  1. Gauntlet is the term used for the armor piece guarding the wrist and hand. Caestus is the proper term for a weaponized glove. Also sorry if I haven't been posting. Had to change wifi so I won't be on for the next couple of days. I'll post something in main rp to explain why my character isn't meeting up with the rest so quickly.

And I thought my weapon terminology was spot on... Ah well. Thanks for enlightening me with that knowledge. ^_^

  2. While she sat there waiting, Lux was starting to get a weird feeling at the base of her spine. She looked around to spot if anything was out of the ordina...

"Urrrrrrrpppp...." Lux's stomach churned with a rather audible sound. She grabbed her stomach as she began to blush a little from making such a weird sound that other people could hear. Lux looked around for what would look like a place to eat and smiled when she saw a building with a sign that looked like a beer mug. She started to walk towards the tavern and stopped when she noticed Timothy was standing near the entrance. 'Ok. Just play it casual and he won't see me.' She thought to her self as she slowly approached the tavern. Her plan was working fine, she was starting to pass him without notice, until her foot caught a loose brick causing her to stumble forward and fall flat on her face.

  3. Lux had handed over the box over to the scruffy looking man and had taken the bag of coins he gave as a reward. "Eep!" She squealed happily as she got the money and transferred it over to her own coin purse. 'Now that's about 300 gold.' She thought gleefully to herself. 'Maybe I can buy something nice for Nox.' She looked at the scruffy man behind the counter. "Thank you very much." Lux said kindly while she bowed. She then turned and headed out the door and back into the streets.

Wandering about the streets, she weaved in and out of streets, alleyways, and in between people until she came into a slightly open area. Looking around, she noticed it looked slightly familiar and looked more in depth at her surroundings. Then it donned on her, she was back at the entrance of the city, which meant that... She stopped when she spotted that weird man, Timothy, over across the way. Lux put up her hood in an attempt to hide from him and to remain inconspicuous in the crowd and wait for either a new job to arise, or it start to get dark and her to seek out an inn.

  4. Lux was rather relieved when the older man answered her. He seemed nice, which made her worry a bit less about the are she was in. "I'm just passing through and I was told that was where I had to go." Lux replied to the old man with a meek smile. "I'll be on my way then. Thank you so much for your help." She added as she bowed and started off towards where the man had directed her. She didn't exactly want to go away from the nice old man so fast, but she wanted to get to her destination as quickly as possible and get out of these streets.

Lux walked down the street a little ways and found a building with a weathered sign out front in the shape of an envelope. She looked at the sign and tried to read what it said. "C..ur..er's Of..ice" was what she could make out and she believed she had come to the right spot. Walking up to the front door, she opened it and walked inside. It was kinda dark inside, with a few candles lit here and there and a fireplace. She went over to the counter and began to speak to the person who's rear-end was sticking out of a crate a few feet behind the counter. "Excuse me... Sir/Ma'am? I'm here to deliver a package." She beckoned to the person in the crate.

  5. Now that she had moved away from that... rather unique individual, Lux was walking around the city trying to find her destination, the courier's office. As she wandered around, the atmosphere around her seemed to get more and more hostile as she walked down the streets and through the alleys. She avoided looking around as what seemed to be bandits and outlaws were eyeing her as she passed. She felt extremely uncomfortable as she walked on and contemplated if she should have had Timothy accompany her. She decided to take a risk and ask a random person for directions.

"Uhm... Hello? Can you tell me where the courier's office is please?" Lux asked a man who seemed to be rather harmless compared to those around the area.

While Timothy was replying to her, he was getting even more nervous, almost to the point of getting creepy. Lux was starting to think about leaving and finding her own way to the courier's office. As he kept talking, Timothy was getting weirder and weirder and Lux was getting more and more wanting to get away from him.

"Thanks for the offer... But, I think I can find my own way. Thanks." Lux said cautiously as she slowly backed away and started to walk away, reciting the rule 'A stranger equals danger.' in her head.

  7. @@supersonicfan91,

After about fifteen minutes of hurried walking and coming around a canyon valley, the city of Ithagor was in sight. It wasn't much of a city, due to it being in a large wasteland, but it was impressive considering its location. Lux beamed and hurried to Ithagor. Another fifteen minutes and she arrived outside the town entrance. She stopped for a minute to catch her breath from her keeping a fast pace to get there.

She caught her breath and she began to walk in through the entrace of the city in order to start finding the client for her delivery. As she walked in, she was greeted by a rather nervous looking gentleman. She covered her mouth as she giggled a little. "You forgot to say name in your sentence." Lux said to Timothy with a grin. He then asked her if she would like some help with the box she was to deliver. "I think I can handle this by myself. But, if you could be so kind as to point me to the courier's office, that would be wonderful." Lux answered to his question.

