Well, I'm not going to get into a debate about whether vanilla is better than chocolate, because that would be taking internet debate silliness to a whole new level. But I will say this: I LOVE cake!!! Chocolate cake, red velvet cake, carrot cake, strawberry shortcake... ...Actually I just love sugar, really.

movies/tv Is anyone else excited for the movie 'Epic?'
Hazel-Beam replied to Hazel-Beam's topic in Media Discussion
Obviously this thread WILL contain spoilers, so if you are planning on seeing the movie I highly suggest you read no further! I actually saw it in Ireland last week (I was so excited I went to the preview showing and the theater was only me and a few families with kids, haha), but I decided to wait until it was released in the US before starting this thread so more people would have had a chance to see it. It's been a LONG wait. Anyway, it seems like fellow fans of this movie are hard to find, so I started this discussion as a way to attempt to bring more of us together. What did you like/love/dislike about the movie? -

That looks amazing! Exactly what I had in mind. Thank you so much! And yes, if you could resize it, I'd appreciate it. Great work - that was quite fast, too! -

I've learned not to act embarrassed about what I like, because it only creates an invitation for people to tease me about it if they can see that I'm embarrassed. So I've promised myself that whenever someone asks me, "What are you watching?" or "What's that on your shirt?" I'll happily provide them with an explanation, and then they're more likely to respond with, "Oh...okay," and leave me alone if they still think I'm weird after that.

Hazel-Beam replied to Doctor-Whooves's topic in Requestria
Hello, Doctor - I've been meaning to ask you for a signature for a while now, anyway, so this thread caught my eye. Pony: Doctor Whooves Background: Outer space - I was thinking some sort of colorful galaxy. Something like this: http://www.malindalo.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/space-the-sky-the-galaxy-stars-Favim.com-481975.jpg Text: "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament sheweth his handiwork." Psalms 19:1 Other: I'd like it to be about the size of the one I have now, if possible. I'm a fan of EarlGrey's biblical verse signatures, which is why I like the idea of a Doctor Whooves one. Thanks! -
Well, I never thought I'd say this but I guess if I'm honest with myself, it would have to be the USA. I used to hate living there: hated the gun laws, hated that we don't have free health care like "everyone else". So when I had the opportunity to study abroad, I was so excited. I was so sure that Europe would be so much better than the US that I was counting on not coming back home after the semester was over! But...big surprise, I learned that the grass really isn't greener on the other side after all. (Unless you live in Ireland, in which case it literally is, but you know what I mean, haha.) I took the chance to travel all around Europe during my time abroad, and though I loved different things about every place I visited, I slowly began to see that every country has their own problems after all - I had just been too stubborn to believe it. Yes, my home country can be a really messed up place - but so is everywhere else. And I've learned to see the good in it now. I'm looking forward to returning home this week after a semester abroad, and I'll never take my country for granted again. ...Especially not Arby's curly fries. Holy crap, I've missed Arby's curly fries.

I love that I have the strength to stand by my beliefs and principles, even if I'm standing alone. I love that I have learned to find joy in serving others. I love that I am slow to become angry, and I have finally learned to be forgiving of others. I love that I know who I am. I love being me.

I did, actually. I think I'm one of the few people who liked G3. I'd watch the movies with my little cousin when she came over to my house. Back then, pegasus ponies were a BIG DEAL. Around then was also when I started becoming interested in the toys. All I can remember is that I had a blue pony with a starfish on her bum. I think her name was "Sea Spray" or something. But of course, G4 is infinitely better.

I think pastel coloring works best, too. It seems the most appealing to me, as opposed to bright neon colors, although whatever colors people want to use for their OCs is fine. I think there is probably no universal definition of a "good OC"...people create them based on what they like, that's all. *shrug* Though it doesn't hurt to have a good backstory, perhaps, and definitely not to make them have godlike powers or anything like that. A good OC should be somewhat relatable, I think. ...And my OC is an alicorn, but no worries!

You know, the one that's coming out in just a few days? It just seems like it hasn't been getting much attention. I don't know why - it looks gorgeous! -
Being a Bronie/Pegasister makes you 10432352 times more attractive
Hazel-Beam replied to GummyPie's topic in Sugarcube Corner
Yes. Yes yes yes. I don't know if the fact that someone liked ponies would make them more attractive in my eyes, but it would definitely make me want to spend time with them even more. I have yet to see someone wearing a pony shirt on my campus, but when I do, I'm going to find some excuse to start a conversation with them and we can geek out over ponies together. -

Well, I like some of the fan-made music, and I just bought some stuff from WeLoveFine for the first and last time. All I need is a Doctor Whooves shirt to be happy. I plan on making more customs to sell, but other than that, I don't think I'll be buying any more pony related stuff...unless they come out with a decent Derpy plushie. I can't bring myself to justify spending $400 on a fan made one, as high quality as they are. I don't mind if people know I'm a brony, but I try not to obsess over the show too much.

Hasbro sues over planned Dungeons and Dragons movie?
Hazel-Beam replied to Hazel-Beam's topic in Media Discussion
Ah, now I see. Thanks for filling me in! Also, people talking about MLP Magic: The Gathering cards makes a lot more sense now! Very interesting. -
This is the perfect place to meet fellow bronies, rest assured! As for voice acting, I've seen lots of brony animators on YouTube who occasionally ask for volunteers to do voice acting for their projects. Keeping an eye on budding brony animators is a great way to get a head start in gaining voice acting experience - you never know when there will be casting calls! Have fun on the forums!

You have come to the right place! We are all here to talk about our love of ponies. I've also seen lots of great discussions about how to deal with teasing here, as well. We bronies stick together!

You'll definitely make lots of friends while you are here! I have only been here about a month myself, and have met so many amazing people on this site. Have fun on the forums!
