  1. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics back in 2013. I am currently employed as a Clinical Research Coordinator and will apply to Medical School this Summer. Hopefully, I can get an acceptance to begin in Fall 2019. It has always been my dream to become a Doctor!
  2. Last Summer was the 1st time that I ever traveled outside of the United States! I got to visit England, France, and Italy and it was absolutely wonderful! I would love to visit the following countries in the near future: Mexico - I love Mexican food and culture. Being from the United States, we don't get to try authentic Mexican food too often, so I would love to get the chance to try all types of moles, sopas, pan dulces, etc... Vietnam - The country my family had to escape following the end of the Vietnam War back in 1975. Even though we've been residing here in the US for more than 40 years, I would like to go back to learn more about my culture and heritage. Japan - 1 of my top travel destinations. Food, anime, manga, and video games are just some of the reasons why I want to visit this beautiful country. Plus it would be really cool to try one of those capsule hotels that I see on Youtube every now and then.
  3. Probably Starlight, Sunset, and Twilight for me. I just find them all so endearing!
  4. Happy New Year Everyone! Hear are some of my resolutions to start off 2018 strong:

    1. Update my profile, and be a little more active on the forums.
    2. Read one book a month.
    3. Exercise at least 5 times a week, and be on a more strict schedule.
    4. Study hard and do well on the MCAT so that I can get accepted into Medical School!
    5. Be more patient and understanding with others :squee:.
  5. I don't think the Brony fandom will ever become extinct. But it has certainly dropped off in popularity over time. That's just something that was bound to happen, given how long MLP is still on the air. It's been on tv for more then seven years already! Kids who were born when MLP first aired back in 2010, are now in the 2nd grade ! We are guaranteed 2 more seasons of Pony goodness to bring the season total to 9. I don't know many children's cartoon shows that have made it up to 9 seasons without dropping massively in quality (i'm looking at you Spongebob ).
  6. I am 6'0" or 183 cm and am pretty tall for my race. I can probably kiss my dreams of being 6'3" goodbye since I just turned 24 years old a week ago .
  7. I did Karate from age 7-11 and got up to Blue belt in rank. I then switched to Tae-Kwon-Do and did that for 6 years. Me and my 2 brothers all received our 2nd degree black belts before quitting back in 2012. So in total, I did martial arts for about 10 years. I learned great life lessons that I still implement to this day.
  8. Christmas was fantastic this year! I bought a Nintendo Switch for my family and we have been enjoying it more than we could have imagined! The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle, and Sonic Mania are just a few of the games that we have been enjoying!
  9. One of my New Year's Resolutions for 2018 is to be more active. It also helps that I got an Apple Watch for my birthday (thanks Mom!). It holds me accountable, and I make sure to close all of my activity rings everyday if I can. In a given week, I like to run a 5k at least twice a week, lift weights twice a week, and do Yoga for 1.5 hours. Any type of physical activity is a great way to de-stress and be healthy!
  10. I had a crush on a girl in the 9th grade. We were in the same P.E. class, and were both the same race and ethnicity (which was a bit uncommon since there were not many people of my ethnicity at my school). She was dating someone else at the time, so I did not approach her.
  11. Between Dr. Pepper and Mountain Dew, I gotta give it to the Dew. I don't normally drink sodas, but Pepsi has always been my favorite .
  12. Hi everyone, Hope you are all doing well and are looking forward to the movie in a couple of weeks! It's definitely been a while since I posted on the forums here. There is something that I have been meaning to get off my chest these past couple of months. After the midseason break, I have been unable to get myself to watch new episodes of My Little Pony. This has never happened to me before. I began watching MLP back in 2012, and would always catch new episodes the Saturday it came out. I never missed an episode of Season 3, 4, 5, 6, and the 1st half of season 7. The last episode that I watched was episode 10 (A Royal Problem) and I enjoyed it immensely! I loved Starlight, Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna in that episode. Glimmy has even overtaken Rainbow Dash as my all time favorite character in the entire show! Yet for some reason, I seemed to have lost that excitement I used to get when viewing a new episode. Don't get me wrong, I still love FIM. I have posters, plushies, t-shirts, music, you name it. I used to look forward to viewing new episodes of Pony as soon as the weekend hit. I don't want to get to the point where I look at it as another task I need to do to check off my "to-do list" for the day. I haven't reached that point yet, but I feel it approaching quickly. I have been in the fandom for nearly 5 1/2 years. Maybe a part of it is due to fatigue and just "growing out" of the series. This is where you guys come in. Has anyone experienced something similar to this before? How have you guys stayed engaged and excited over all of these years? Any tips and advice you guys are willing to share, I would greatly appreciate it.
