I have thought of more ideas for Discord's glorious reign of chaos!

 

He could literally switch the colors of the ponies's mane with the color of their fur and vice versa. Wouldn't be all that major but would still be interesting.

 

He could also switch the personalities of the mane 6.

 

So we would have like a hyper and bouncy Twilight and a shy and timid Pinkie Pie.

I can see it now. Twilight  becomes a laidback country yokel. Fluttershy becomes a hyperactive party animal. Rarity becomes an egotistical slovenly athlete. Pinkie becomes a nerdy aspie know it all. Rainbow becomes an obsessive compulsive fusspot and Applejack becomes a craven coward.

How about a "Weekend at Discord's" episode? Think about it, it could tie into Fluttershy's eventual coronation. Here's how it could work: Twilight is working on a formula that could turn Discord's good and evil halves into separate entities, unfortunately she leaves the CMC in charge of guarding the formula since Spike is on vacation. Sweetie tries to practice magic but fails miserably and somehow accidentally kills Discord causing the gang to have to pretend he's still alive in order to pass a test from Celestia.

Okay, not meaning to especially pick on you, but some of the characters you listed, in fact, almost all of them, aren't evil, they simply aren't friendly.

 

I mean, Chrysalis is evil. Nightmare Moon is evil. Trixie? Gilda? The Flim/Flam brothers? Prince Blueblood? Despite not being the best role models for foals and fillies around the world, they aren't trying to conquer Equestria or anything.

That's what would make it interesting. They would be targeting the gang specifically. It's already clear that Trixie doesn't care who gets hurt as long as she can make Twilight suffer and that Gilda has no loyalty other than to herself. I already said that I'd see Blueblood as a member simply to be around Trixie. Equestria will burn in their wake only until Twilight and Friends are found dead in the rubble. Also I don't see Flim and Flam being members of Elements of disharmony willingly. They'd have been blackmailed into being members. They'd turn Court's evidence on the others for a much lighter sentence.

Er, just out of curiosity, why would anyone think Rarity robbed a bank? Why would anyone even suspect her? I mean, she can find gems at-will, and theoretically have near-infinite riches.

For something in a safety deposit box of course. Let's say that Trixie planted evidence that Rarity was a hack and that her designs were copied from someone else. It doesn't matter that our seven teenage heroes know that that evidence is fake. It only matters that the police don't. Clearing up the matter will take hours maybe days leaving Trixie and her lackeys free to move on to the next phase of her plan.

I love that idea!

Yeah I figure that Trixie as the leader (with shades of Prof. Moriarty) would be the element of sorcery. Blueblood would be the element of selfishness.  Flim and Flam would be the element of duplicity. Gilda would be the element of treachery, the new additions would be the elements of spite and malice and Garble represents peer pressure vs Spike's free will. Blueblood would develop a relationship with Trixie that darkly mirrors Spike and Rarity's hinted at relationship. Whereas Spike and Rarity are equal partners, Blueblood is ultimately Trixie's flunkey. Trixie would also taunt Twilight and the gang with riddles containing clues to identities of her co-conspirators: "I'd be a lyin' if I said this wasn't my way of giving you the bird." To add more power to the story the CMC could be kidnapped. With Scootaloo being kept in a building in Cloudsdale containing a bomb. In fact the bombs should be placed throughout Cloudsdale, Canterlot and Ponyville so that Twilight, Rainbow and Fluttershy will have a harder time deactivating them. It could be a two part episode and in the climax of part one, Trixie could be confronted by Twilight at the falls behind Celestia's castle where she is revealed to have enhanced her abilities with a pair of cybernetic wings that she built from specs stolen from a lab in Whinnypeg. Part two could begin with Twilight and Trixie both falling to their deaths in the struggle. Later while the gang is trying to adjust to life without her, a mysterious eldery book peddler appears at either the library or the boutique depending on whether Spike stayed in the library or moved in with Rarity so they could comfort each other. Spike invites in the mysterious old mare who as soon as he turns his back is revealed to be Twilight, alive and well. Perhaps Blueblood escaped from police custody after hearing about Trixie's fall and was hunting Twilight for revenge. So in order to protect her friends Twilight had to let them think she was dead, confiding only in Celestia and Shining Armor.

Comical highlights could include:

If it is one we've seen, I think It will likely be the return of Discord. But I think new villain is likely. I would prefer it if Discord reappered myself.

(TI think he is most likely, because he is the only villain that hasn't reoccured, in some fashion, other than Chrysalis)

You must have missed "Keep Calm and Flutter On". Fluttershy outsmarted him at his own game in that episode. WITHOUT THE HELP OF THE ELEMENTS. 

How about a Legion of Doom sort of thing between Trixie, Blueblood, Flim and Flam, Gilda, Garble and two newer characters. Think about it. Trixie assembles almost every one-off who'd have a grudge against the gang.She blackmails a reluctant Flim and Flam into joining while Blueblood joins because he hates Rarity (for that reason you suck speech) AND is smitten with Trixie and Gilda works well enough with her anyway. They could be portrayed as truly villainous, pulling off multiple felonies to wear down the mane seven, perhaps bombings in Cloudsdale, a bank robbery in Canterlot (for which Rarity is framed), among other things.

On  my on, I'm lazy, cowardly, jealous, opinionated, tactless, egotistical, rude, insulting, distrustful,bitter, vengeful, spiteful and duplicitous. Being discorded would be an improvement. 

How about a plan Plan 9 from Outer Space episode? Worst movie ever made.

Any episode inspired by an Ed Wood movie would do. He was the original no talent hack.

How about Spike as Fred? setting off those booby traps to catch the guy in the monster suit requires a certain level of dexterity. Applejack has neither a horn nor wings nor hands, and thus has no way of setting off a trap worthy of Fred. Spike however has hands and can manipulate things like levers, knobs and switches.

