  1. @morethanicecream Thanks. Although, things could be coming along a little better. However, I guess it's our humble beginnings, huh?
  2. @WindsweptFrog Alright, cool. Thanks. I appreciate it. I'll be waiting to see what you have up your sleeve, lol. Good luck with it.
  3. @WindsweptFrog If you could try working with MLP, that'd be great. But I don't think you know how to get a character to work with anyway, so...I'm not sure. Surprise me, I guess.
  4. @WindsweptFrog Do you think you could make a quick animation, just so I can see where you're at and such? I don't know if it'd be too much trouble.
  5. @WindsweptFrog Okay. Hm... Do you have any clips or examples of the animations you have done in Adobe Flash? It'd be nice to see them.
  6. @WindsweptFrog We're using Adobe Flash Professional, Adobe Illustrator (mostly for backgrounds and promo posters), and perhaps even Adobe After Effects for enhancement. I don't know if you have any experience with those.
  7. @WindsweptFrog Of course. You don't need to draw when we have puppet rigs. Have you worked on any flash animations before? Especially on MLP? @morethanicecream Yeah. Although, the bully's part doesn't come around for quite a while, unless there will be flashbacks in the animation. However, the main part doesn't come until a long time, depending on how many people we have to help.
  8. So you're experienced with Flash? And what do you mean by "the interest of the show"? Are you talking about the series we are making?
  9. Yeah sure. You can audition for any of those if you don't mind the not so many appearances they make. Since this is a fan made series, it's going to take a while to get to those parts where, for example, Shining Armor, would appear. However, the more help I get, the faster this can go.
  10. Um, not really to be honest. You're a male right? Since there are not many males in the show, I'm looking more for females to audition. The only males I know would be just those ponies that speak a line or two. Hm, if you could find any pony to voice for, you're more than welcome to audition for that part. However, as I said, it's going to be a bit harder for males, as there are not many voices for males.
  11. Sure, go ahead. Don't mind this. I'm just filling the minimum required characters limit which I kind of find annoying because I have to keep doing this for short responses.
  12. Pretty much every character in the series, lol. Every character that talks in the show to put it simply. I honestly prefer for girls to remain girls and guys to remain guys. Also, I prefer for one person to stick with one character in the series. For example, if someone becomes Rarity and wants to do say... Applejack too, I don't really want that to happen. I feel like keeping this seperate will add a little more...uniqueness to the character. However, if we are very short of voice actors and we don't have time, then I suppose I can allow it. However, for right now, if anyone voices one of the main characters, they can also audition/voice for a character that appears once in an episode or not so often; pretty much a secondary character. If you'd like to audition for any pony, please don't hesitate to contact with me. Yes, I have storyboards. I've finished the one for the teaser, which shouldn't be that long (maybe half a minute to a minute or so). I've finished most of the storyboards for the opening of the first episode. For audio files, that would probably have to wait until voice actors are retrieved. However, the teaser doesn't require much. We're still working on backgrounds, which we could really use more assistance on. Now, the length of this project? Well, it's going to be a really long one... So long that I honestly don't have a date for it. If you have a skype, you can send me any questions you have on there.
  13. Flash is the program used by the Animators of the show to make the animation. The full name is Adobe Flash Professional. It's expensive though.
  14. That sounds really useful. Would you be able to make flash backgrounds and animations? What do you mean by fancy technology? A clear mic that doesn't have any background noise seems fine enough for me.
