I've Got Something to Say
Today, there shall be Blogception, for I shall post a blog entry, talking about other blogs. Enjoy this bending of the space-blog continuum.
Anyway, there's something that I've been seeing a lot of, just on different sites, different blogs; the blogger doesn't have anything to talk about, so they post an entry, asking other people what to talk about, and then talk about it the next day. Now, I'm sorry to anyone who does this and may be offended by my saying so, but that just seems horrible to me. One should not be so obsessed with one's blog that one posts on it despite not having anything to say. I've got my blog, but I don't let it become more to me than what it was intended to be; a place for me to talk/rant about whatever's on my mind and start discussions. If I don't have anything to talk about, I don't post on my damn blog.
See, when a blogger has nothing to talk about, that blogger no longer has a reason to blog, because what reason would people have to read a blog if the blogger can't think of interesting topics? Hell, even on blogs that I generally like, if the topic doesn't interest me, I'm not going to read it that day, because my whole reason to read the blog is to read other people's thought on things that interest me.
So, to wrap up, if you don't have a topic, don't blog, you're just wasting everyone's time.
