She actually elaborated about Twilight on her DeviantArt page(http://fyre-flye.deviantart.com/). Lauren Faust:"I said in the doc that I planned for Twilight to be Celestia's successor. I did not use the words "alicorn" or "princess"". It weakens the assumption that she wanted Twilight to become a princess after all. Celestia's not only a ruler but also a magical user and a teacher so Twilight could have succeed her in this role. The season 4 could still make her a teacher(it was actually implied in MMC) but with wings and princess status.

@@Commander_PonyShep, The answers you're looking for on her twitter(see above). I always try back up my interpretations with some evidence from the show itself, interviews, twitter, etc. EDIT: You shouldn't be worried about Faust's vision so much anyway. I just hope the current MLP:FIM crew is able to do what want to do without heavy Hasbro's influence. But I don't keep my hopes up.

@@Commander_PonyShep, I don't think she'll answer it. I rather she would confirm that the post is fake but it appears she regrets saying about "irrelevant plans"(she deleted this part shortly). It was just an impulsive emotional reaction to the news of Twilicorn. We know some bits of her vision from the people she worked with. Here is one of them. The guy was working as a security on a convention.

There is no such thing as registration. I or you can go there and post under name "Lauren Faust (really)" but no one will believe you without the tripcode. You can also have a nice conversation with yourself under the M. A. Larson name. People on /mlp/ claim to be Hasbro executive, writers, insiders all the time and no one believes unless they prove their identity or provide some information which turns to be true. Beside this post is obliviously made by an imposter because it contradicts Lauren's earlier statements. Do you really want to believe it so badly that you rather trust a random anon?

Is Equestria Girls Faithful to Faust's Vision of MLP?
MadPointer replied to Tollhouse's topic in Equestria Girls
I think there's a reason why Lauren visited /mlp/ out of all places. Lauren Faust is the only person who is worshiped by /mlp/ like no one else and it appears that she was luring there before. Anon: Why did you choose to come here (4chan)? It's not like we have the best "fame" in the fandom. I'm just curious... Lauren: I've said it before, but I've seen some of the most thoughtful critiques here. I need to dig through some awful stuff to find it, but people are smart here sometimes. I wonder if any of you visit /mlp/. I tend to spend a lot of time on /mlp/ especially after Twilicorn. /mlp/ hates Canterlot Wedding, Season 3, Twilicorn and EqG. It's not just blind hate. There were many constructive and insightful discussions which rarely happen on forums. People on forums tend to be more restrained and care about their reputation so much that they're afraid to voice their arguments which go against the majority of members.- 42 replies

Is Equestria Girls Faithful to Faust's Vision of MLP?

You can use the search function in your browser by pressing Ctrl+F and typing in "Lauren Faust (really) !5l/hHZnoEA". Only the real Lauren can use the !5l/hHZnoEA tripcode. Also there're two threads: http://boards.4chan.org/mlp/res/10913834#p10915041 http://boards.4chan.org/mlp/res/10902082#p10911290 EQD posted only confirmed posts there http://www.equestriadaily.com/2013/05/lauren-faust-answers-bunch-of-questions.html- 42 replies

Is Equestria Girls Faithful to Faust's Vision of MLP?
MadPointer replied to Tollhouse's topic in Equestria Girls
She's reachable on DeviantArt and Twitter. Some people are still asking her about Season 3 and Season 4 as if she's still involved. I'm sure she knows all from bronies the new even though she'd rather not know them. If she didn't want unwanted associations, she would avoid posting it at that time. If you believe that her opinion can only be applied to other brands and MLP:FIM is different, you can try to make a case on why you think it's different and it still holds true to her ideals.- 42 replies

Is Equestria Girls Faithful to Faust's Vision of MLP?
MadPointer replied to Tollhouse's topic in Equestria Girls
I posted it as text. We don't know how tightly Hasbro control the direction of show because Lauren is no longer involved and Tara Strong might not how story approval is challenging for writers at the moment. The timing just seems suspicious. Why would she post it at that time knowing that it would most likely be linked to the EqG trailer(a few hours later). Regardless of whenever these tweets are related to MLP:FIM, they show her opinions and values on the industry which are relevant to this thread.- 42 replies

Is Equestria Girls Faithful to Faust's Vision of MLP?
MadPointer replied to Tollhouse's topic in Equestria Girls
In this case several factors took place which made her quit. These messages are from a guy who was editing the official Bronies documentary. ADDED: Lauren Faust tweeted: "Even "American Girls" was once radically positive for girls before it was homogenized for money. http://bit.ly/18FzobY" Note that the linked article was written in April and Lauren tweeted it on May 13th, the day when the trailer was released.- 42 replies

Is Equestria Girls Faithful to Faust's Vision of MLP?
MadPointer replied to Tollhouse's topic in Equestria Girls
She might have left because she refused to compromise her vision when she was asked to adopt some mandated changes. She couldn't save her vision intact either way. If the current MLP:FIM crew refuses to implement the mandated by Hasbro changes, they could be easily replaced with other people who might not care about the show and who will be willing to do whatever they're asked to do. It was bad enough that we already lost Lauren and we can't afford to lose the current crew.- 42 replies

Is Twilight becoming a princess considered sexist?
MadPointer replied to Commander_PonyShep's topic in Season 3 Discussion

I mentioned it, but back than I didn't know when exactly was that question in that video so I later come back to it to locate this part and transcribe it. I think it was worth it. I listen carefully to lots of podcasts and interviews so I keep myself up to date. Audio/video interview are much more valuable than tweets because writers don't have much time to prepare answers and dodge questions. Also you can read their initial reactions and intonations. There're a lot information to process, analyse and categorize and I don't have enough time to do it and I'm having trouble reading expressions and intonations due to being not social enough. BTW, It's not the first time, I posted this video.

Is Twilight becoming a princess considered sexist?
MadPointer replied to Commander_PonyShep's topic in Season 3 Discussion
Ceremonial duties is exactly what princess do in the show. It involves being a guest of honor in such social events as Summer Sun Celebration, official visit in Swarm of the Century, Fall Weather Friends, Best Young Flyer competition, Grand Galloping Gala and the list goes on. It's all about ceremonion and Twilight wouldn't be interested in such activities besides she doesn't know how to behave properly in high society(see Sweet and Elite). Can you bring some points from the show to back up the claim about leadership? -
Is Twilight becoming a princess considered sexist?
MadPointer replied to Commander_PonyShep's topic in Season 3 Discussion
@@Commander_PonyShep, What her new responsibilities have to do with wings? I don't see how it's related. What're the responsibilities anyway? Can you explain where are getting the idea that princesshood is about leadership? She didn't have to be a formal leader to take the lead in episodes such as Dragonshy and Swarm of the Century. Why does she need to be a princess in order to command her friends around? -

My theory on Starswirl's spell's purpose
MadPointer replied to Blanky's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Skip to 40:45 Asker: I have two questions for M.A. Larson. Asker: In the season 3 finale, what was the original intent of Star Swirl the bearded’ spell? M.A. Larson: What’s the other one? [snip] M.A. Larson: ...As for the first part, I’m gonna take the Fifth and pass it over to my left Meghan McCarthy: Oh, I can’t... FinalDraft: You brought it upon yourself Meghan McCarthy: I know. Meghan McCarthy: Um. That’s a good question. I don’t know if we went into it knowing what he thought that the end result was he was sorta working... what he was working towards... um... but.. yeah...
