  1. One of my personal favourites of season 1. A really great Rarity episode (and a Spike episode as well now come to think of it). Rarity proves that she is perfectly capable of looking after herself, but the episode also showed great development for Spike after sacrificing his gem to get Rarity back, as well as seeing the unity of the rest of the mane6 in their quest to get Rarity back. While the most threatening villains, the Diamond dogs were fun to watch and worked perfectly for this episode....even if they did sound a bit like Golem....
  2. Seeing as it's Doctor Who's 50th anniversary this year, it would be nice to see Doctor Whooves to get an extended cameo in season 4 at some point :D

  3. Well, as the title says, if there was to be another mysterious hidden element of harmony that appeared, what would it represent? So far we have had Magic, Honesty, Loyalty, Kindness, Laughter, and Generosity (though after looking at Rarity's recent behaviour, I wonder....), each represented by one of the "mane 6" characters. Of course, if there was to be another element of harmony, then who would represent it? Another new pony? An existing one like Trixie? Perhaps even Spike? If there was to be another element, I think it would be something like perhaps the element of "love" (sappy as it sounds I know, but it seems like something that would suit Spike the most, as he seems to be the most open about his affection for people, and being the hopeless romantic is a vital part of his character). Perhaps "concern"?, or "Thought-full-ness"?, "Dependance"?, "Reliability"?.....these are just a few off the top of my head. What other aspects of friendship could be represented as elements of harmony? So feel free to speak out your suggestions. I want to see what you can come up with So, name your idea for a new element, and feel free to include what you think it would look like in bracelet form, and who the wearer would wear

  8. "always regret your speech, never your silence".... Well, that quote is appropriate for the some of the time at least. I too am a very silent type...at first, as once I become comfortable within a group of people I start to become a bit more open, but that rarely ever happens. So for most of the time I just remain silent, wither because I have no interest with what certain people talk about, or I am just simply away with my own thoughts. I don't think all of society looks down upon the silent, but I guess it's because a lot of debates and arguments arise from difference in opinions, and ever since the internet, some people have gotten a bit too loud in expressing their opinions. Every time something new is released or something on the news happens, somewhere on the internet, people are expressing their opinions in some way or another. Perhaps society has goten so used to hearing everyone's opinion as soon as something happens that as soon as they find someone who doesn't, perhaps it frustrates them.....sub-consciously of course. It's just a theory....I'm no psychologist, but I hopeful that not all of society can look down upon us silent types
  9. All too true. While I am not exactly happy at some of the things that have happened such as the derpy incident and the cancellation of fighting is magic, I can at least understand why Hasbro had to do what it did. When parents of the main target demographic start to complain, naturally the company responsible has to do their best to put it right as to not get the show cancelled. With copyright laws and the likes out there, sometimes Hasbro may not have a choice but to cancel and take down certain mlp material. While fighting is magic did look cool, the promotion of fighting in a show about ponies may have easily spread to little girls, and as we know, when the parents start to complain, there is little Hasbro can do. Now I'm not saying that that is defiantly the case why Hasbro has done the things it's done, but these are always possibilites we have to consider. And besides, Hasbro has shown plenty of proof that they care for us what with the background ponies and the certain lines spoken and re-appereances and episode plots we wanted. Sometimes I think people need to learn how to cool down. I have loved MLP and I always will, so thanks Hasbro
  10. am now unsure whether to order the Brony documentary DVD as a hard copy, or wait until it appears on itunes. Will the extra features be worth it?

  11. Oh dear, it seems that I've made a mistake. Ignore what I previously said, my username is actually "Dalekdragon" instead of 'Dragondalek". My bad
  12. My username is "Dragondalek" Feel free to add me, as I could certainly use more hearts, and I'm sure there are plenty of you who want the same
  13. Hmmm....well, it is indeed a shame, that people will leave a fabulous show and fan base for a silly reason like this. I always believe that MLP was able to attract mature audiences, thus why it was so well made, but now after seeing how many people have left for such a silly reason, perhaps I was wrong. This change could be for the better, or perhaps it might not change the show at all, but we can't say until season 4 comes around. I have always loved the show and continue to do so, because I always appreciate how well it's made, how funny it is, how likeable the characters are, and how the show always makes me smile and laugh at least once every episode. Happiness fuel in a nutshell, that's MLP
  14. Thinking of a way to discreetly and subtly order the Brony documentary DVD without my parents knowing, or at least them not knowing what the documentary's about...

You could always have a friend with a means of making online payments order it for you. Some of my school friends buy stuff online through me all the time, and pay me back in cash. I just bring their packages to school when they arrive.