  13. Wow... simply stunning. I haven't been left this blown away since Season 6's "The Saddle Row Review". I am happy to see that an overwhelming majority of us enjoyed it (86% Love rating must be a new record or something ). I really have to commend MLP for still finding ways to surprise me after nearly 7 years on the air. Lewis and Songco have really hit a home run with this episode. To me, this is the best episode of season 7 and definitely in the top 10 of all time! I definitely need to rewatch this episode a couple more times before I even begin to formulate my thoughts and opinions.
  14. I'm curious to see what will unfold 1 month from now. It's kind of like how the Season 6 finale broke tradition by focusing exclusively on the supporting cast and not having a song appear at all! Season 7 looks to be doing the same by breaking the tradition of having a dedicated 2-part premiere. I don't mind the change at all. It's good to shake things up after following the same routine for the past 6 years .
  15. I too am very happy that Thorax's voice is still the same. I was a little worried that it would change to sound more regal and majestic since he underwent a full on transformation, but i'm glad that was not the case. It's like how Twilights voice is the still the same after becoming an Alicorn. Could you imagine if they replaced Tara Strong? There would be riots everywhere :-o!
  16. Favorite Season Premiere: Season 5's The Cutie Map. Bar none, the most ambitious premiere in the entire show. The storytelling and humor was unlike anything that we had ever seen the show attempt to do before. I absolutely adored Starlight in this episode. So cunning and manipulative . Favorite Season Finale: Season 5's The Cutie Re-Mark. I had to go with S5 once again. Starlight's performance here really cemented this finale as my favorite in the entire show.
  17. The Season 7 preview looks very promising. I can't wait to see what sort of adventures and hijinks our beloved cast get themselves into. April 15 can't come soon enough! 5 years of watching this show, and I still get all giddy and excited :D

  18. Very interesting premise. It seems that Starlight's graduation takes place sometime after the events of the Season 6 finale. And i'm glad that we got confirmation that Thorax's voice is still the same from before the reformation. I was curious if they were going to change it, but i'm glad that wasn't the case . Did Starlight's graduation come too early? Probably (even she thinks so too, after the announcement from Twilight surprised her). But this can be interpreted in many different ways. Just because you graduate from school, doesn't mean that you stop learning. That same mindset can be applied here. Starlight may not be Twilight's pupil anymore, but she will still be learning Friendship lessons on her own. That's just my $0.02 Just 1 more month of waiting folks. It's a truly amazing feeling that a show that i've been watching for 5 years still gets me excited .
  19. The Saddle Row Review is probably one of the funniest episodes in the entire show! That post-interview structure of the episode really allowed for a lot of well timed jokes and gags to be written. My favorite joke from the episode would probably be the scene where Dash points to the chair and says, "This chair... not clothes". So random, but very effective in getting a good laugh out of me .
  20. I have no hard feelings for Dave Polsky deparating. He gave us great episodes throughout his 6 seasons with the show. I really feel like he hit his stride in the 4th and 5th season. Rarity takes Manehattan, For whom the Sweetie Belle Toils, and Brotherhooves Social are my favorite episodes from him. It's a little sad seeing him go, as he was the final writer pre-season 4 to still be in the show. I wish him the best of luck with his new show and all other future endeavors .
  21. I'm honestly still surprised that people are giving you grief over this. FIM has been on the air for over 6 years, so surely people should be used to seeing pony avatars every now and then. I remember around 2011-2013, people were much more hostile then. In any event, just ignore them and continue to flaunt your pony icon proudly. They're leaving those nasty comments to try to get a reaction out of you. Take the high road and let bygones be bygones
  22. My vote goes to Rarity. Tabitha St. Germain is probably my favorite voice actress in the entire show. Her range is limitless! I always enjoy her performance whenever Rarity is on screen since she is so vibrant and expressive . Plus, it's an accent that most of us have never heard before. I'm sure we've all heard a variation of AJ's southern accent at some point in our lives .
  23. Like some have said before me, I wouldn't get your hopes too high if you're expecting a brand new intro for the season. The MLP intro is kind of like the Spongebob and Simpsons intro. The same theme song with some slight visual tweaks here and there. We've had the same intro for over 6 years now, and I highly doubt that it is going to change anytime soon. Why change something that is very iconic to the franchise ?
  24. Glad to finally get official confirmation. I've been enjoying the Holidays and haven't really kept up with MLP news. As always, i'm excited to see what kinds of adventures and hijinks our favorite equines will get themselves into next Spring .
  25. Oh absolutely! Rarity Investigates is easily in my top 10 favorite episodes of all time! It caught me completely off guard on my initial viewing. The framing device was extremely creative. While the story and plot twist was predictable, I could appreciate the journey throughout as it was very entertaining and enjoyable. I really do hope we get another episode like it in the future .
