    Well today marks a year in the fandom. and i got to say its been great
     
    this is the first fandom ive ever been a part of and i have a lot to thank this fandom for. without this fandom, i wouldnt be as open about my nerdiness. and I would have never found my love of electronic music.

    Hi anyone who decided to read this, I decided to make a blog update instead of making a brand new post.
     
    So I friend and I were on YouTube a while ago and he rudely said "why do you even bother making music? Your not even that big." This really upset me, but it got me to thinking. Why do I bother? I mean last time I just have up... What makes this time different. I think that this time instead of doing it to get big, I'm doing it for more of the enjoyment of making music, and also the fact that the community of small scale unknown artists (or "Smalls" as I like to call them, me included in that mix) still can make some pretty badass songs, Likeaybe tomorrow by Aseu, which you should go check out. Anyways that is why I'm making music still, I would be as happy as a fan base of 20 as I would be with a fan base of 20000, because no matter what, someone is enjoying the music I made.
     
    On other topics I'm changing my DJ name. I feel XCbrony isn't that great of a name. My only ideas I've had is Runn3r, R3N, P3nguin, or F3rret.... But I feel like those are lacking
     
    So my last thing is this: could you guys help me with DJ names?

    Hey Firiends and fans of my channel on youtube.
     
    I have some good news and some bad news (in a sense)
     
    so if you haven't noticed, I've been rather inactive on my YouTube channel with Lets Plays, this is because my computer lost all of the games i was playing. I tried to get them back, but i decided my computer just isn't a gaming computer and it would be worthless to try. Also the fact was at the end, i wasn't really into the games. i felt like i was putting out videos just so i could. So here is what is happening.
     
    1. My YouTube channel is going to go through a mega change.
    2. I will no longer be doing Lets Play's
     
    Now that doesn't mean i am done making videos for YouTube, I'm just turning my attention to somewhere else.
     
    If you have kept up with my videos, you may have noticed i had put up three new videos that were all songs. I've decided to jump off a cliff and start making music. I have to say, I'm learning a lot about FL studio and I am Loving making music.My music may not be Tombstone Quality, but hey! I'm just starting and i think it sounds pretty good, i can only get better
     
    so the TL;DR version: I'm not making anymore Lets Plays, instead I'm making music now.

    Disclaimer- Yes there are some grammar mistakes. This isnt supposed to be an essay for school.. its just my thoughts. so bear with me.
     
    Yes this is another "MY THOUGHTS ON SOMETHING THAT EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING" Thing.
     
    So heres how i do reactions to trailers. i Watch it three times, mainly to let the inital shock set in and actually see it for what it could be. so here we go.
     
    Reaction #1: My exact words "WHY COULDNT THEY CHANGE THE FREAKING COLORS!?! GOD THIS LOOKS DUMB!" as you can tell... i didnt like the colored skin thing... if your going to have them in human form.. than CHANGE THE SKIN COLOR. so after i got over that i watched it again.
     
    Reaction #2: after getting past the skin thing, the plot line looks like it could make at least a little bit of sense... i mean im going through high school and feel like an outcast sometimes (which i get a feel from seeing twilight being pushed around in the crowd)... but other than that it seems like the usual Tween Girl power movie.... and could they please fix the skin!?!
     
     
    Reaction #3: Ok so it looks like they could actually pull this off! i mean i saw a few little nods towards the fandom (Scoota-human was doing some type of Chicken dance!). I guess i can get over the skin thing and give this a shot...
     
     
    So my thoughts are this: Even with the weird skin color and Average Tween movie, it could turn out to be something good. So no, i dont hate it (even though i must say AGAIN that I do not like the skin colors.) and it could be interesting... though i probably wont go watch it in theaters.

    Alright let me just first say this is a rant/ramble. There will be a TL;DR at the end so if you want to read that, please scroll down now.
     
    So this beginning section is mainly about my day. It started as a usual school day until I remembered that I signed up to be an ASB class officer, I was nervous about that until I figured out only 4 people ran, and there are 6 positions to fill. Long story short I actually made it on the ASB! Well the after school I went to talk to my XC coach and asked him about next year, he then went on to tell me that I will be a captain next year. So next season will be awesome! As I went to work, I realized something. People LOOOVE to shop at 10 at night! I Swear I'm 3 minutes from being done and clocking out when there are 7 mega orders. And then I get home and notice my computer and PS3 controller are gone, so I guess I am grounded, but I don't know why. I'll figure that out in the morning though.
     
    Now onto random thoughts.
     
    First thing: I think some people take the "love and tolorate" idea, as a "don't argue amything and love everything even if you think it's awful" I mean I'm all up for loving and tolorating, but I have a right to have an opinion, even if it means I don't like something.
     
    Second thing: I've decided that I want to make reaction videos after how much fun me and my friend had making the last one I did. So if you follow me on YouTube, be prepared for that.
     
    Third thing: I really want to get back into singing. The I only problem is I am very self consious about my singing voice because of my brothers laughing at my singing when I was young. I love singing but I am afraid of what others will think of my voice.
     
     
     
    So the TL;DR version: I am a XC team captain, ASB officer, I got grounded, I think people are weird for shopping in the middle of the night, I think love and tolorate is misused, I'm going to do reaction videos, and I want to start singing again.

    Well I was wrong, I thought the episode today was going to be the weird Al one.... oh well, I'm never disappointed to see everyone favorite master of chaos!
     
    What worked
     
    Discord: Discord is just.... awesome in every episode! even in his week one (keep calm and flutter on) he is amazing! this episode is not an exception. Discord was still hilarious and mischievous, yet still felt like he waste really being the bad guy! Only an actor like John De Lancie Could Pull it off. And I can't forget to mention the fact that he sang!
     