  15. Sparity all the way. It's really the only shipping that I could actually see potentially happening in the show. Plus Spike and Rarity are my two favourite characters from the show I think if there was a 7th element of harmony of love, I reckon Spike would be the one to wear it. He certainly expresses the most amount of love for people than anyone else (at least out in the open more than being subtle about it), and part of his character is being the hopeless romantic after all
  16. Guess is would always have to be "Omastar"..... ....not entirely sure why.....the design of "Omastar" just always looked cool to me. Being somewhat a mix between a hedgehog and a octopus ability wise (two of my most favourite animals), I guess he just appeals to me than any other pokemon. I have many other favourites, but "Omastar" will always be my favourite. I guess the backstory behind "Omastar" is interesting as well seeing as it's a fossil pokemon
  17. and so begins the long wait until the next season....hmm.....perhaps I should give "Littlest Pet shop" a look. If anything it'll be nice filler until MLP returns ...

  18. Hmmmm, this episode really would have benefitted had it been a two-parter. I have always enjoyed every episode of MLP, and yes while I enjoy some episodes more than others, and I will have the occasional nitpick, I still love the show because of how well made and likeable it is, and how it always manages to make me smile and laugh at least once every episode. As such, I've never really had a "problem" with an episode, just the occasional nitpick or some slight lost potential, but the episodes are still enjoyable and brilliant none the less. Here however, for the first time, I actually have a slight problem, and it's the pacing no less. Pacing has never really been something that came across as an issue before, and it was never anything I would nitpick about, but in this episode, I can't help but feel that it was very rushed. The episode is still fun and enjoyable as the rest are, with the same care and attention to detail and jokes as every other episode has. Pinkie Pie had some hilarious moments, the animals about to cook Rainbow Dash was hilarious, as was Spike's silly dancing with the moustache comedy glasses. Consistency was still kept with a spotting of Derpy, an appearance of DJ Pon 3 , and Spike referencing all the other past possible cures for weird happenings that they have all encountered. The episode had a lot of stuff going on, and some big changes made to the show in general. The concept is great and the songs were enjoyable, but the pacing really made the episode lose a lot of potential....potential that will never come back in this circumstance because this kind of change can only happen once....for Twilight anyway. Some really important things happened in this episode, but the audience didn't have long enough to let anything sink in. I love MLP because it can really drag me into this charming world where the emotions really do affect me, and I really do care for the characters. I feel sad when bad things happen to them, and I get teary eyed when good things happen to them, but in this episode, everything went far too quickly for me to develop the same real emotional response I would usually have. The songs were good, but they were about 6 of them, and the whole musical style felt out of place because it was such a contrast to the rest of the show (musical moments were always a privilege to see because we didn't get them every episode), and the moments of dialogue between songs were incredibly short and didn't really pay off for any nice build up or after effect of the songs because as soon as one ended, the next one would start very quickly after before the audience could let the effect of the previous one properly sink in. The songs couldn't sink in well, because we didn't hear much dialogue from the characters afterwards that reflected their feelings after the song. I did like the episode, but I knew I could have enjoyed it more. I wanted more emotional dialogue between Twilight and her friends. Hell, I thought at least Spike would get a chance to say something to Twilacorn, you know, seeing as Spike has been with Twilight through her journey throughout and is essentially her oldest and closest friend whom isn't family. I thought he would get to say something, but he doesn't appear to get a single line of dialogue after they set out to get the 5 back into their rightful states again. I wish we could have had a whole episode to see how the effect of the 5's destinies changing really impacted Twilight. Perhaps she would have doubted herself for good and would doubt everything she had learned. Perhaps then when she learns her final lesson and fix everything would it seem more appropriate for her transformation. It would have been nice if the montage leading up to her transformation was longer as well, seeing as this episode pretty much is celebrating the entirety of Twilights journey. I wish Luna and Cadence would get a bit more to say, or at least anything to say. As far as the future of the show goes, I'm not going to say anything until S4 comes around, because I'm anxious to see what the writers will do, but for now, while the episode was still enjoyable, it could have been incredible had it been spread out a bit more :/
  19. off to Cyprus today. Hopefully the hotel will have internet so that I can watch the season finale while sitting in a sun bed on a balcony in the warm sun :)

