Pretty stoked about this EP coming out soon by Stargazer.

Yeah man, the hype is getting to me.  Listened to one of their song "Animus" a while back when it was uploaded to the tubes.  Nice sounds.

Also, really stoked about the Rockstar Mayhem Fest 2013 tour thats comin' around this year.  The line-up here in Hartford includes BOO, Amon Amarth, Mastodon, and Children of Bodom, plus so much more.  I'm actually looking forward to it this year! :D

  2. Taking a quick break from homework to post.  Listening to some Disarmonia Mundi.  Melodeath is my go to choice while working:

Also, what's your favorite anime? Bored as hell recently and in the mood for something good to watch.

I've been getting into Last Exile recently.  If you like airships/ steampunky themed animes, its for you.  Plus, if you have Netflix, it's all up there.

    Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt

laugh.png  Haha, this is one funny ass anime.  I would recommend watching it.

Wade Barrett has it. Personally, i feel he's being wasted as the Intercontinental Champion. An ideal challenger for Barrett would have to be someone like Bo Dallas

Eeeeeh I disagree on that.  To have Bo Dallas come straight out of NXT and defeat Barrett one-on-one for the IC title would not only make Barrett look hella weak (which would kill any momentum he has/had for a main event push) but would also make the title less credible than it has already become.

Now that Dallas in in a program with Bray Wyatt and The Family, which is a good feud for them both, it opens up some possibilities for Barrett.  I agree on your opinion that he's been wasted as an IC champ.  I mean, he can only go out and gloat about his movie role in "Dead Man Down" on Raw so many times before it just becomes annoying as hell, which it has.  This feud with the Miz and a legend and main-eventer like Jericho is going to help build Barrett back up to where I would like him to be.

Sorry for the wall of text!

tl;dr- WWE is on the right path, as far as Barrett and the IC title are concerned.

Also, does anyone find it weird that the Miz went straight from a losing feud with Antonio Cesaro for the US title, to feuding with Barrett for the IC title?

  4. Well hello there, Rainbowdash!  It's always good to see another fan concocting their own works of fiction and art for the fandom!  I'm definitely gonna check out some of your stuff!

Welcome to the forums, and I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time! :D

  5. Metal threaaaad waaad up.

Don't know if this has been posted or not, but I'm gonna post it anyway.  Some of you may know already, The Contortionist parted ways with Jonathan Carpenter, their singer.

Sad face.  Although I can understand his reasoning.

On another note, now that Jesse Leach is back at the helm of KSE, I've been listening to his other stuff too.  Like Times of Grace, which is just awesome.

Damnit, damnit, damnit. Bulb needs to stop having such good taste in music. And games.

Haha, Misha in general is just awesome.  I'd imagine he's a pretty busy guy, being involved with Periphery, Haunted Shores with Mark Holcomb, his solo stuff as Bulb, and his various producing work with loads of other bands.  I definitely respect the shit out of him and his music.

I remember one of the first songs I heard from him as Bulb, "Unleash the Pwnies".   So dope.

  7.

Have you heard any of their 2009 Compilation release? It's a lot of Livva songs redone in C Standard with Angela. Plus the solos are (mostly) new, and I like them a lot better in the newer version.

Oooo, this is the first time I've heard this.  Very nice.  Those solos are good additions.  And I honestly didn't know there was so much hate for Angela; it's a shame because I think she's fit for Arch Enemy.  I stopped listening to them after Anthems of Rebellion, as it was the last cd I bought.

I really like the Angela version for "Bury Me and Angel" over Liiva's:

  8. Slowly getting back into listening to Arch Enemy.  Angela Gossow is probably one of the very few female vocalists who does growls the way that I like.

Also, earlier today, I was talking to a buddy of mine, and we reminisced about a few metal concerts we attended on separate occasions.  And Mastodon came up.  If there was any band I would like to see again live, it would be these guys hands down.

    Coheed is accepted here, correct?

    Hell yeah bruh.

At any rate, I started to actively listen to Insomnium, and I don't know why I haven't before.  I love melodeath, and these guys are pretty good, imo.

  10. Dinghy came stumbling up the plank to the deck, unaided by the dim moonlight and hindered by his inebriation.  The donkey took longer than he expected to get back to the Vermilion Sky, having gotten lost in the narrow streets of Trotuga.  He had his pistol drawn as he did then, having to shoot a few ruffians in a dark alley looking to take advantage of the drunken sailor on his way back to the ship.

The donkey's sight was wobbly; he could barely keep his footing (hoofing?).  It had been long since alcohol had took this much out of him.  In a sudden moment of nausea, Dinghy hurled is head over the side of the ship, and began to vomit profusely.

"Damn," he cursed, "I can't be reckless like this.  Not 'ere, not now."

He wiped his mouth with his hoof, holstering his pistol with the other.  The donkey peered long into the town of Trotuga, sparsely lit with nightlife under the veil of the pale moon above.

    "Bloody navy."  He muttered.

  11. @@,

(ooc: im assuming we're in the same bar, lol)

"Hhaha, that's the spirit!"  Dinghy laughed drunkenly as e saw the brown earth pony order a brandy.  The weathered donkey followed the trail of Copper's eyes, noticing the naval officer as well.  He then noticed Captain Dimond and a few other crew members exit the bar.  "Bloody hell, that ain't good."

