I'm just going to be very honest about how I'm feeling right now, as I feel I need to express it.

For most of my life, I've always felt unhappy with myself to some degree, as I'd often end up comparing myself to others. I realize that this is unhealthy and counter-productive, so I'm making a change.

Instead of thinking how great so-and-so is for their accomplishment(s) and ending up feeling down or even bitter, I'm going to work towards doing that for myself. If I want to be the best I can be in every sense of the word, I need to be the one that creates that change.

So, from now on, I'm going to do my best to finally achieve happiness with myself, to actually believe in myself.

This is not going to be an easy journey by any means, but it's one I need to take.

Good for you! Even if the journey ahead is difficult or even unpleasant at times, you'll be glad you're on it. Definitely just became the coolest person on the internet. XP

Good for you! Big step forward, not comparing yourself to others. Most people never get past it-your life will be much better for it. Well done!

I might show you my resume eventually. I didn't do a whole lot of extracurricular activities in college, because I just wasn't really into that, so I feel like that inhibits me sometimes. Though the job I was declined for I know I didn't have as much experience as other appliers.

Climbing out of the pit of negativity is tough, but as long as you remember there's always people willing to give you a hand, you'll be fine. I hope it all works out!