    Twilight actually acts like an Alcorn: HOLY SMOKES TWILIGHT HAS WINGS!!!!!! I almost forgot she did because she NEVER USES THEM! It was a breath of fresh air to see that twilight actually uses her wings.
     
    The mane six's short amount of screen time: one of the major complaints about this season has been that the mane six has been in a lot of episodes together when they don't need to be together in. It was nice to see that we don't need them in every single episode.
     
    What didn't work
     
    Pinkie: Ughhhhh pinkie..... why do you have to be so random at times. Especially when you were just so awesome in Pinkie apple pie. Pinkie was just.... really.... REALLY annoying in this episode for the time she was on. It was really just too much pinkie for me.
     
     
    This episode was really solid and I'm looking forward to next weeks episode!

    To start off, i have to say this was so far my highlight of the season! it was really hard to come up with things that didnt work without nit-picking. i dont have alot of opening things to say about this episode Sooooooooo lets move on!
     
    Things that worked
    The song:
    I was born listening to country, so that might be why this song and raise this barn (even though it was very repetitive) are my favorite songs. Ashleigh ball and Michelle Creber both have some beautiful voices, and that doesnt change when they add a southern drawl in it. i mean, honestly, i thought Applejack's voice was a mix between Faith Hill and Shania Twain! and then you moved on to pinkie, and she can sing too!!!!! i mean she sounded like she was trying a little bit too hard with the country sound at some points, but it still worked good!
     
    The characters:
    Now some people ive heard talk about this episode really didnt like the fact it was two earth ponies that were possibly related, but putting two earth ponies in the apple family actually makes a lot of sense. Think back to every time we have seen apple family members, almost all, if not all, earth ponies. it just makes a lot of sense to put these two together. Also, it was really nice to see a pinkie and AJ episode. i honestly dont think they have been in an episode where it is just them together. Its really nice to see the writers trying new character interactions.
     
    Pinkie wasnt over the top crazy:
    One of my pet peeves with pinkie is that she is annoying some of the time, and in this episode she had a brain! she actually was a really good character in this episode. sure the plot revolved mainly around AJ and the apples, but pinkie didnt do anything too crazy to ruin the episode for me.
     
    THE REFERENCES!!!!!
    OH MY DEAR SWEET CELESTIA! there were some great references, Pinkie doing the soulja boy, duck face, Dusty cat (which is a stretch) were all great there was another, but thats going on my other list.
     
    Things that didnt work (mainly nit-picks)
    Slendermane reference:
    Now im going to take a lot of empty vodka bottles for this, but hear me out! Why this didnt work for me is simple, Slendermans storyline. if you have any clue on the slenderman story (whether it be from slender, Tribestwelve, Marblehornets, Or everymanhybrid) you know that when slenderman stalks you, it means almost certain death in the future. now im looking SUPER (and i mean SUUUUPPPPEEEERR) deep into this, but does that mean one of the apples or pinkie are being stalked by slendy? does that mean that we will never see golden delicious ever again?
     
    Animations:
    There were just a few awkward animation moments in the episode, like pinkie bouncing in the cart. some of them just really felt lazy. Then again, there is a reason im not an animator.
     
     
    So overall it was a very good episode, it will rank number three on my favorites list, right behind lesson zero and best night ever.

    Alright well it appears i am actually not grounded! my mom had just took my PC to get me to go straight to bed. hmmm i guess i am actually on my computer a lot...... But enough of that, lets move on!
     
    So with my day today i woke up and remembered that last night i had bought nutella! i was sooooo excited to finally get to eat some nutella again, so i ran upstairs and made some toast. but thats boring stuff. in my econ class we are currently doing an Econ summit thing where we have to be countries and learn how the world markets work. Me and one of my friends were talking about it and we decided this: what if we declared war on other countries? now befor i continue this let me warn you i am pretty immature and i know war shouldnt be joked around with too much, but i thought this was pretty funny. i Could see it now, everyone is in the summit and groups start sabotaging other peoples projects. Kids are running around throwing pencils and paper at each other. and at the end of the day, the teachers would say "well the object of the summit was to improve your countries standard of living.... but instead you all killed the world!". As i went to lunch i was doing my daily routine of listening to dubstep. one of my friends came up and asked me what song i was listening to and i told them.... the thing was, though, that i for some reason told them in a British accent. he started joking that dubstep was turning me british! it was pretty funny. during the last class of the day, me and one of my friends were talking. she was telling me about how i almost hit her car. i laughed and said, "Next time, im going to Floor it towards the back of your car, Slam on the breaks, and blare my horn!!!" she proceded to tell me about how i would owe her money because i would hit the back of her car and automatically be at fault, so then i came up with the idea to go around front and do the same thing. so if i hit the car i could defend myself in court. heres how it would go.
     
    Me: well she WAS double parked.
    Judge: SIr, you had to go through bushes to be able to hit the front of her car!
     
     
    Random thoughts of the day.
    1:How come people say Brostep is shit? i mean i love both Dub and Brostep equally (sure i didnt know brostep was a seperate mix, but still) Music is Music!
     
    2: speaking of music, why do people say Electronic (i mean all electronic, from techno to Dubstep) is just noises, Literally speaking all music is just noise. I mean music is supposed to make you want to move and makes you feel something, if electronic does that isnt it music?
     
     
     
    Another side note, i need some ideas for Videos to do my Lets Watch series with.
     
    TLDR version; For some reason i had a british accent today and we decided it would be interesting if someone started a war at the Econ World summit in my class.
     
    Well thats all my thoughts on this beautiful day, im going to get off my high horse and go drink a pepsi, see ya guys!
