Although they say that it's not possible in some posts similar to this topic, there is a way to actually get your gif to play! Go to Google and type Image Editor, and click the third link down. You will be met by the bar that uploads your picture, and at the bottom there are two check boxes. Be sure to check the first one, and select "convert to GIF."
Now upload it and crop/ edit your picture to 150/150. Then save it. Come back here, and upload it as your profile pic.
