If Junior Prom counts, it went great I guess. I took a good friend as a date and we had a great time. Basically danced the whole time although I cant dance well :\ Didnt pull the trigger and ask her out/even kiss her afterward like I hoped I would because....... Im a giant coward. But regardless we had fun at the dance, went into the city after, and came home really early into the morning. Good times overall

Selfies: What Do You Think Of Them?
Appleloosa replied to DukeofCanterlot's topic in General Discussion
I think of it just as a trend of today. Personally, I dont think its a bad thing at all, like every trend, it has its time and then gets replaced with something else just as stupid. Selfies are just another way to take a picture. Or how I primarily use them, as a means of communication (using snapchat) adding a selfie with the text just adds more possibility and emotion to communicating. I think its a plus in terms of that! As far as those two stories, people who would do those kinds of things would be doing something as cruel as that anyway. Selfie trend or not. But as this is coming from a 17 yo, its probably really biased -
Everything Im about to say has been stated before, but I too think it was the shirt (in the case of the yogibo store) and the walking (the other times) People look for obscure things to poke fun at. If something is normal, it isnt interesting and nothing funny can be said about it. When someone sees a person in a brony shirt, you better believe they are going to crack some jokes because there is so much to work with. "Men who like ponies? Wtf?" Its out of the ordinary. Same applies to the walking. If there is a crowd of people walking normal paced, and one person is going fast compared to the rest, it looks odd. combine this with either an awkward walking style or repeating it everyday and people will go from assuming, "that guy must be late for something" to, "why does that guy walk so weird?" Both can stop being a problem with the mindset of "who cares" but the simple fact is as long as youre wearing/doing something unusual, people are going to poke fun. This applies to everyone. Thats why many people are so conscious of how they stand/walk and why it takes a brave brony to wear something like a Trixie shirt. In reality, you can never be sure those people are actually laughing at you. Not calling it paranoia, but the human mind tends to assume many things

Personally, Im kinda burned out from the show. Actually, I havent seen an episode since the one with Maud Pie. But I have still not dropped mlp, nor do I not consider myself a fan. The reason Im not going to give up on it, and the reason why I dont think itll be going away is the community behind it. I still enjoy the fan-work and community so much that atleast personally, no matter what season it is, Ill never drop it.

Im a HUGE fan of Black Ops 2. So Im liking the new one so far with the technology. Juuuuuuuust as they dont go overboard. But at the end of the day, it cant be worse than Ghosts. Fun snipers and focus on competitive and I may finally be able to move from BO2.

a brony that does not watch the show
Appleloosa replied to ranul's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I consider myself a pretty huge fan of the show. I have been since season 2. Those days I binge-watched whole seasons. But these days I dont watch the show nearly as often as I used to. In fact, I havent seen an episode since the one with Maud Pie came out. Why? Just never felt the urge to. But like I said I still see myself as a fan. At the moment, even if I dont like the direction the show turned, I love the comic series and above all, the community. For those reasons Im still involved in the fandom. Ill just watch the missed episodes later when I want to more. Also, all of my gamertags are mlp related -

Sure, what else are these forums for? Hi!
-
Personally, no. But it is fun to run into them on occasion! Especially playing cod, theres a couple second period after you kill someone where you can hear what theyre saying into their mic. When its some try hard kid going for a flawless game and you kill them, its the best sound byte in the world. Being cod, its also pretty common. But on the flipside, having a rager on your team is no fun. *mute*

What sports team do you support?
Appleloosa replied to Rarity Paige Belle's topic in General Discussion
Anything Minnesota team eh? -
Well I think everyone is to a certain extent. Myself, I woudnt say Im obsessive with it, but the wonder of it does cross my mind rarely. As for the community specifically, idk. Maybe it is because the community consists of people with similar interests/mindsets for the most part and this group happens to be one interested in the topic of death? Then compared to a normal group, the numbers seem higher. But again, I dont, so this is only my guess. It is interesting though.

When I did a front flip off my bike going downhill when I accidentally used the front brake. My arm skin was falling off, and I didnt feel it til muchhhh later -
I think it would be a plus I guess, just because I see it as another thing to have in common. But Im not going to pursue or hold someone higher for that reason. Same as I view girls into sports as a plus since I myself enjoy sports, but by no means is it a "dealbreaker" or anything like that. I dont think anyones going to go, "Ew, why would I talk to her? She isnt into sports." So yes I would prefer, but its really no big deal.
