  1. Okay I heard this had some art and I'm not as good an artist as Jonkeon, but I did an Espeon: And a Newtwo/Mewthree: on Colors! 3D. Yay? Also I see nothing wrong with Newtwo because it's not a change to Mewtwo no matter what. If it's a forme, you'll have the option of either, and if it's entirely separate, then hey, it's entirely separate. It is in no way replacing Mewtwo. You'll still have your perfect Mewtwo either way, Glaceon. Also the 3D model in the game looks infinitely better than the one on the poster, how did they even make it look that weird in the printouts when it's the same thing in the game, I mean really
  2. My kind of bread right here. Jake da bess because those powers man. Also I think he creates the most humorous situations. Very close second is Ice King/Simon Petrikov because backstory. He's extremely developed as a sympathetic villain and as a character, and he pushes the limits of the post-apocalyptic setting to the max. Favorite episode cannot be a single episode. The Lich/Finn the Human/Jake the Dog was fantastic (along with the related Enchiridion/His Hero/Mortal Folly/Mortal Recoil/In His Footsteps to provide relevant backstory) , as was Holly Jolly Secrets Part 2/I Remember You/Simon and Marcy (with Evicted! and maybe others for relevant backstory). Regarding episodes that can be taken individually, Rainy Day Daydream was the first I watched and pretty good at that. You could say it had me at "knifestorm." I like it because, on the surface, it's lighthearted and goofy and very casual. When you dig deeper, however, you realize the depth it has with multiple story arcs simultaneously colliding in a well-developed, yet still mysterious, setting. I mean, come on, you can't get any better than a magical post-apocalyptic pseudo-wasteland where technology and magic are almost indistinguishable. The setting would be great on its own, but the addition of centuries-old characters like Ice King, Marceline, and the Lich, it's that much better. Slight off-topic resides in the spoiler tags below.
  3. It took a while, but I figured out the BBCode. Thank you based Leafeon, I never even knew that existed.
  4. The transformation is complete, this is my final form. Also no links in the sig due to 5-link-limit. Soz guys
  5. And now I'm best Eeveelution. Two namechanges in a few minutes, oh yes

  7. I have the app, it's fantastic for drawing pretty much anything once you learn how to use it, and there is a large community of people who draw ponies. If you go to www.colorslive.com and search for thelastcommando, you'll get an idea. As an example of something done on the app, here's my most recent painting (it's cool if you're familiar with Fallout: New Vegas): The only real negatives are the limited playback file size (therefore limited amount of undos) and a bunch of the community. I won't get into the nitty gritty unless you want me to, but drama abounds. Still, you shouldn't let that stop you from enjoying the app should you choose to buy it.
  8. I Platinum'd both games and they're both fantastic. They lend themselves to multiple playthroughs with the good/evil thing giving each alignment different unlockable powers and very different endings. If you have save files for the first game, you can use those to get instant karma based on the imported save file and some more power capacity, I think. It's definitely worth it, if you're planning on playing both games, to play the original first. Regarding my personal preference, I can't get enough of Cole's gravelly voice in the original. His voice in 2 took some getting used to. Cutscenes look a lot better in 2, but gameplay looks and feels about the same in both. The vanilla ranged attack sort of downgrades in 2 as an incentive to use the other toys they give you and as an excuse to make it upgrade-able, which is cool I guess. 2 also takes the karma system to an extreme with exclusive (I think?) fire and ice powers for evil and good respectively. 2 also has a sort of LittleBigPlanet-style mission builder where you can play missions that other people made, but I rarely used it. I guess 2 is my favorite if I had to choose, but they're both awesome and you should play them both if you get the chance. Just throwing this out there, but I've heard that inFamous 2 physically cannot be ported to a DVD (therefore a 360-compatible disc) because it is too large. It makes really good use of all that space it takes up on the Blu-Ray.
  9. Dark chocolate is manly, patrician chocolate and is actually the purest kind (I think) regarding percent cocoa or something like that. It is 2deep4most people in this thread. I don't have much experience with white, but from what little I've eaten it's almost the same as milk chocolate. Milk chocolate is some tasty stuff, so yeah. I'm curious as to what exactly "Other" could be...?
