  1. Finishing more inventory for Brony-Fest this coming weekend. If you're going to be in the Dallas/Fort Worth/Lewisville area, stop by!

  2. This is my latest creation. I present to you Discord colored accessories! Long arm warmers, slouchy beanie, six foot scarf, necklaces, and earrings all done in the colors inspired by one of my favorite characters from My Little Pony. They look a little Whovian which makes them twenty percent cooler. All of these can be found in the Friendship Is Magic section of my Etsy shop
  3. Heading to MomoCon in a few hours! So excited to show off my Scootaloo costume!

      Scootaloo! Scoot Scootalooooo!

  4. Thanks! The vest took the longest... the lining had to be hand sewn. I made the ears, wings, and tail from scratch. I make lots of tails on Etsy but this was the first Scootaloo one. I originially wanted it brighter but I decided to have it match my hair. I hope not either! I doubt anyone will though since there's so much love for Scootaloo.
  5. Here it is! The finished version of my Scootaloo costume! Everything matches! My hair is the same color as my tail. My entire outfit is in oranges and fushias, even my necklace and shoes! I feel really proud with how it turned out! I'm going to be wearing it at MomoCon this weekend and Brony-Fest at the end of the month. I will also wear it to BronyCon and many many more!
  6. It took a lot of practice to get where I'm at today. Since pumpkins are only available in October, it makes it somewhat difficult to practice too. Now it's mostly time consuming. People think I am slightly crazy for using a nail file and screwdriver but I find they are small and easier to manage, which allows more precise lines. I definitely plan on carving a Derpy one this year as well as one with the mane six. I usually plan up my designs in September so I can spend all of October carving. I would love to try marble or some other medium but yeah... expensive. I'm probably going to do some designs on some fake pumpkins this year so I can keep them around.
  7. Atheist. I have been for over ten years. I was born Catholic and questioned it ever since the beginning, my parents hated that. Then I became Pagan in 1997, Agnostic 1998, and finally Atheist in 2000. I'm not going to go into full detail about what finally made me Atheist other than I was actually dead until a firefighter brought me back to life. Science saved my life. Once you have that kind of experience, you quickly realize that there is nothing afterwards and to live your life as happily as you can right now.
  8. I know it's no longer Halloween or Nightmare Night but I wasn't on here around that time. These are two of the thirteen pumpkins I carved in 2012. All of the pumpkins I have carved throughout the years can be viewed on my deviantART. I decided to start 2012's pumpkin carving extravaganza with Nightmare Moon... I thought it was perfect to start with something for Nightmare Night! Took 5 hours to carve, my only tools were a nail file and flat head screwdriver, it cost me a blister or two. The second MLP pumpkin I carved was a funny idea I had... Rainbow Dash is so cool and fearless but if she were to crash into something, what would it be? The Tardis! It pops out of nowhere! So I did Rainbow Dash crashing into the Tardis with Doctor Whooves (or Time Turner) walking out. The POLICE BOX PUBLIC CALL text at the top was painstakingly time consuming. I also did my best to make Rainbow Dash's mane and tail to have different layers/shades to look like a "rainbow." It's hard to see on here but you can really tell in person. This one took roughly 3ish hours to carve. The downside to using pumpkins as a medium is that they only last so long and I only get to carve them once a year.
  9. I would love to go to the BronyCon but it's a little out of reach at the moment, since I live all the way in Louisiana and it would be a 17 hour drive. I am going to try my hardest to go this year but it all depends on time and money. If I ended up being able to, I would definitely make more of my CMC capes. The ones I do plan on attending this year are Brony-Fest in Lewisville TX, Fiesta Equestria in Houston TX, Sweet Apple Con in Nashville TN, and there is talks about DerpyCon South somewhere in Louisiana. There are a few others I'm trying to go to too.
  10. Thanks everyone! Yeah, I will definitely be taking a lot more photos of this scooter, as well as I know a lot of people probably will too. Some of the brony conventions I'm attending this year are small but I know it'll light up some people's eyes. I made sure when I built this to follow every angle that I could of it. With how the handlebars don't attach to the wheels, how thick the board is, how the center of the handlebars looks. I have a thing with paying attention to every detail. The photo doesn't give it justice but I even matched up the colors perfectly, for both the top and bottom/side colors. The only thing I did not do is add the blue lines to show the cracks and such in the wood, mostly because the board already had it's own lines and I liked them slightly better. Here's one of the reference images I used to make it:
  11. I will definitely post it once it's done. I'm working on the last component for it right now, a vest with her wings attached to them. I would love to find someone to cosplay as Applebloom and Sweetie Belle. The CMC trio would definitely win all of the internets. XD I have gotten quite a few requests to make these. The only issue is that I did not make the patch so I would have to work something out with them or with someone to make them for me. I also probably won't do it with the current fabric I used for this... it is very difficult to sew.
  12. I remember seeing these on deviantart! I definitely love your beanies! When you open up your commissions list again, you'll probably see me asking for one.
  13. Getting ready for Nashville Anime Day this Saturday...

      You're a Tennessee Brony too?

No, I live in northern Louisiana. But I'm so close to Memphis and Nashville that I go there for conventions.

      Oh... Okay...

  14. This was another thing I made for my Scootaloo costume. It's the Cutie Mark Crusaders cape! I used a children's superhero cape for the pattern, outlined it on a red and gold fabric, and used a sewing machine to sew them together with a red border. There is velcro sewn into the collar to keep it in place. The CMC patch was purchased from EthePony on DeviantART. Took only about a day to do.
  15. I just watched it last night with my husband and it makes me even more excited for my first brony con in March. It actually made me tear up in a few spots. And I am so happy to see John de Lancie being so active in the MLP community! I had the chance to meet him in November and he noticed my Rainbow Dash shirt hiding under my hoody, told me all about this documentary and told me to look out for it. Definitely loved it.
  16. Thanks everyone for the well wishes! I definitely plan on posting some of my creations on here.
  17. So this is my latest creation. I literally just finished it this morning. This is a life-size version of Scootaloo's scooter. I made it for the Scootaloo costume I've been working on and will be bring this with me to every brony con I attend this year (as well as a few other conventions). I This originally started as a long plank of wood, some pvc pipes, and eva foam. After putting countless amount of hours into it and roughly about 16 days, it now looks like Scootaloo's scooter! I used skateboard trucks for the wheels so this can be riden around. I did take a video of me testing it out, it can be viewed on my YouTube. I have more photos of this build on my Facebook page and a few on my DeviantART.
  18. Hiya everyone! Name's Laura but you can call me Rebel. I have been a fan of the 4th gen MLP ever since June of 2012, so I'm still fairly new. But I grew up watching and collecting all of the 1st gen. I am an artisan crafter, I like to crochet and knit brony accessories. I post them all on my deviantart and some are available in my etsy. I will be attending my first brony conventions this year and will be having a table at many of them, so hopefully I'll get to meet some of you there. I'm currently working on a Scootaloo costume. I recently finished making my own wings and ears as well as the Cutie Mark Crusader cape. I'm really proud of my latest creation which is a life-size version of Scootaloo's scooter. That's about it for now.