Dinghy downed the last of his brandy, placed the empty bottle at the bar along with a few extra bits, and tried his best to slip out of the bar with intentions of heading back to the Vermilion Sky; assuming that's where the captain went.

  12. @,

Dinghy sat at the bar, 3/4's a way done with a bottle of blackberry brandy, and the donkey was feelin' pretty good.  At the corner of his eyes, he saw a brown earth pony take a seat a couple of chairs down from himself, throwing down some coins and receiving a large bottle of cider in return.  The cogs in his head starting turning, despite the haziness of the alcohol kicking in.  "Ain't that the bloke I saw before?  Stumblin' out that old house, lookin' all disgusted and what not?"

Without any sort of social restraint, due to his drink consumption, Dinghy closed that gap between himself and the brown earth pony; his eyebrow raised slightly in amusement.

"Oi lad,"  Dinghy started to say, "if yer lookin' to get drunk, yer gonna need more'er than that bottle 'o cider!"  The donkey began shaking his bottle of blackberry brandy in his hoof.

  13. Had a crappy few days.  Figured some Blood Mortized would put me in a better place.

As far as I know, I'm the only one here who is a fan of these bands. *sad face*

Not entirely true.  Although I honestly don't care much for A7X, I do really enjoy Ember to Inferno and Ascendancy by Trivium, as well as a couple songs from Shogun.  Torn Between Scylla and Charybdis is probably my favorite song by the band.

  14. The donkey trotted along the unfamiliar streets of Trotuga, guided only by the sparse directional signs posted along side buildings.  He spotted a few faces from the Vermilion Sky mingling about, checking shops and perusing through various odds and ends offered by street vendors.  His eyes came back to focus down the narrow street before him.  He noticed a brown earth pony making his way out of an old, seemingly abandoned building, with a look that Dinghy could only identify with as disgust.  The donkey did not think anything of it, and proceed down the street, following near illegible signs for the "Drunken Manticore".  He sung a verse of an old sailing shanty to himself as he finally came upon the tavern:

" I be sailin' by day

      'an be drinkin' by night.

A fine ale in me hoof

will cure this 'ol sailpony's blight."

He made his way to the bar, humming the rest, making no eye contact with anyone else.

  15. Dinghy stood at the edge of the deck, watching as the crew shuffled past him down the plank and into the welcoming streets of the town.  He peered over head to see Fiera fly from the crow's nest, off into the town.  He took in a deep, long breath, and exhaled.  His broken pocket watch laid delicately in his hoof as he gazed upon it.

"Perhaps with enough drink, I'll fall asleep, wake up next mornin', 'an this bugger will 'ave fixed itself."

The donkey trotted his way into the town too, intent on finding the tavern, and having himself a few hard drinks to ease his troubles.

  16. @,@,

"A peculiar fellow, that one is."  Dinghy mused to himself, once more rubbing his scraggly chin.  "I best be keepin' an eye on h-"

His thoughts were interrupted as he too witnessed the Manticore, that he had briefly known during his time on the Vermilion Sky, being rolled off the deck of the ship.  Her head sported a nice new hole, seemingly singed from a flame as well.  Dinghy's brow raised at the sight.

"Scratch that.  I best be keepin' both me eyes on this whole lot."  His thoughts once again began streaming through his mind.  The donkey turned his back, resuming with the docking preparations, keeping himself focused on the tasks that needed done.

  17. @,

    (ooc: s'all good man :D)

"Aye,"  the donkey answered, with confidence, "these hooves here 'ave fired their fair share 'o cannons over many moons."  He shook his pistol that was holstered around his hind right leg, making a subtle jingling noise.

"I ain't too bad with me 'ol shot, either."  He continued, smirking at Harmonic.  "I reckon one doesn't get to live a long life in this business without poppin' a few heads 'ere and there."

  18. @,

"Been sailin' since I was a wee colt.  Both on water and in the skies, I have.  Started off as a poor sap on a merchant ship, jus' like the one we jus' offed, 'an made the jump to this great 'ol life shortly after."  Dinghy rubbed his chin, his eyes trailing off to the side in remembrance.

"So I guess you could say I got a chestful full 'o experience of the nautical variety, I do."

  19. @,

In the corner of his eye, the hard working donkey saw Harmonic approaching him with a grin.  "Argh, what's this?  What in the bloody seas did I do now?"  The donkey thought to himself, turning to meet Harmonic's approach.

"You there, donkey. What's your name?"

"The name's Dinghy.  Dinghy Dank Donkey, I am.  Pleasure be mine."  He said while nodding.

  20. @

Dinghy heard Harmonic bellowing orders from above on the deck as he gathered his broken pocket watch from the galley.

"Oi, what's this? Arriving in Trotuga already?" The donkey pondered, scratching his head with his hoof, "I s'pose the times be a flyin' when yer blowin' up ships!"

He then made his way back topside, assisting the rest of the crew with the docking preparations.

  21. Dinghy trotted across the deck, and safely took cover under the hatch that led to the lower area of the ship. He watched as the merchant ship exploded in a brilliant warm colors; an amazing heat that rivaled the sun caressed the donkey's face. Bits and pieces of the annihilated ship flew above his cover. He sighed.

"Quick and easy," Dinghy muttered to himself, "Jus' the way I prefer it."

He closed the hatch above his head, making his way back to the galley to clean up his food.
