Things That Happened In The Show That You Disliked
rftinker replied to Feather Gem's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
In the Wonderbolt Academy I wasn't al all happy with the ending. Sure Lighting Dust was the antagonist and we all knew in the back of our heads Rainbow Dash would prevail in the end (what a great Dashie moment). But, It appeared to me that Spitfire kicked Lighting Dust out of the academy which I found it to be more than a bit harsh. I would have liked to see Dashie become the lead pony and have the errors of Lighting's ways pointed out. Then have Lighting “learn her lesson” in a more constrictive and positive way. I think they could have gotten two messages out by doing that. Additionally, I wasn't all that happy with how they portrayed Spitfire. I realize they were aiming for that drill instructor character but it just seemed off compared to her in the Best Night Ever. Well that's my two bits worth. -
That is just too cool. I wonder if that will help them decide to do a season 4. Well that is all I really had to say but I need to work my way to 100 characters. Sort of makes me think back to my school days when the professors would require a minimum word count. Oh my, 238 does that mean I get extra credit?

Name: RF Tinker Type: Pegasus Gender: Male Appearance: Grey coat with blue and white mane and tail and teal eyes that are crossed like Derpy Cutie Mark: A radio antenna tower with four coloured lighting bolts emitting from it and a schematic symbol for a crystal oscillator. Hobbies: Radios are his passion. Also likes all sorts of gadgets and technology (wheels should be trusted) Additional Details: Tends to be a bit shy and quiet at first but will open up and be a true friend. Others think it is a bit “slow” because of his eyes, however, it is very intelligent.

Do you think it would be better if we were all ponies?

I don't have a favourite pony. Just like my friends, everyone brings their own special something to the table. Locked in a room with any of them makes me wonder. The original question is from your point of view. What would the pony think? What I mean is if I was locked in a room with Octavia, what would be going through Octavia's mind? I guess what I would to is well be friendly, work at putting them at ease (going along with this theory, we can assume they don't know us). Then come up with a plan of escape.

I've run into the same issue. I was lucky enough to score a Derpy. Part of me wants to take her out of the box and have her sit on my desk. The other part of me realizes she is a bit rare and I want to keep her in “mint” condition. For now I'm keeping her in the box because once she has been removed it would be hard to put her back in. One option might be to buy another set, depending on cost, and keep that set as mint and set up the the other for display. Well that's my two bits worth.

Finals will do that to you, I think you're fine. Even the best students can be distracted away from what needs to be done. What I'm wondering is if you had another hobby or interest other than ponies would you have spent your time on that? I bet you might have. Use the ponies as a “mental break” from studying. Just set a timer next time.

A while back I had a chance to ride on the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway which is a small narrow gauge railway. As I was riding along I remembered seeing a video that presented a good argument for ponies to be around 3 or 4 feet tall. Then it dawned on me, I was riding on a pony sized train. I went and looked at the The Last Roundup (S2, E14) which had a good perspective of the train, to confirm my thoughts about the size of the ponies compared to the train . I find that now I walk around and try and spot things in my everyday life that are pony sized. Has anyone else thought about pony sized things?

I have a couple of questions and I'm sure someone here knows. First, I have invited a bunch of you from the list and several have become my friend. I'd love to pass on some hearts but it only shows one of you on my friend list, everyone is still in invited status. Only enough I friended someone I know and I show up on his device but he is still invited on mine. I'm sure I'm missing something, what is it? Second, I have noticed that after I finish one of the sub games the thing that shows how you did towards earing a star starts spinning. It looks like if I do something I might achieve a higher score. What is up with that? -

This is interesting, I can see why some people want to keep it a secret. There are people in my life that just don't need to know I'm a brony and there are others that I'm OK with them knowing. I'm not one to “bring up” the brony topic, however, if someone else does I'll join in. I have a small Luna button on my hat (that reminds me I could use a few more buttons). If someone sees it and says ”why do you have a horse on your hat?” I come up with an excuse like I got it at a party or some such. If someone says “hey that is a cool Luna button” Then I'll freely talk to them about all things pony. Awhile back I was invited to go to Hawaii with my parents (as a side note, I'm old. My parents are retired). I decided to take my three small stuffed pony toys with me and do a “traveling gnome” gag, I got some great pictures. Needless to say, my parents and their friends saw the ponies. I explained the gag to them and by the end of the trip my parents were making sure I had pictures of the ponies at various locations, even to the point of pointing out “good” spots. I'm sure no one ever figured out I was a fan of a cartoon show and if anyone did they didn't mention it to me.