  10. The Metal Gear Solid games could be made into movies pretty easily. Find a way to convert everything that isn't a cutscene into a cutscene and boom, movie. Same with Uncharted series, but there's a lot more non-cutscene stuff there. Both the series are basically playable movies anyway. Depending on execution, Brawl's Subspace Emissary would be neat. Again, those cutscenes are so well done that a movie made out of them and things like them would be really cool. Regarding Fallout movies, I'm not sure if the level of choice afforded to the player would translate well into a film. Sandboxy stuff like that is usually best left to be interactive. Same with Bioshock, but that might work better. Also Katawa Shoujo, if sticking to the VN itself, would need to be five movies, all extremely similar through the first chunk, and that's only covering the good endings. But still, depending on how well done the films are, these games could still work really well. Also I haven't posted in a while and I've been here for over a year and I never mentioned that before, so yeah. That's cool.
  11. SWAG.MOV = glorious

  12. I've got no idea if it's been mentioned here already and I don't feel like reading through over 400 posts, but it was basically Red Bull and Lou Gehrig. I can't help but feel that something will go terribly wrong because of the latter comparison. The ep was pretty k I thought, considering I saw somewhere that it's basically part 1 of a 3-part episode and we won't get to see the other parts for a while. I think I heard that from a reputable source? Also it's like they took a standard two-parter, kept all the songs, and cut down on the non-song stuff to fit it into 22 min. Not necessarily a bad thing I guess
  13. S3 finale was Red Bull and Lou Gehrig basically

  14. Cel shading: yes Red Baron: yes Deerceus: yes Starters: currently on the fence about all, awaiting release of evolution designs A lot of "older" Pokemon were shown in the teaser. I pose this question: was it simply to hold off on releasing other new designs, or was it because we're getting a melting pot of generational Pokemon a la DPPt? I've thought of a valid argument for both possibilities (discussed w/ Jonke, actually). Respectively, the arguments I've conceived are that it follows the previously established trend of new Pokemon in the regional Pokedex: odd number gens get almost entirely new Pokemon in theirs, even number gens get a mix. Trends have recently been broken en masse by Pokemon games, however. By this token, perhaps the idea of BW being a parallel of Gen 1 is being furthered, with BW2 being the "2 years later" sequel to BW that GSC were to RBY. Therefore, maybe XY are Gen 3 Part 2: Electric Boogaloo, which means mixed regional Pokedex (among other things, hint hint). Of course, it's all meaningless speculation until we get confirmation one way or the other, which is shaping up to be soon with a mere gestational period until global release. To eliminate any sense of mysteriousness from the "hint hint" thing, I'm implying RSE remakes on the 3DS due to FRLG coming right after RSE. It can imply other things if you want it to.
  15. Wild Audino are always an option. The highest-level ones you have access to can be found in Castelia Garden, which can be entered from the sewers by that staircase near the entrance. Run around until a patch of grass starts shaking (it usually takes about 30 seconds for me), then step in it for a 90% chance of encountering Audino. If you're looking for a Grass-type, Petilil can be found in Castelia Garden as well, and I've heard it's really good. I used Roserade, which can be caught as Roselia in Lostlorn Forest. Burgh's highest level Pokemon is a Lv. 24 Leavanny, but Growlithe should do fine against it even around Lv. 21, especially if it has Intimidate. Good luck!
  16. Both; it's possible, but you'll have to trade between games. I remembered that I caught some Synchronize Pokemon with good natures on White 1, so I traded those over and Synchro'd a Jolly Terrakion, Timid Virizion, and Timid Latias. I didn't have a Naive Synchro Elgyem or Munna, so Cobalion is on hold for now. All that remains unseen in the Unova Pokedex are Cobalion, Shuppet, Tepig, and maybe one more (Blitzle?), so that shiny Haxorus is nearly within reach. My Join Avenue isn't a high enough level to get a Nursery, though, so eggs will have to be hatched the old-fashioned way. Regarding legendaries, I really like how Terrakion can do everything it's good at (Band, Scarf, SD, RP, Sub) with only one Nature and EV spread. No such luck with most of the others, however. I chose CM Virizion over SD because I didn't want Scald burns screwing me over; it's a shame that CM Virizion really wants Hidden Power, though. Instead, I'm thinking CM/Giga Drain/Focus Blast/Reflect could work. Maybe Taunt, too. Cobalion is a bit stranger, since I really want some physical moves and Volt Switch. I also want to preserve its great Defense and capitalize on that base 108 Speed, so Naive max Speed it is, with offensive EVs split somehow. Latias can either go with an offensive Recover & 3 attacks set (arguably done better by Latios) or a fast, bulky CM set. CM/Recover/Dragon Pulse is set in stone, with the last slot being flexible (perhaps Sub, Refresh, Psyshock, Surf, etc.). I'll worry about the others later (perhaps much later, since I got Assassin's Creed III and MGS: Snake Eater 3D on Black Friday).