  20. Well, I too am a very big loyal sonic fan as well as a brony, and I feel like I can spread my love equally for both franchises, as I love them both for similar and different reasons at the same time. I was unaware there was some sort of hatred or rivalry betwwen the two fanbases. In fact I always thought it was the opposite case, as I often see many stories, music, artwork, animation and OC's having resemblance and intentional references to the sonic franchise, with many of the original artists and writers openly expressing some keen interest in both franchises. While it is very easy to label out community and the sonic community as "bad fanbases" (in fact I don't really blame people for saying that at times, as there are some truly awful people in both fandoms), it's really very easy to say that about any fanbase. All fanbases are going to have immature, rude idiotic people whom can't comprehend the fact that people have a different opinion, it just appears to be unlucky that some of those fans in these two communities happen to fairly loud, and express their view in the wrong places at the wrong times that give the impression that the entire fanbase is full of these loud-mouthed idiots, when in actual fact that is not the case (both fandoms really only have the same amount of loud-mouthed idiots as any other fandom does) (it all depends on how and where you look). But in any case, I couldn't care less for how some truly awful people act in some fandoms, because I know that for a fact, I love both MLP and Sonic, and will always do so (and I also know that there are plenty of others whom think the same) "way past (20%) cool(er)"
  21. While I know that every other status today will be this, I feel obligated to join in the festivities nonetheless. Happy Hearts and Hooves day everyone/everypony. While I may not have a special somepony, I will happy regardless knowing that so many of you do :)

  22. Okay, here are a few things I would like to see in season 4: . An episode where the ponies go to the Crystal Empire and see the Equestria games (since that was hinted in the recent epiosde anyway). Oh, and Spike better be invited this time (you know, since he saved the Empire and all). . A development with Spike and Rarity's relationship. They had a really nice thing going with the two of them in season 2, but since around the mid-point of season 3, their relationship has taken a bit of a step backwards, where Spike is still falling head over heels for her, and Rarity doesn't seem to take much notice or care. Truly a shame really, as we don't get that kind of relationship between two characters anywhere else on the show (with the main characters I mean. If Bic mac and Cheerlie are to develop more, that'll probably happen at a slower pace anyway, and it's not like we can get the most varied plot driven episodes between those two unlike Spike and Rarity). . Speaking of Rarity, an episode starring her again would be nice..... . Generally just more family backstory to the few characters whom haven't gotten it yet. . An episode experimenting with Discords duties of performing good. . A returning villain such as Chrysallis or Sombra, or a returning rival such as Gilda. . A new interesting villain with something we've never seen before in the show. . More mythological creatures we haven't seen yet, . Possibly some development in the CMC. I'd hope that at least one of them get's their cutie mark by the end of the season. . Since Twilight will be getting some new wings soon, perhaps Spike should finally earn his???...... Other than that, I'll still love the show regardless of what they do with it, because I'll always have faith in the writers.
  23. While as a whole, the episode was solid with consistant character traits and humour, as well as new information and development for characters, the episode went very quickly for me, and I felt like the "wrong pony" joke was very predictable and overstayed it's welcome. True, it was not supposed to be subtle, it did feel as if the M6's time with the wrong pony could have been cut down a bit to see more things from Cadence and SA (like....oh, I don't know, giving the explanation as to why Spike the saviour of the Empire wasn't invited) <_< But regardless, it was still a fun enjoyable episode like how MLP always is. There was a bit of lost potential, but I think it'll make up for that when we (hopefully) see the Empire again next season to see the actual games take place (and maybe spike will get invited this time
  24. Well, as a fellow Aspie myself, I can very be intrigued as to why you may think this. It is a very interesting idea, and I do see why you may see some of the symptoms within the characters, but whether they do actually have it in the context of the show I doubt very highly. Let's remember that this is a cartoon, where emotions and actions are going to be exaggerated for the sake of humour and clearance. Aspergers has many many many different symptoms, and not every Aspie follows each one, but we are likely to share some of the primary symptoms that defines the syndrome for what it is, so trying to assume whether a fictional character has the syndrome or not is very difficult. Never the less, it is still a very interesting idea that I have to appreciate
  25. Well, to be perfectly honest, they all grew on me from the get go as I was not expecting much from when I first watched the show, and since I started watching, they all grew on me instantly, and have continued to do so to this day. None of them have really decreased their appeal on me, but I guess I would say that at a point my appeal for the CMC had decreased slightly, but that's only really when they are just looking for their cutie marks by trying every activity possible. It was a fun idea at first, but then it soon got slightly repetitive, so I certainly find the CMC more interesting and fun characters when they are not doing something that concerns just trying a brand new talent out just to get their cutie marks. Other than that, I have and always will love all the characters. They all instantly appealed to me at first, and they continue to do so
