It's been years since I've been around here, but I've returned to collecting more ponies and my collection is better than ever. I have a link to my video. But more importantly, I can be found on Instagram too.

I've been collecting over five years now and it has resulted in a vast assortment of pony and pony accessories! My pony room is filled to the brim! I hope every fan and collector gets to see it! If you do, I hope you tell me what your favorite ponies were!

Hi, I’ve haven't yet made a blog around here but I guess today will be that time. When I went to BronyCon this year, I didn't know much about what was put into making plushes. These soft and cuddly renditions of characters, in this case characters from Friendship is Magic. I went to the vendors hall where they were selling them and I could see rows where plushes of all kinds were displayed to be hopefully bought by eager fans. Some were small and humble and some were huge, elaborate and so very expensive. Some professionally made and some well done but on a smaller scale. Either way, I hadn't known anything about plush making and how much work went into it so the prices usually took me by surprise. At least a hundred dollars they were going for. Many were more expensive than that but they were well crafted and I knew that it took a lot of effort to make, like a beautiful painting.

But I really saw the effort at a panel about plush making. Seeing the time lapse video made it clear that it takes practice and trial to perfect the craft. From the first attempt to the ones that sell at $250 or more, there were much to be found in the middle ground between amateurishness and perfection. I know that I have much to learn still. And I do want to learn about it. It looks so very fun to make and display. As I went through the convention, I went into the pony museum and saw the plushes there.

The potential is amazing for incredible artistic vision to be displayed through plushes. I knew I had to have one before I left the convention. So I went around and looked at them all. There were plenty of Mane six plushes to be found. But I saw that one vendor in particular was having a couple larger ones for silent auction. Taking the opportunity, I put my name down. Over the course of the convention, I went back occasionally to see how it was going. The price kept climbing but I was urged to put my name back on top until the price reached nearly $500. Reaching my limit, I hoped no pony else would come and then the minutes slowly reached the end and then it was mine. A giant and cuddly Princess Luna! It's all mine. I recently received it and now I think you can also see how lovely a plush can be.

And a size comparison with the large Princess Cadance figure.

I hope that I will someday be able to make plushes too. I hope you liked the pictures. Thank you for reading.

I ate this wonderful meal thanks to my Japanese friend from a city near Tokyo. It's called Takoyaki. It's a dish that is these balls of watery dough like material made with a special powder and cabbage. Tako means octopus in Japanese so a good thing to stick in the balls when they're frying is octopus pieces. But it can also be made with other stuff like cheese for example. The fryer thing pictured is a custom takoyaki fryer.
It was pretty good. There is a special takoyaki sauce and put some fish flakes and seaweed on there and you got a perfect meal!

That's when it was beginning to cook.

    It's frying great.

    All done! Yum!!