  17. Dude, Problem Sleuth is amazing. One thing I want to see before I die is EPULCHRITUDE. There's almost no way it will ever happen, but a guy can dream, right? If you like Homestuck, then you need to read Problem Sleuth, no questions asked. I've also read Jailbreak, which had a pretty dissatisfying end, and Bard Quest, which was a clusterfuck to the tenth power. Regardless, they were both okay, and they're short enough that I'd recommend them to any Homestuck fan just because of the references to them in both Problem Sleuth and Homestuck. On the topic of Hussie's non-HS stuff, has anyone else read And It Don't Stop?
  18. I recently finished reading Where Are the Children? by Mary Higgins Clark for Mystery class. At first I didn't think it was so bad, but having finished it, I can say that it was a pretty terrible book. Near the end, characters are introduced who aren't significant in the slightest, just to have a vehicle for introducing evidence. A notable pet peeve of mine is overuse of the ellipsis; I counted, and chapter 21 has 222 ellipses. That is unforgivable, and I'm glad I can wash my hands of this book for good now. Apparently a lot of people really like this book?
  19. I made a Hamsteak thread a while ago (right before Caliborn: Enter), but I ended up talking to myself. I think the book tag discourages people, maybe? But yes, Homestuck is the greetest. I fancy myself as a Mage of Time, so I was gonna get a Hero of Time hoodie from What Pumpkin, but I guess they're out of stock even though they're restocking? I don't think AR is really underrated: he saw Bec's creation, sent John to safety on the rocket board, entered the portal to Earth, co-founded Can Town, blew a few things up, then got beheaded. He didn't really do too much, although I give him credit for what he did in Cascade. I'm more excited to see what else happens with WV's dream sequence, since I'm pretty sure he was meant to put on the ring. This was pretty enlightening about all that: http://lildurandal.tumblr.com/post/32557672455/the-ultimate-reward The whole blog is full of great theories. Basically, even though everyone already loves WV, he's also a really tragic character, which makes his sillier side seem like a way of dealing with his past decisions. I mean, the guy led countless pawns into battle only to have all of them brutally slaughtered in front of him by Jack. He thinks they died because of him, and he still doesn't forgive himself, so his coping mechanism is to be a Cloud Cuckoolander. Deep, man. I know of very few Homestucks at my school or in my city. It's me, Wobbels (rip in peace), and a couple people who at least know what it is. One is actually reading Act 2 right now. I even wear a Peixes pin on my backpack to fish (hehe, fish puns) for comments, but no dice. Maybe the Time hoodie would be more effective. I'd like to thank Veece for admonishing me to read Homestuck back in...February, I think it was? It's been fantastic, and I look forward to seeing what comes of the adventure game in a couple years.
  20. I think you misread the thread name. The only Pokemon Movies I've seen are Mewtwo Strikes Back and Destiny Deoxys, by the way. I've heard that they're generally much better than the anime in every respect; would you say that's the case? I don't really remember much from the ones I've seen. You're likely referring to the change in Surf's double battle mechanics; more specifically, in Gen III it would only hit opposing Pokemon, but from Gen IV on, it acts as an area-of-effect move like Earthquake. @, have you seen Water Pulse's new animation? It's pretty much the best thing ever. I like the general concept of a lot of signature moves, like Dark Void, Doom Desire, Spacial Rend, and Psystrike. Dragon Dance has the best 3D animation ever conceived, as seen when Gyarados uses it in Pokemon Colosseum. It's at 3:33 in the video below:
  21. It's a joke about how everything has these on them: Yesterday, I asked a friend who has the game to count how many of these he saw. He reported today that there were, and I quote, "too many to count." Is that an accurate assessment?
