Did I do the right thing?

So, just earlier, I was on the bus heading home. We were on the first neighborhood, next to it a lake, and then, my neighborhood across from the lake. Now, we were finishing the first stop, when we see an old lady that has fell over with trash on her, a trash can on her. We assume that she was pushing her trash in the can, then she had fell over (which was actually the story). First thing we did: I called 911, and we went out to help the lady up. We had like 30 kids around, so more than enough help. After we gotten her to be all right, a few of the people from my neighborhood decided to cross the bridge to the neighborhood. After checking the situation out, I followed them. I'm back home now, only a 10 minute walk, but now I feel guilty. I think it was the wrong thing to do, yet, she had more than enough help... But, I would have to wait until the ambulance came, and that won't be for another 20 minutes, and I have stuff to do... Plus, that neighborhood is the last on my route... Was that the right thing?

Sure.  It's okay to put your trust in people you know.  I mean as long as someone said they would stay with her until the ambulance came

As long as somebody is still over there waiting with her,I don't see any problem here. You played your part, and now you can rest easy if you want.