Actually, it's more of a good thing that they have it. Let's see some people in history who had Aspergers (or symptoms): Albert Einstein, Nikola Tesla (Definately I suspect), Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Edison, and a whole lot more.

Don't forget, Sherlock Holmes, Charles Darwin, Dan Ackroyd, Satoshi tajiri, and Mozart. Holmes is an interesting case, because not only is he a fictional character but he would be living proof that you not all Aspies are neat, tidy or organized. In fact Holmes was slovenly, disheveled and slightly chaotic (his living space was a total mess, he would commit breaking and entering to gain evidence. His hair was often unkempt, he was totally unconcerned about his appearance. He would perform numerous forensics experiments, oblivious to the fact that neither his landlady nor his roommate really cared for him shooting the queen's initials into the wall.) Twilight from what I learned in psychology classes is a textbook case. She is extremely awkward. Even when she's those she considers friends she has trouble understanding figurative expressions, she often fails to correctly read facial cues. She'll often prattle on soapbox or not about some topic of interest to herself alone, unaware that she's boring her only actual friends or that they're not actually listening or that she's offended them. She is a slave to routine a common symptom, even I have it, only my routine is my utter lack of a discernible routine, I often appear make up the events of my day as I go along. She is obsessive about things being in a certain order, even the sloppiest of aspie's tends to be like that. My books for example are in alphabetical order by author's name and publication order by author's work.

If they reform Chrysalis I will nail this franchise to the cross and burn it. I can understand reforming Discord, because he was never a villain to begin with. Chrysalis is a leech and clearly wants rule over all life, she should stay that way. Also what's wrong with repeating villains? Comics and movies get away with it all the time and it works 

 

The mane 6, well some of them are super heroines. I would say Twilight and Rainbow and that's it. I feel like if Twilight had a nemesis it could give the show a classic fight between good and evil

Yeah Discord was mostly an annoyance, more Mxyzptlk than Joker, but I still think Trixie's apology was just a pure and total crock.

I don't see the point in Twilight having a nemesis. Twilight is not like Superman or Batman, she not a crime fighter. She is just a pony that learns about friendship. 

 

I don't see the writers going in a path where Chrysalis is attacking Ponyville every week like Rita Repulsa did in Power Rangers. That's not the point of the show.

What about Trixie pulling off some crime of the century (usually a heist, robbery or wave of cyber-terrorism  or specifically and personally targeting Twilight once a month. If used right Trixie could be the kind of enemy that challenges Twilight on a more personal level, challenging her intellect moreso than the strength of her friendships. We could always use at least one other mystery story on the show. How did Trixie pull each crime off?

Sparity's probs my favourite, but I like Doctor Whooves x Derpy Hooves as well. Flarity's okay, too. But I really hate family shippings (including Spilight) just because.... ewww! I mean, family! as well as Scoots x RD! It just grosses me out! No offense to those who like that but I don't. 

Yeah Spike and Twilight are clearly brother and sister. I think ScootaMoe (Howard)'s Relationship with Rainbow is more Like Rarity's with the Monopoly guy pony than her relationship with Larry (Fine) Belle or AJ's With Curly (Howard) Bloom. Aunt/Uncle and niece.

You're entitled to your opinion of course but can you explain why you think it would be best for pinkie to marry a no nonsense no fun royal guard so she doesn't get betrayed by the element of loyalty?

I don't know, it may be the Discyzptlk (Discord fused with or impersonating Mxyzptlk) in me talking, but I do love the irony in that.

As a staunch atheist (which would probably give me something in common with Twilight) i am required by common sense and fair play to either support or be indifferent to gay rights.

Twi can be oblivious to all but the most direct statements, and direct Fluttershy ain't.

 

Even overcoming that hurdle, it'd just be too sugary sweet, IMO.

I don't know.

I'm probably a really rare case here, but I don't care for shipping at all. Shipping in anything is just sort of... stupid to be honest. I do like pairs of characters interacting, and their friendships and stuff, but shipping means romantic, at least to me, and it's something that really doesn't make sense. Not to mention a lot of shipping in MLP assumes everypony is gay since there's so many females, which doesn't make sense. When people got upset over their Fluttershy/Big Mac with all the Cheerilee/Big Mac, I just rolled my eyes. Shipping wars are so dumb too, IMO.

 

I like Lyra and Bonbon together, but everyone always assumes they love each other, couldn't they just big best friends too?

DJ Pon3 and Octavia I like when people draw them because they're so different and they're musicians and I like the characters, but shipping? That doesn't make sense.

 

I do like Spike and Rarity since it's something that's actually been brought up in the show and isn't random or anything, but shipping itself, I don't really care for at all.

Spike and Rarity always give off such a Gomez and Morticia vibe and when they don't they give off one of Mario and Princess Peach.

I kinda ship Blueblood and Rarity, mainly because I attempted to mske a fanific explaining Blueblood's behavior. And I would ship Cadence and Shining Armor, but that one really doesn't count because it's a given. BIG MAC AND CHEERILEE!!!!

In my headcanon, Blueblood has it in for Rarity for humiliating him with that reason you suck speech and eventually joins a group founded and led by Trixie to oppose the mane 7 and becomes smitten with her, resulting in their relationship being a warped reflection of any relationship between Spike and Rarity where as many of the things Spike does for her, Rarity would clearly prefer that he not do them because she doesn't want to take advantage of him, while Blueblood will do anything for Trixie and she willingly uses him. Although in my headcanon Trixie becomes a pseudo-alicorn by fusing a pair of cybernetic wings (from stolen specifications) to herself in order to be a match against Twilight.