  15. Sure. Although your background comment got me interested. How can you help with the backgrounds, if you don't mind me asking? I'll try to explain it as much as I can without any spoilers. The story is basically the start from the beginning of the series and goes on from there, following the series's episodes. Now the thing here is how the episodes may be affected by the new stallion added. Not only does this story reveal what may happen or what changes might occur by the added pony, but it also gives a different point of view from the episodes that don't quite follow the mane six, such as the CMC episodes. The story also provides closure that some of the episodes might have actually not. The main character, the OC, doesn't just join in and absolutely provides nothing to the plot. He has his own backstory and it all affects the main plot. However, his story, along with other concerns about him, aren't revealed in the first episode. The viewer, or the reader, has to continue reading as everything ties in gradually. Eventually, the truth is revealed. Of course, even after that truth is released, there are still many other questions that need to be answered throughout the story and thus, what may seem the end, is only the beginning towards a journey to find more answers to particular things. Speaking out of the story's plot, the outside purposes are new as well. This story adds in a more "male" touch, if you know what I mean. Not that the show wasn't good as it was or anything, but you could say this story appeals more towards men, mostly teens. This is still a story that anyone can enjoy. It just adds a little more emotional content than the actual series. This story brings in more issues from reality, such as focusing more on bullies, depression, etc. The issues that are added in, I'm sure a lot of people can relate to. If someone can take the time to read beyond the words and really get into it, then I'm sure they'll love the story. Otherwise, for those that just read the words and expect everything to be brought to them as quickly as possible...then maybe not so much... Also, I'm not so sure if we've met before. *shrug*
  16. Supporters, I have. Writers, I pretty much don't need. I'm the only writer and I've already done, and am continuing to do, a lot. Music is the only thing I don't have much on. I'm planning on using some songs not related to MLP. It's more like the background music I need, which isn't really a huge part of the animation.
  17. Hm... No idea then... Skype is a little crucial, as you're able to send files and talk in a group chat, etc etc. Filling in the least required letter again...
  18. Hm... Have you tried reinstalling it? Don't mind these letters, I'm just filling in the minimum required amount of characters for the post.
  19. Trust me. I know the process. I've already worked on the storyboards but the main reason why I need animators right now is to try to get the teaser I made out. I already completed the storyboard for the teaser. I'll be honest. I haven't placed any voice actors to any positions yet because I was hoping to leave the voice actors after retrieving animators. 1. If I get a teaser out (which will require no voices by the way) people will see how this isn't a joke. What I mean is that a lot of people see me as some random person who probably doesn't know crap dealing with projects like this. And I understand how they could feel like that. I can see how those who already have the skills to work on their own things wouldn't trust or assist some random stranger they think are amatuers. The teaser I have waiting to be released will hopefully remove those "doubts" they have. 2. If I get the people who actually get the animation running, then there will be little risk of complaining voice actors who feel the project is a fail because it's taking too long to produce the animation. If I have enough animators to do the job, then the voice actors will most likely feel it's not a fail and won't quit. I pretty much have everything except the animatics, most of the voice actors, and of course animation, which I'll need help on. It's not. It's been going on for quite some time now. I can most likely see how the others, who've read my story, might be fearing that it might not work because I pretty much haven't produced anything related to the animation for a while. Just so you know, and it may be hard to believe, I'm very dedicated to this project and I'm willing to do whatever it takes, as long as it's not too extreme, to get this up and running. You don't know how bad I want this to be successful. Do you have a skype? Right. Who's voices do you think you'd be able act for? I know a lot of guys are even willing to do the girls, but honestly, I much perfer for girls to stay with girls and guys to stay with guys. There's not going to be many guys in my version as well, but I mean there are some more guys I'm adding as OCs who have to deal with the story, but if guys want to voice act, they'll pretty much have to do those that only appear for an episode or so, or those who are background ponies. Hmm, I think you can. I'll add you on skype and we'll talk. I honestly don't know who those people are. Hm... It'd be better if anyone who wants to audition for a voice to send me a video or audio track of the voices. To be more organized, I was hoping in deciding the voices after the teaser is out. Like stated above, there may not be a lot of voices to do so for guys. There are still those OCs I added in, but the ones who are guys don't appear until a long time... Anyway, for those who still have more questions to ask or want more information, please do not hesitate to ask.
  20. I'm glad I found a way to complete the game without paying for that crap. Unfortunately, in a way, it kind of ruined the game for me as well.
  21. Hello everyone, I've just been recently looking for several people to help me out with this project. Getting to the point, this project is the process of transforming a story of mine into an animation, or a series. The story is based on the original series, but involves the life of a rather unfortunate pony who has been through not so lucky events. Basically, this project involves the original series mixed in with relatable issues in reality. And it also focuses how the OC may change the choices or outcomes based on the original series. If you'd like to know more about the story, then please don't hestiate to ask or send me a message. Getting on the team, of course, I would like more animators or puppet riggers to answer the call, as well as those that can make backgrounds, and be able to contribute to the team in any other way. I am mostly focused on getting the group of people required to make the animation right now, but I could also use a group of people who can voice act, especially for promotional use right now. Please, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. If you believe you could really enjoy this project, or are interested in it, reply to this or send me a message.
