Hey everypony!
I wanted to post this to give an update on things, after being offline for a week and made a lot of plans and shtuffz. There's good new and bad news.
1. May as well get the bad news out of the way.
Last week sucked for me. After my parents threatened to take away my nocturnality/ponynet access and drove me into depression, we reached a compromise in which I could go on the ponynet on weekends. I guess I'll have to appreciate my time with you all more now. Happy ending despite the...unhappy events.
2. An idea of mine...
Well, my birfday is approaching in a lil less than a month and a half. And I thought it would be awesome to have a big celebration with all of you, my bestest fwends! But then I realized mah birfdai wouldn't be a big deal unless I made it a big deal! And if I tried to get you all to give me things I'd be a conceited brat, so the only logical way would be to give you things! So.....
"Nighty's Birthday Bash!"
On May 27, I will release a set of new stories (and probably new music too) for you all to enjoy, covering a variety of genres.
The stories include:
"A Spot of Chocolate Tea" [Comedy]
A brief comedy one-shot, in which Puzzle Master from my previous fics (if you haven't read them, he's a lot like Professor Moriarty, except more ambitious) invites Discord over for a lovely game of chess. Hilarity ensues.
"Black Winter" [Grimdark/Tragedy]
The next chapter of Corrupted Roots, my least favorite story. I typed up this next chapter a while ago and didn't really have any reason/motive to release it given that I don't really like it, but I'll release it alongside the others. It is well written, but, well, pretty friggin dark.
The next chapter of "Elements of Disharmony: Necessary Corruption". [Dark/Adventure]
I've been releasing these pretty steadily, but I'll have the next one ready by then.
"Wisp" [Dark/Adventure]
This one's a secret. 
It's a new story and it will be decently long, but I think it's my best one yet--it combines the writing style of Corrupted Roots with the deep psychological mood and themes of Elements of Disharmony: Necessary Corruption. In a word: 'mysterious'. I'm excited to release this, but I want to be a couple chapters in before I publish it. Just to give you a hint, here's the first paragraph:
Beneath the black curtain of the starless midnight sky a lone stallion walked, heading towards the fiery dawn which lay beyond the unreachable horizon. The dawn's brilliant rays of gold that would someday swathe the land in warmth and life were nonexistent to him, a fantasy that lay dead with his spirit. Far above his field of vision lay a tear in the sky's curtain where the moon had ripped from the core of the sky; her ever-watchful eye had disappeared over a millennium ago. Below the empty sky corruption reigned, rising from the depths and the ashes, invisible to the naked eye.
And i might have another cool idea for a story to release by then. :3
I'll probably make another song or two by then--I have a ton of ideas to build on--but as of now, I haven't started on any.
So...yeah. That's my update. I'll be seein' y'all over the next couple of days, and then next weekend!
