Chapter 2

"H-how, how are you still alive?! They said you were dead! This, this is impossible!" Zera wheezed, sitting down on the floor with a *THUMP* 

Scootaloo gave him a look, "money talks, Zera, money talks," she murmured, shaking her head, Zera gasped "You mean they were paid to keep quiet about you still being around?" he inquired. 

Zera looked at Scootaloo, no longer the bright filly from before, but a sullen mare, one eye was hidden behind a matted, unruly mane, the visible eye was bloodshot and was already shiny with tears. 

"Precisely," Scootaloo said hoarsely, her voice a cross between a rasp and nasally. 

"I thought she had changed, I thought it was different, but I was wrong, I was so very very wrong," Zera sobbed, he tried to cry out but the only sound that he made was a strangled squeak.

"I heard you talking to her, you need to take this place down, it isn't safe here for you," Scootaloo snuffled. 

A voice hicupped from behind them, "Take her down you say? I'm thinking I can roll with that," Scoots and Zera whipped around to see Nightstorm, Rainbow's cousin, leaning casually in the doorway

"Nightstorm! Fancy seeing you here!" said Scootaloo, bumping him a brohoof, Zera stepped past "You say you can help us?" he said excitedly, "Absolutely," Nightstorm replied.
