  1. My high school mascot is the Titan. The colors are green, silver, and black.
  2. I have a few that I really like: Looking for Group- very loosely based on World of Warcraft. About an undead warlock and an elf traveling together, it's Hilarious! Twokinds- takes place in a world with several non-human races, with whom the humans are at war. The story begins with a human with amnesia who finds a keidran, one of the non-human races. A good story, it gets better as it goes on. Order of the Stick- will be funnier if you are familiar with the tabletop game Dungeons and Dragons, but is funny nonetheless. It's about a team of adventurers trying to destroy an evil undead sorcerer. Housepets!- follows the life of a sentient cat and dog who are, as the name of the comic suggests, housepets. It is an amusing comic that hints at plot lines lurking in the background.
  3. Oh, that's easy! Most of my favorite music is purely instrumental. If I had to choose my favorite though, I think I would choose Redline Tango by John Mackey. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ed1w6RsFer8 I also really like To Tame the Perilous Skies by David Holsinger. My school band played it last year and it was amazing! http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TuQ_DKhy28A
  4. Personally, I Sunset Shimmer transforming into a human-world demon to be counterintuitive. I would have thought it more appropriate if she turned into an equestrian demon. The Element of Magic is an artifact imbued with equestrian magic that was brought into the human world. I wouldn't expect the Element to be able to resonate with the human world enough to cause a humanoid transformation. I had expected something similar to Nightmare Moon, seeing as the Element contains magic from Equestria. All in all, it felt about as rushed as season three did. I can't wait to see season four though!
  5. I enjoyed both games. I started on Fallout 3, finished it, then played New Vegas. I never finished New Vegas because the game glitched, but I had a lot of fun. I would start on Fallout 3 because the gameplay is less complicated than New Vegas in that New Vegas has a much more complicated crafting system and more kinds of weapons. However, both games are quite fun.
  6. I am currently in my senior year of high school, and it seems as though the years got progressively shorter as I went through high school. I'm going to be both happy and sad to be graduating, happy because I get to move to the next stage of my life. And sad because I'm going to be leaving quite a few of my friends and my favorite teachers.
  7. The Dresden Files is set in modern times in Chicago. The main character, Harry Dresden, is a wizard who works as a private detective. The story starts pretty simple, but gets more and more complicated as it goes. So far, there are 14 novels and an anthology and they can be as funny as they are serious.
  8. The Dresden Files is one of my favorite series. The books combine seriousness and humor quite well. I'm eagerly looking forward to the next in the series.
  9. I think that she is a veterinarian, or possibly an animal sitter. She at least takes care of her friend's pets when they need it, so I would imagine that she could take care of others.
  10. O Magnum Mysterium by Morten Lauridsen and arranged by H. Robert Reynolds. Played it last year in concert band, it is very lyrical but gets intense near the end.
  11. I would call it a genetic disorder, Pinkie seemed to think that it was alright that Gummy had no teeth, and I think she would be worried if he kept losing his teeth over and over. The genetic disorder may also account for the lack of higher mental function. Going along with the innocent design of the show, I doubt that Pinkie repeatedly pulls his teeth out. Perhaps Pinkie is that sadistic in fan fiction, but I don't think she is like that in the show.
  12. Twilight- Violin Applejack- Horn Pinkie Pie-Trombone Rarity- Oboe Rainbow Dash- Baritone sax (My instrument!) Fluttershy- Flute
  13. I hope you have a merry time on his fine day of our birth!

  14. Which of the Fallout animation intros is your favorite? I personally like Fallout 3's, but Fallout Tactics had a nice one too.
  15. My favorite book is the unabridged version of The Stand by Stephen King, but my favorite series is The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher.
  16. It seems that you have already made a decision about the show. We have given you many reasons, which I shall list, and you have shot down almost every one as a proper reason. You are also judging the show as if it was designed for adults, keep in mind the show was originally made for children, the stories don't have to be complex to be good. -Great animation -Incredible fandom -Art -Fan music -Fanfiction -Unity -Relatable characters -Good storylines -Good music -Life lessons and morals -Innocent -Makes us feel good inside -Steady character development with depth and realism -Humorous -Great voice actors -The show avoids full-on stereotypes *Will address this below* -Inspiration -Philosophical aspects -Show has so much more potential -References to the real world and fandom from within the show itself -There are likely some that I have missed So, as you can see, there is a plethora of reasons we like the show. Personally, I like the show because it has great music and, as a musician, I have fun playing it. If you look at the individual parts of the music, they are wonderfully complex, and the songs are full of tension and release. *Explanation* The appearances of the characters are counter-intuitive. Rarity may seem stuck-up and prissy, but she is quite generous. Rainbow Dash may seem like a dumb jock, but she loves reading and will help wherever she can. Both Rarity and Rainbow Dash may have in fact been villains in a different show, their personalities could be made to fit, but they are the heroes of this show. I find it slightly irritating that you ask our opinions, yet you tend to ignore or explain away what we answer. I find it hilarious that your avatar matches your post.
