  1. I'm of the mind that Twilicorn is a neutral development. I'm not quite sure what's going to change, and if that will be good or bad. However, I'll admit that the basic idea really appeals to me. Twilight Sparkle is the only character I've found in any media that I can truly relate with, mostly because of the whole 'smart but socially awkward' thing. Seeing her grow and overcome her weaknesses was a delight and gave me hope that I could do the same. But now? She's finally being recognized for her talents and contributions after a long journey! This is a concept I can easily get attached to. The series continuing is something I can't really opine upon. Being too blinded by the 'you can do it!' message seemingly aimed directly at me, I couldn't possibly be objective about this. I hope that there's more detail concerning alicorn mythos and what a princess of friendship would do on a daily basis. Maybe the show will shift from slice of life comedy in a small town full of ponies to sitcom-like workplace antics alongside gods. "Fetch me some coffee, would you?" "That's your third cup this morning! Can't you levitate some over yourself?" "THE PRINCESS OF THE DAY DEMANDS YOUR COOPERATION, LEST YE BE BANISHED FOR ALL ETERNITY!" Now that would be a twist!
  2. Sometimes I feel like I'm this crazy mess of a person. A combination of middle aged maturity, preschooler energy, young adult work ethic, and a teen body. Basically, I'm no more a teen than a model wearing a leather jacket is a cow. When any given teen subscribes to fanciful notions of what teen behaviour qualifies, that's what creates problems. Being a teen at its most basic level is growing as a person and slowly entering adulthood. Aspects such as a rebellious streak and immaturity are certainly common, but aren't always an indicator of adolescence or a general adolescent attitude. Looking at teens that way, I feel less like an outsider and more like an alternate solution to the growing up puzzle. A solution that, unfortunately, not many of my peers feel like pursuing.
  3. So I've been hearing a lot about this mystical "pen tool" lately, and I finally decided that I should try it for myself. What follows are my first attempts at vectoring anything. A basic but incomplete trace-over I couldn't be bothered to finish. Sorry, Twi. An OC I've been sketching for a while now. I made this by scanning in a drawing on paper and roughly tracing the image. I'm currently trying to develop a style of sorts, something cartoony and simple. Still having trouble creating those points at the end of the lines. I have a few more projects in mind that will hopefully go along faster than the 3-4 hours it took to create the last vector.
  4. (\ Thanks! Nice to know that there are others who can get my awkwardness.
  5. Hey-o! The name's Warkipax. Don't bother asking why, I've long forgotten the answer. I join forums sometimes because I'm a socially awkward teen with an Asperger's diagnosis to back it up. Hobbies of mine include playing video games of all sorts, drawing, writing, and complaining about how I'm not living up to my high standards in all of the above. As for the role that MLP plays in my life, it's pretty average. I watch the episodes, keep up with some news, and I'm starting to delve into more fan-made content. My collection of merchandise is a small set of figurines. As for when I discovered the show, I'd put that sometime between the airing of seasons 1 and 2. Not sure exactly how I first discovered MLP and by extension the existence of bronies and their community. However, I'm certainly glad I did. If I ever do start making pony-related things, It'll probably be some form of drawing at first. I am growing more interested in music and animation, so if I ever become skilled in those areas, I'll celebrate with ponies. To finish off, I'm not sure how active I'll be, but hopefully I'll be getting more involved in the general community. Oh, and Twilight Sparkle is best pony. Did I mention I love smart magical purple things?
