  1. Finally managed to get a job :)

  2. https://twitter.com/Fyre_flye Take a good look at her post about "American Girls". Does it not seem as though Faust is indirectly expressing her disapproval of EqG? She made this post immediately following the release of the EqG trailer.
  3. This is completely different though. Even if FiM is made for the sake of making money, it's at least a decent show that has good writing and original material. EqG isn't anywhere near as good as FiM is, and, again, the writers and creators of the show don't even want this to see the light of day. It's saying something when the person who created this series is against this movie. Hasbro has taken away all the writers' power and independence and are dumbing the show down because they think they'll make more money that way.
  4. It was on one isolated thread. It was not intended to harm Mando personally or to be taken offensive. They were just poking fun at him and he took it seriously out of hand like an egomanical, immature manchild, and now people like you think that it's such a terrible thing that a couple people on an anonymous messageboard joked around about him without any intent to damage his reputation or his image. Please cool down and think about how maybe Mando's reaction wasn't justified.
  5. The thing with your first point is that 4chan isn't a forum. It's a message board, and there are dozens of boards with specific topics and themes (e.g. /a/ for anime, /v/ for games, /co/ for comics and cartoons, etc.) that make it easy to find the kind of threads you're looking for. As for the whole "Mandopedo" fiasco, that was said as a complete joke in a single small thread and Mando took it way out of hand and created a giant shitstorm about it, acting like a complete child. It was never intended to be taken seriously, they were just having some shits and giggles and he ended up taking it literally. That's the thing with that board as a whole, they don't actually try to spread rumors and lies, people just end up taking things literally that sholdn't be taken with a grain of salt. Anyway, I go on /mlp/ pretty regularly, as well as a few other boards, and it's not nearly as bad as it's made out to be. Besides, the people that dislike the site and its community are people that probably haven't even bothered to get to know it at all.
  6. The first anime I watched was Spirited Away, when I was 7. Fast forward many years later, I heard about this neat anime called "Death Note" and decided to give it a shot out of curiosity. I loved it and decided to get more into anime, and now I watch them pretty regularly.
  7. You can try and justify the various aspects of this movie however you want, but the fact still remains that this was entirely Hasbro's decision and the writers were forced into making this. Even Lauren Faust herself seems to be vehemently opposed to the movie. I'm not saying that you should automatically be against it, just realize that it wasn't exactly made with the best or most reasonable intentions and woulnd't exist if not for Hasbro's greed.
  8. My favorite background pony is Lyra Heartstrings simply because of the personality that the fandom has given her. Also because she has probably the best fanfic out there, Background Pony.
  9. It's Twallot's new love interest, apparently. Odd how a developed and original character like Twilight can fall for someone who's literally the most generic and shallow-looking character imaginable, but god-forbid I actually criticize this bomb of a movie.
  10. I'm 17 years old. I don't want to give away too much for the sake of anonymity, but I'll be 18 pretty soon. Anyway, gotta fill in these 100 characters somehow....
  11. I always eat my cerial dry. Putting it in milk just makes it really soggy and takes away all the flavor, plus the thought of putting something naturally crunchy and dry like cerial in milk is just gross to me.
  12. Seeing a pony version of the opening to The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya might be kinda cool. Seeing a pony verion of "God Knows" would be pretty neat too. It couldn't hurt to see the Azumanga Daioh op ponified also.
  13. As much as I admire Luna, I honestly wouldn't feel bad if they took her off of the show. If you ask me, Luna is the kind of character whose personality and various traits are up to you to decide for yourself; you can form your own headcanon and imagine Luna however you'd like. That's arguabely the best advantage to having such little screen time. In that respect, I believe that they should not have done anything with her after the pilot episodes and that they are just taking away the ability to form your own interpretation and headcanon by doing so. This is just on opinion though, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion on the matter.