  17. I agree with what you are saying, the Mane Six will end up being the protectors of Equestria, Twilight will likely replace Celestia as ruler of Equestria, and Celestia was training Twilight to do so. However, I was questioning Celestia's methods of training, she put the entire country in danger for the sake of teaching Twilight to accept help from others. This was an immense risk to take, when I'm sure there was other ways of accomplishing the same task. Of course, Celestia could have been showing Twilight a hint of what is to come, holding a country's fate in her hands is likely something a princess will have to face. I am not certain Celestia is omniscient, it didn't seem that she foresaw the Changeling attack, however, she may have merely been following the chain of events. If she had known that Twilight would succeed, there would be no risk. However this would mean that free will is an illusion, as everything would be predestined. This may be so, as they speak of cutie marks determining a pony's destiny. I find Celestia's methods questionable unless she is, in fact, omniscient.
  18. Nobody ever stops learning. I think that it would be impossible for Celestia to teach Twilight absolutely everything she knows, as even she is still learning. As Racinette referred to above, Celestia says to Twilight, "I'll always be your mentor, but not the same as before." She will still be Twilight's teacher, but not quite in the master/apprentice relationship, probably more like equals. I also see Celestia as manipulative, but not evil, she risks all of Equestria in the Crystal Empire arc to teach Twilight a lesson about friendship yet she shows compassion towards others. I think she would go to great lengths to accomplish a task, perhaps at the risk of ponies she does not know personally.
  19. The ants would be a horrible way to die, they would get everywhere: eyes, ears, mouth, nose, just awful. The lion, even without teeth, could snap the neck fairly quickly, making death mostly painless. I am also slightly concerned as to why this question is being asked in the first place.
  20. Not counting songs everyone first plays: Twinkle Twinkle, Mary had a Little Lamb, et cetera, and counting learned as memorized, my first song was Turandot for the school marching band. I didn't play it very well, I was only a freshmen. I played alto saxophone then, and switched to baritone saxophone later that year.
  21. Gilda should get more development, I don't think she will come back as a true villain though. Perhaps the mane six will travel to the griffin lands on a diplomatic mission, especially because Twilight is a princess now, and they will meet her there. I also don't think Sombra is coming back after he exploded, even if he did come back, the Crystal Empire is protected by the Heart. I can definitely see Chrysalis coming back, out of all four of the main villains, I think she is the one most likely to come back. She wasn't killed, and she has motive to come back: revenge, food, and a kingdom to conquer. I think many of the stories have loose ends like "and we never saw them again" and should be tied up with some back-story. So far, they see the villain, they fight the villain, they defeat the villain. Many of the villains and creatures are based from Greek myths: Minotaur, griffin, Cerberus, Hydra, Discord (Eris, goddess of chaos, strife and discord), Ursa major and minor, et cetera. I would be excited to see more back-story for the creatures and characters in the show.
  22. To Tame the Perilous Skies by David Holsinger for me, it has been in my head ever since my school band got the music last year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuQ_DKhy28A
  23. While I feel the episode was rushed, I do think that Twilight being an alicorn has potential. It gives the writers more to work with in regards to future stories. It also gives the characters more room to grow and develop, for example, how will the Mane Six deal with Twilight having authority over them, for that matter, how will Twilight act? Will she become drunk with power or will she be a responsible leader? Twilight becoming an alicorn creates many new story opportunities for the next season. Many people don't like change and panic when it happens, as Flipturn Amaterasu ツ said above, "innocent until proven guilty."
  24. A story where the characters never change and develop is boring because if the characters never change, the story never changes. If Diamond stays the same, there is only so much that can happen with the show regarding the Cutie Mark Crusaders, If she changes, then the show can be different and interesting. This also relates back to the whole alicorn Twilight debacle, lots of people were upset when Twilight became an alicorn because suddenly something changed. In actuality, this gives the writers a whole new realm of stories to write and lessons to teach. It will even let them use morals for the older audience, like if your friend suddenly became your boss and how that should be handled. Often bullies are people who have "lost their way," they are often products of their environment, whether that environment is abusive parents or, in Babs Seed's case, being a target of bullying themselves. In short, the story will forever be the same thing if the characters are not dynamic. People in real life are dynamic, why shouldn't characters in a show that teaches life lessons be dynamic?
  25. I think I would support a republic more than an empire, so I support the Lunar Republic as long as there is still day. Luna's plan to have eternal night was not very well thought out, seeing as the entire land would die from lack of food and decreased production of oxygen.
