Lugia, those are pretty cool! Just finished another one, kind of used the design for the last one just added i some stars, and the milky way galaxy as a background effect. Spent quite a while on this one compared to the last. Sorry, I don't know how to do some of those cool effects like many of the other photoshop users do except using other images and editing them to look like effects. Maybe I should find some tutorials sometime and try them out. 1600x900 is the standard size for my widescreen monitor, so its just the size I make most of my wallpapers.

Assuming you are using 1600x900 here is a quick one. I can throw together another one if its not quite something you were thinking of.

Hmm, what do you mean by "dark theme"? Just a picture that is black or dark colors? Or do you want it to be of a "dark" subject? If its the first one maybe a black picture with the moon would work as a background? I'm not very good with drawing things myself, so it would be a simple photo edit. Kind of like the ones in my deviant art page in my signature.

Hi everyone Just wondering if anyone is interested in looking over or proof reading my fanfiction and telling me if anything needs changed. It's also on the other sites in my signature incase someone doesn't want to use fimfiction. http://www.fimfiction.net/story/84826/the-light-and-dark-of-insanity On fanfiction.net I have over 170 views, but 160+ of them are only on chapter one and no one is reading the rest of the chapters. So is the first chapter a turn off considering the rest of the story? First time writing anything outside of the essays at school, figured I would give it a go and see what happened. Have four favorites and a follower on fimfiction so far so i guess it must not suck completely Some worries/issues I am wondering about: -Imagery, do I need to add more into it? I would like to get someone else's opinion on it before I go an rewrite the whole thing (well, add to it) -I saw in the "A Friendly Proof Reader" thread that you can use dashes (-) for actions occuring during dialogue. I have always been told to use commas like in the following: "blah blah," Character stands up, "blah." In all of my honors english classes we have been told to do that, but the dashes look a bit easier to understand. If it seems like a good idea I can edit all the actions to use dashes instead of commas. -Like mentioned above, chapter one... Is it a turn off? Does it need to be scrapped and rewritten at all to match the rest of the story? -I am probably going to redo the description, it was the first thing I did and it was rather hastely put together. Along with the title, I may rename the fanfic. "The Light and Dark of Insanity" seems a bit long to me, after throwing some shorter things into fimfiction's search bar I was maybe thinking: --The Castle's Shadow --Past of Insanity --The Electric Castle --Equestria's Shadow Along with those there may be a few grammer mistakes, I tried to find them all but grammer is not my strong suit at times I need to make or get someone to make a cover art picture for it also...

Hi everyone Just a few quick questions about fanfiction cover art. Which do you all prefer: Digital or Hand drawn cover art for fanfictions? I am trying to dicide what to do for a couple things, I am not completely trusting my drawing capability. Then also which do you all think is nicer, scenery in the cover art, characters, scenery with characters, no characters, or what? Probably over complicating this

Just got done finishing up the wordpress blog. http://fanfictions.thetillandsiaforums.com/ I think I enjoy managing and creating sites using raw code in text editors than using wordpress... but I like the usability and how easily I can have people comment. For now it is a subdomain on my other website, if it (meaning the blog or the fanfictions) do well I may make a separate domain name for them.

Fixed it in all the chapters. As soon as fimfiction comes back online I will update the chapters on there. Currently working on chapter six, which contains history on one of the main characters and the antagonist Chapter six is up, I spent more time on this chapter than the last two proof reading and adding in a bit more as it had a bit more impact. Got another thumbs up on fimfiction and a favorite I guess that means the story can't be too bad

Alright, I have my fanfic on fimfiction, fanfiction.net and deviantart. I am thinking about the blog thing, don't know if it would be worth it or not yet, could be if the story became more well known or something.

I think I will try posting on deviant art and trying that out, I never thought about putting stories on deviantart until i read a couple on there. I could easily make a blog on my website, the tillandsia forums and have it be separate from the main site.

Just got done writting the fourth and fifth chapter Also added a bit to the other three chapters. Added a bit of imagery (just a little bit) and a little bit a dialogue in the first chapter. Added some new dialogue and a new scene in the second chapter.
