.
• Sunset and Twilight team up and try to convince her to change her ways similar to IDW Comics with Rarity being convinced and changed from Nightmare Rarity back to normal Rarity.
• Sunset and Twilight use the elements of harmony found on a necklace around her neck and backfire the power on to her resulting in some sort of imprisonment. Rather or not its stone, banishment to the moon, to tartarus, or any other horrifying place in Equestria is debatable.
• Fleeing the timeline after retrieving spike from where ever he may be at this time. I never really thought about where he is because my main focus was Villain and main characters to the 'story' of sorts.
• Possibly other out comes if I think of any.. Regardless what I have above is basically as far as I got.
