Why do people hate Gilda so much?

I don't like Gilda very much, but I agree that there are too many double standards. I mean, some fans say that she was worse than Discord and Chrysalis for cryin out loud! -
I think that the reason why Luna is so popular is because out of the princesses, she stands out the most. Luna is flawed and has many unique traits. Many people can relate to Luna when it comes to trying to fit in (Luna Eclipsed) and feeling unappreciated. While I love Celestia and Cadance, they both have little to no flaws, so fans can't relate to them. -

My favorite pony is Twilight Sparkle, but currently, I've been paying more attention to Rarity because of how underrated she is. I don't understand why fans aren't so fond of her. -
Underrated: Rarity. I always see her score the lowest on "Best Pony" polls. Overrated: Princess Luna. I love her, but she is so overrated and overhyped by the fanbase.

At first, I wasn't so fond of Celestia, but now she's my second favorite princess. My list goes like: 1. Princess Luna 2. Princess Celestia 3. Princess Cadence 4. Princess Twilight (because I haven't seen her as a princess as much, but she's my favorite pony). -

Twilight Sparkle. She was the first pony I latched onto when I started watching the show. Rainbow Dash comes in second because I love her tomboyish ways and I can totally relate to her hatred of losing. -

I think he's a narcissistic douchebag. That's all. Poor Rarity had to go through all that. The worst part was that be felt no remorse for his actions. -
Although you made a point about the flaws of the CMCs, it would be pretty unfair to call them crybabies, considering the bullying they usually go through and they they are younger than the other characters. To me, Sweetie Belle's crying in "One Bad Apple" was pretty understandable, considering the harsh treatment she and her friends went through. -

I think Pinkie and Dash had it the hardest. Pinkie had a hard time doing chores and major property damage could have been caused. Personally, I'm TERRIFIED of animals and it would be really traumatizing to experience animals attempting to cook & eat me. -
I love Dash and I hate how her flaws were exaggerated in some episodes, which may be why so many fans hate Dash's guts. Well, at least she got some character development in season 3.

Impersonating Ed is soo funny..heisays the most random things ever. I don't think the new cartoons are bad, it's just that they are boring, but not bad shows.

I also hated how Eddy acted in the episode. He tried to keep the money for himself, even after he got his jawbreakers. He could have simply paid back Sarah and left unharmed, but nooooo lol.

Thank you for agreeing on Edd. I hate when he does nothing wrong and he gets punished. I remember in one episode, Ed and Eddy were acting up, annoying the kids, and all the kids yell at Edd instead, like WTF? Another reason that all three Eds get punished is because all of them are based on Danny Antonucci himself, so that may be why. As for the Kankers, if the Eds and The Kids could agree on one thing, is that they despise the Kankers. Plus in one episode when not all of the Eds got punished was "Brother, Can You Spare An Ed," when Eddy was being a jerk and Sarah was less annoying in the episode. Eddy alone got punished for what he did. Also in "Here's Mud In Your Ed," when Rolf and Jimmy targeted Eddy.

Well I only said that first line because I see you're a huge Rainbow Dash fan and I didn't want to start any trouble on here. As for Kevin, I agree. There are some times l actually like Kevin when he acts nice, especially to Edd. To me, it's really Eddy that Kevin hated, because in "To Sir With Ed," when Eddy was in his room, he had no problem partying with Ed and Edd. Plus, in "A Case Of Ed," he had no problem teaming up with Edd to get revenge on Ed and Eddy in that episode. I only hated the kids when they punished the wrong ed for one Ed's action. The halloween special was the worst, because they punished Edd and Eddy for what Ed did. I forgot about the Flim-Flam brothers and Samuel Vincent. Thanks for the reminder.

Dude, I have nothing against Rainbow Dash! I actually like her character. I love Kathleen Barr because she is very talented when it comes to voicing males. She also voiced one of my favorite antagonists, Trixie. As far as Rainbow Dash and Eddy, what you said was completely true. Rainbow Dash may be prideful just like Eddy, but she doesn't provoke people into bullying her. Those jocks were straight up jerks with no provocation, I agree, but they did apologize for it. I agree with Kevin, but in the episodes "Smile For The Ed" and "Your Ed Here," he was being a jerk for no reason. I also agree that Kevin and Eddy are both arrogant, both bullies and prideful. I also heard that Samuel Vincent does a voice on MLP too.

FUN FACT: Do you know that Kevin and one of Rainbow Dash's bullies share the same voice actor, Kathleen Barr? To me, Rainbow Dash reminds me of Eddy: they both get bullied by Jerk Jocks and are both prideful.

I loved Edd, Rolf, Jonny, Nazz, and (sometimes) Jimmy & Kankers. Jimmy and The Kankers annoyed me sometimes. I didn't like Kevin and Sarah

Thanks for seeing it, and as for you mentioning how people hate DT, but love Sombra, that's how some fandom's work. It's sad, but true. For example, people also hate Gilda and one fan actually said she was worse than Discord. That, to me, was very stupid because although Gilda is a bully, you don't see her turning Ponyville into chaos. I don't like Diamod Tiara, but she isn't as bad as Sombra, Chrystalis, or any of the villains of the week. She's just an ordinary jerk like Trixie, Gilda, Lightning Dust, and the rest. I also dislike how people try to whitewash Silver Spoon, forgetting the fact that she's just as guilty as DT. To me, I think some fans of the show were bullied themselves and DT is a reminder of it, which is why she may seem to garner more hate than she deserves.

Rainbow Dash is a disliked character, but she isn't the most hated. I love Rainbow Dash, actually.To be honest, I do find her annoying when she does become too full of herself with her accomplishments..it was stated perfectly in the Mare Do Well episode "You can be proud of your accomplishments, but don't be too overconfident."

No offense, but people hate Diamond Tiara because she is a bully, and nobody likes bullies. Me, personally, I hate her because she reminds me of the bullies I had who picked on people for being different. I hate how she treats Apple Bloom and to me, she's just jealous of her. To me, I hate the type of characters who are bullies towards the protagonists. I don't have a problem with Diamond Tiara's fans tho, unless they share the same attitude she has and they constantly bash the CMCS.
