Spike just needs a bit more backbone. He is already the most prominant leading male character of the show and heck, he's not even a pony character. The top leading stallion has to be Big Mac and I don't even see him in half of the episodes. If the writers allowed him to show more of an adventurous jack-of-all-trades to him, the audience will like him a lot more. Besides...he has hands. Think of all the cool stuff he could make. -
I imagine there's a much larger concentration of older brones in closer proximity to all of us. What I'd like to find out is if there's a bigger makeup of the older crowd that isn't getting noticed because: 1) They're more likely to hide that fact and/or don't interact nearly as much with the community 2) Spend more time with family or full time job that they don't have the ability to involve themselves I honestly think the age and gender stats are skewed, but I can't prove otherwise. Being the whole theme of the show rides on "Frendship is Magic", I wouldn't rule out Trollestia somehow throwing some sort of eternal duty at her and Twi has to choose between her newfound power or stay the loyal friend she always was. If that's the case, then twi has the power of a thousand suns for an episode and it goes with the mention of staying with friends. That I can live with.- 1,224 replies

Sometimes after lecture at the college I go to the bar. Not the best place to study, trust me. At home its laundry, cleanup, throw away the previous days pizza, watch the news and gripe, eat, try to remember the day, panic, remember the paper due tomorrow, pump it out on MS Word, do spellcheck...twice, print, curse at dried up printer cartridge, lick cartridge a page at a time just to get it to work, spit black ink in sink, pass out at 2 am. Sounds about normal.

Over 30, can relate. Dang kids. They have no idea what it was like to watch transformers as a kid when it FIRST came out in '84. Those were the days...

If you think you have it bad, I fall in less then 5% of the demograph. Over 30, full time job, builds audio systems, fixes cars and manufactures ammo. Somewhat of a jack of all trades for the most part. If it needs blasting, bumping or boosting, I can help. I'd rather be caught watching porn then leaving a window open of either this forum, EQD, FIMFic.net or an episode left up on youtube. I hide my tracks well. Always keep multiple windows open to divert, erase all history every session, and never tell a soul.

This was the case with season one and two, but really fell off in season three. I think the time alotted is too short for the entire script to fit so background characters get cut. A shame really.

I suppose you could go off of the characters listed in the header and what is described, but that could be a bit time consuming...

I'm sure those numbers will change quite a bit with FIMFic as a base instead of Deviant Art. Now combining the two would be even better to give an idea what the community leans towards.

Of course spike is underrated. Never really has a chance to shine as a sidekick. Gotta go with Angel too. As for overrated, the mane six. YES, all six. We need more BG character episodes like a day with Lyra or better yet AppleMac.