  22. I heard that the entire game is one giant Picatinny rail. Can I get some confirmation? I'll probably get it for Christmas, not because I legitimately think it will be / is a great game, but because it will be entertaining regardless. qft right here
  23. I'd just like to say that the bottom part is kind of incorrect. Simulators do allow anyone to easily make and customize a team, but it takes someone who is "good" to make a decent original team and use it effectively (I would be very disappointed to see people using copypaste teams from the recent suspect ladder). Moreover, skill has little to nothing to do with one's ability to create a good team for cartridge play, as (not counting the likes of Pokesav) that is much more subject to the availability of certain Pokemon. For example, take one person with access to only Pokemon Black, with no event Pokemon or Dream World. This person inherently misses out on version exclusives, most notably Reuniclus, as well as event Pokemon and anything not obtainable ingame. Someone with Pokemon White 2 and access to Dream World/Radar and all events for Gen V, however, can use Victini, Keldeo, Genesect, any and all Hidden Grotto Pokemon (such as Techniloom and Impostor Ditto), any and all Dream World Pokemon (Thick Fat Mamoswine, DrizzleToed, DroughtTales, etc.), the Therian formes (and by extension, Sheer Force Landorus), and even version exclusives like Reuniclus and other Pokemon available in BW2 that aren't available in BW. That isn't even getting into the matter of access to past generations of Pokemon, event and otherwise. That aside, however, I'd like to point out that you guys can use Kyurem-B. Have fun with that. I don't think I'll join, because I'm really busy and stuff. Even if I did, it looks like this wouldn't happen anyway judging from the apparent lack of interest. Maybe this bump will breathe some life into the thread...?
  24. Ok guys, update on my progress: I ended up using that team I posted in my previous post. Got them all to Lv. 64, then proceeded to steamroll the postgame, with all ending up around Lv. 79. Douse and Chill Drives obtained (but more importantly, Douse Drive obtained), and I caught Reshiram in a classy Premier Ball. The first one I got was Rash with, at most, 11 / 30 / 12 / 21 / 31 / 21, which is solid enough for a mixed Sub set, something like Substitute | Dragon Pulse | Blue Flare | Outrage or some variant thereof. I only caught it because of the ludicrously high catch rate, though, so I'm still planning on filling up more of the 'Dex before SRing for other legendaries. My 'Dex progress is coming along nicely, as I've gone through most areas, both pre- and post-E4 accessible, and started evolving some stuff. I'll start the trading process pretty soon, which should ramp up the caught number to something like 175. After all evolution options are exhausted, breeding shall begin. I'm not looking forward to registering things like Swoobat and Budew, things that I can't bypass by catching in the wild. I'd have to go out of my way to ramp up happiness and breed a Roselia/rade holding a Rose Incense, respectively. At least Crobat appears 5% in the shaking grass in the Dreamyard. When all that is done, though, it's stationary legend time. I'll have two spare Master Balls, and the list of legends is as follows: -Kyurem (probably Timid max SAtk max Spe, because both normal and White Kyurem like it) -Heatran (SDef? something else? I already have a Timid one) -Latias (probably Timid max HP max Spe) -Cresselia (I don't even know) -Azelf (Nasty Plot probably) -Mesprit (no idea) -Uxie (something defensive, maybe Screens) -Regirock (there are so many things to do with this) -Regice (Registeel too, if I can access the Iron Key) (Ice: maybe Rock Polish, Steel: what do) -if Steel, Regigigas (oh boy, here we go) -Terrakion (Jolly max Atk max Spe, no doubt) -Virizion (not sure if CM or SD here) -Cobalion (the mixed Ebelt set looks sexy, but I'd have to drop HP Ice) Any advice on which ones I should Master Ball (i.e. hardest to actually catch in-battle)? Additionally, could I have help deciding what to do with some of them? Regirock, especially, could go so many directions: Gravity, SDef w/ Curse in sandstorm, bulky attacker, etc. After all that, I can finally get to cool stuff like Pokestar Studios, Join Avenue, and the PWT with a clear mind. There's just so much to do, and I love it
