So, Im just going to get down to the main topic. Its just like any other case: My friends dont like My Little Pony. Naturally, I dont really care that they do not like the show, but I do see the openly hating the show on their Facebooks. Excuse my language, Celestia, "Horse Fuckers". I see that popping up along with the generic comments: "Its for girls..etc." Unfortunately, I dont want to be bashed on by my own friends.

 

I feel like a coward, I should say something, but I lack enough friends.. I dont want to lose them. Maybe Im holding too tightly on the ol' friendship rope? I do not know.. However, I hate what they are saying, but what do I do? What makes this so confusing is not their fandoms(Generic things: LoZ, Black Butler, etc.), but what happens when you dont like it as much as them. I said to a friend of mine; "Legend Of Zelda is good, but I think you give it too much credit." INSTA-HATE. I was looked at as If I just killed their puppy and after that was bashing. "Youre dumb." "LoZ is best pony." Blah blah blah. All I could do was laugh, cause MLP? Pitchforks and misery. Quite anniying to say the very least and I think Ill end it there.

bro if your friends cant accept you for who you than there's nothing to worry about there not your friends tell then to go away and find some good people that don't care what you watch and accept you for who you are

Difficult question.

 

On the one hand, it's never fun to be hated on by anyone, especially your own friends.

 

On the other hoof, though, standing up for what you like is virtuous and something to be proud of. I'm a bit hesitant to say this because it seems...judgmental...but you might be able to figure out if they are worth being friends with based on their reaction if you do say you're a brony. Who knows; they should might back down just because you're their friend. And if they do get up in your face about it, and they're cruel to you just because you like a TV show that they don't...are they really worth being friends with in the first place?

 

That's just my opinion, though. It's your choice.

 

EDIT: By the way, did you come up with that last line? Because holy crap that is freakin' amazing writing! 8D I'm totally not going to steal that line and use it in a fanfic I'm writing. ;3

Yes, judgmental. It is something I want to avoid altogether, however Ill tell and see what happens. It scares me, but I wont cower. Thanks! And I did come up with the last line, you can totally take that line if you want. XD