  8. Lux looked sulkingly at the map as she looked how far away she was from the city.

"We need a new map, this one sucks." She said as she looked at what little money she had in her coin pouch. "Maybe I can buy a new one if this job earns enough." She added optimistically as she tapped on the box she was to bring to Ithagor. As she grabbed the box and stood up, she could hear faint voices coming from the direction she came from. Turning to look, she saw faint blurs in the distance.

"A stranger equals danger." Lux recited words from a list Nox had told her to follow. She giggled as that was her favourite rule because it rhymed. She then decided to pick up her pace a little and get to Ithagor before the people behind her caught up.

  9. The sun beating down on thaw land and a slight breeze flowing through her hooded robe, Lux had been walking what seemed forever down the road that would lead her to Ithagor. Before their trek, Lux's sister, Nox, had found a quick delivery job to a client in Ithagor to earn a little money. Lux reread the note that was left for her on top.

"Lux, take this parcel to Ithagor. In case we switch and it's gone, I have delivered it. So don't worry. -Nox"

The box she had to deliver wasn't big as it fit quite snug in her arms. She had passed a sign that said Ithagor was five miles about an hour ago and now she wondered how close she was. She stopped, sat down on her knees with the box in front of her, and pulled out a map.

"Hmmm... Where am I..." She said slowly with her tongue sticking out slightly as she scanned the map.

  10. Yeah. Bloodborne has some cool names that I might feed off of in the future.  :comeatus:

And all races are technically humans. It's just that the other 4 have differences in which everyone would consider them separate races. (Minidas are short, Zephia have wings, Penumbra have blood-red eyes and slightly red-ish skin, and Aura have strange natural tattoos on their bodies, mixed in with slightly darker skin than the average human.) So in this case, Lux/Nox could be some sort of Inferior Aura with faded-out marks and slightly Olive-colored skin. Or something.

That seems perfectly fine to me. I updated the app so it fits then.

  11. What's so weird about it?

Also, you have been added! Also also, interesting character concept, but maybe she could be somewhere around a slightly more Inferior Aura instead of being a race combo?

Yahargul is the name if the prison in Bloodborne.

I just wanted to test the water to see if a hybrid race was viable, but I can switch it if you want.

  12. This seems quite interesting and has piqued my interest. My character will be interesting so if you are confused let me know.

    Name: Lux/Nox

    Title: None

    Gender: Female

Race: Inferior Aura (Due to Human father.)

    Class: Mage

    Faction: Knights of Artemis

Weapon: Twin Souls (Grimoire of both black and white magic.)

Bio: Conceived by an Auran mother of status within the Academy and a Human father in secret, they were kept a secret until signs showed that the woman showed signs of pregnancy. The heads of the Academy soon found out about the affair that had happened and put the woman to trial. After some tests, the Academy heads discovered twins were to be born. They contemplated between each other and came to a conclusion. The trial ended with the woman to be executed for desecrating her purity after the infants were to be born.

Years after the two girls were born, Lux and Nox were watched and studied, seeing the effects of being a hybrid species, and that of being identical twins (Minus their eye colour. Lux's are light blue, Nox's are a deep green.) The two were inseparable and their attitudes were completely different. Lux was carefree and happy go lucky, and Nox was quiet and rather cold to others while being protective of her sister.

When they were approximately the age of thirteen, Lux and Nox were brought in by the Academy heads for an experiment to test for any abilities that could come from those who are twins. When it started, it unexpectedly went wrong and out of control. After the clouds of smoke had cleared, only one body laid there on the ground where the experiment took place. Those who were conducting it ran over to the girl and tried to get a response from her. When she came into conscious, her eyes opened and showed one blue eye, and one green one. The girl then panicked, but was quickly put to sleep and transported to an infirmary. Tests were done and they soon found out that both girls had fused into one body, hence the heterochromia.

Over four years had passed since that day and Nox had stolen a prized artifact and had run away from the Academy in order to protect her sister from further harm from those in the Academy. Since the incident, she had developed what others would take as a split personality disorder where Lux's and Nox's personalities would switch periodically. When on the run, they were running ragged and were eventually found by a member of the Knights of Artemis and were taken in as long as they could pull their weight and earn money. Almost no one knows about what happened to them as most just dismiss them as messed up in the head. While Nox is in control, she takes up jobs to earn money and purchase things to keep her sister happy and safe when her personality is in control, and while Lux is in control, she stays back and helps others who have suffered minor injuries. While they both do their respective duties, they both still diligently search for a way for them to return to having their own bodies and be able to have contact with each other.

(Quick note, when one personality is in control, the other is completely dormant and has no memories or knowledge of what the other does and have no contact with each other's conscious, other than notes written for each other to try to stay in contact with each other. So, let's say Lux meets a person and gets to know them a bit, when they switch, Nox will have no knowledge of who the person is or what they said to Lux.)

PS: Let me know if this is too confusing.

PSS: Also, I noticed that Yahargul name there... <_<
