It's a long story! I actually met him in the fifth grade when I was a wee little ten year old.

 

 

     It was night time. The streetlights were on, glowing their golden yellow and the rain was pitter-pattering down outside. I was just getting ready for my shower when I suddenly heard meows at my window. Confused whether or not I was hearing things, I peeked out the blinds of my window and that's when I saw him: the silhouette of a cat on top of the air conditioning unit. He didn't seem to notice me until I opened the blinds completely. I ran and told my mother there was a cat at the window. She opened the window which allowed us to see him completely. We decided to feed him what would suffice as cat food. (We didn't have any at the time, of course.) We gave him salmon that we just so happened to have. He ate, but didn't leave yet. He looked like he wanted to come inside, but he didn't. I already knew that he would be wary of us because we only just met him. I attempted to pet him, but he only backed away. I understood. We left the window open for a long time that night before closing it when we had to go to bed. We didn't think he'd come back...he surprised us the next day. He was there when I got home! The cat didn't come in still, but he let us pet him. It took a long time before he finally entered the building completely. Now, he comes back everyday! Since he does live outside, he returns with wounds every now and then. He heals very quickly though. That's his story! ^^

My mother calls him 'Willy (William) Dexter James', but I just call him Mr. Cat! :blush:
