Uhh, Michael angst I guess? Was bored so I figured I'd ride the nostalgia train and do FNAF stuff because the movie.

Tw: Manipulation, Torment, Slight Cursing

Michael couldn't sleep, why did he need to? He never got much anyways, but he was thinking lately, about the things his father had said.

He had told him he had a purpose, that he loved him, but Michael couldn't help but think he was lying, after all, normal fathers don't lock their sons in their basements, right?

They were watching again, the nightmares as he had called them, 'shit' Michael thought, laying flat on his back staring at the ceiling.

He finally managed to nod off and....

"Wake up, Michael! It's time once again, you've slept long enough," Michael didn't think he slept at all, but he knew better than to backtalk his father.

Michael laid awake and watched as his father came over to unstrap him from his makeshift bed, which William had said was "For his own good" and would "Keep him safe from wandering with his night terrors,"

Pah, Michael knew the night terrors was because of the purple smoke, his pale purplish eyes squinted in the dim light from a fading lightbulb.

Michael wanted to ask why his father did this to him, why did his father insist on stirring up his increasingly irritated nerves?

"Why?" Michael croaked out, his father looked him straight in the eyes, "Because, you have a purpose Michael, you are special, you are different from your brother and sister, you will fulfill my experiments, you're helping me accomplish great things,"

Michael didn't think he could take much more of the nightmares and hallucinations, the drugs being pumped into the ventilation down here in the form of the smoke, whatever hallucinogen it was, Michael had had enough of it.

Michael began to sob, uncontrollable, loud, hiccupping sobs, his whole body trembling while the tears just poured out of him.

His father tilted his head at the boy sobbing in front of him, at first he did not react to his behavior, then he slowly but surely brought Michael into a cold, almost robotic hug, Michael cried harder and held his father tight, why was it like this, he loved somebody so cold to him?

Michael was in an emotional spot at that moment, "Now, Michael, I understand this must all be a lot for you, but you have to realize that I care about you, I'm doing what's best for us all, you will only frighten your siblings if I allow you to live upstairs, this is for the good of your wellbeing, you are safer down here,"

Michael cried more, coughing and sniffling, "You are my greatest creation, Michael, you will be what you always should have been, this is for the greater good, I am the only one who will ever love you, I'm your father, don't you know I care about you?"

His father cupped a hand on his head as if being protective, Michael didn't like this, while he appreciated the hug and all, he didn't like how his dad had said only he would care about him.

His dad ran his hand through his short, wavy brunette hair. "You're safe, trust me, you have no reason to ever leave the safety you have here,"

Michael hoped to God he wasn't lying, but he had a feeling he was.

"Now, stay and do as you're told, okay?"

Michael sat cross legged on the carpetted floor of the basement, hands in his lap, tears still fresh on his face, and awaited his father's commands.

Michael heard a voice through a vent, "Do you really think there's a monster in the basement?" The voice was young, sounded about 5, 'Davey' Michael knew. Davey, his supposed little brother he was never to see...

"Sure I'm sure, why would Daddy say there is if there wasn't?" Elizabeth, Michael thought.

Hopefully one day, he could say hello to them without objection from Father.