  14. So, anyone see NC's newest episode yet? It seemed like kind of a neat idea that he would try and point out the flaws of a very hyped and nostalgic movie instead of going with the usual really bad movies. The actual material was kind of....meh, though. On an unrelated note, you can't use an adblocker on tgwtg's site anymore and holy hell were those ads intrusive
  15. I'm glad you understand. I completely agree that /mlp/ is probably the most open-minded group as far as the show goes, and is the least hivemindish community. I'm watching Azumanga Daioh right now, by the way. I <3 Osaka-chan.
  16. What's with all the hate for 4chan? Do you people honestly think the site's community is that bad? Have any of you even been there for more than 5 minutes or are you just judging the site based on all the bullcrap about them being "hackers on steroids" and "the asshole of the internet"? You sure are a hypocritical bunch for people that say you promote "love and tolerance".
  17. I was in that thread for a while. Not sure if what he's saying is actually true but if he is, it pretty much confirms that this thing *is* a disaster.
  18. Very few people are actually leave going to the fandom just because of some crappy spin-off show. As harmful to the series' name and reputation as this movie is, it's not enough to make people abandon the fandom entirely. The show will likely still continue on and the characters' lives will go on as if this movie never existed. Besides, people said the same things with alicorn Twilight and nobody left the fandom over that.
  19. Everything about this is just......horrible. Any one of the mane 6 having a love interest is a terrible idea, and the fact that Twilight's love interest is a generic jock type just makes this whole situation much worse than it already was. A "dorky", introverted character like Twilight and a character like this just doesn't work at all. If ANYTHING, Twilight would be best off having another studious, acedemic type as a love interest, and even that should never, ever be done.
  20. In case you haven't noticed, even the actual bronies are showing excitement and enthusiasm for this. As horrible as this is proabably going to be, much of the fandom will still eat this up simply because it's My Little Pony.
  21. I don't get what any of you see in this or how you think this has any potential. It just seems like another generic, shallow high school drama with the MLP:FiM name slapped onto it for the sake of making money off of the fanboys. And sadly, their plan is probably going to work seeing how receptive much of the fandom is to it. Now we can only hope this movie doesn't bleed into the show and isn't part of the canon storyline.
  22. I watch AVGN and NC. AVGN's materieal seems to be going downhill in exchange for higher production value, but I guess there's not much more that can be done with the series after 111 episodes and all the material's been exhausted at this point, and James hinted at this in the most recent episode. The movie doesn't look too promising, either.
  23. The pony that had the toughest childhood would probably be Pinkie Pie. Up until Dash did her sonic rainboom, she lived a dull, empty life doing nothing but moving rocks around in her crappy, amish-esque village. She had no forseeable future beyond her current situation, no concept of fun or enjoyment, and probably had strict, cold parents that didn't make her life much better. Yes, Applejack's parents died, but she formed a very close relationship with the family that she did have. Even if it isn't able to replace her parents, he still managed to make the very best of a bad situation and become closer and more dependable with her family than she may have had her parents not died; she learned the value of staying close to her family though her situation. I'm not sure what to say about Fluttershy. Very little is known about her background so it's difficult to come to any conclusions about the childhood she had, but judging by the fact that she was constantly bullied and had anxiety issues, she must not have had an ideal childhood.
  24. lol, I was just gonna post the Windowlicker music video. Good to see some more Aphex Twin fans here. Anyway, I don't even remember how I came upon this, but here it is. It's an...interesting music video. Here's another one. I guess anything by Chris Cunningham is guaranteed to be pretty weird.
  25. The people sending death threats to Yamino (or anyone else in the fandom for that matter) are far and few, and this kind of thing would happen in any fandom if someone like Yamino came into play. To be fair, the hate for Yamino is well-justified and goes far beyond her just disapproving of Derpy. She is a downright shitty person who only hurts the very people she is claiming to defend, and shoots those people down when they provide legitimate, logical arguments against her. Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Every group of people is going to have its unfavorable bunch, but those people should have minimal, if any influence on your view and preception of the group as a whole. Most people in the fandom aren't problematic at all and the pepole that do things like this aren't even serious about what they say.
