  1. There is just so much that seems like this episode will be involved with, yet it's still only 44 minutes! Either they're slamming a lot of awesome into this time frame, or some scenes are from different episodes. Regardless, it seems like we'll be at least touching the past. Both Nightmare Moon's initial rise, and Discord's reign. I am so excited.
  2. Comparing it with this image from Season 3, I'm thinking yes... Her neck appears longer, and so does her horn. Though, I will say with this show there is sometimes inconsistencies. It's possible that it's just these angles. But it's also possible that she's growing... edit: I went and looked at Equestria Girls during the beginning and apparently she was already like that (1, 2). I'm guessing that she grew during Magical Mystery Tour when she transformed. (I'm rewatching the series in order, haven't gotten to that episode so I'm not checking it out yet). I can't believe I didn't notice it before, haha.
  3. I'm not doing it this round. With Season One I had only seen a clip from "Party of One" before watching it (which was the reason I gave the show a try), and with Season Two I really wanted to see all the new pony stuff (and that they concealed Chrysalis entirely was amazing). I tried avoiding spoilers completely for the first time during Season Three. I did okay, but still got some spoiler hits. It had its pros and cons. One pro was being in the complete dark about Scootaloo's first episode. That was a great surprise. Two big cons were the inability to discuss spoilers that came up (that's one of my favorite things to do with the community) and it basically barred me from going to the various communities I enjoyed going to because there was just no way to avoid them. (both were major bummers) So much potential speculation and theorizing of possible outcomes I missed out on, absurd or otherwise. So yeah, I'm not going to try this season. It's quite hard so anyone who tries I give you the best of luck. Hilariously, that was one spoiler I didn't see until The Hub spoiled it in their commercials, right before the episode premiered. I was so pissed I laughed myself silly.
  4. On one hand I think it's this "Construction Pony" the press release mentions and that s/he is doing something inside the castle and every pony thinks it's a ghost. On the other, I want some sort of mythical magical creature because that would just be so cool.
  5. The Hub has released a more extended synopsis of episode 03, Castle-Mania Also, Cathy voices a Construction Pony? I wonder if that's a point of interest, or them just listing off various background characters. Regardless, I can't wait to see Josh Haber's first pony episode story.
  6. For me, it's the opposite. I don't want them to confirm her incapable of flying. It could continue to be a mystery and never answered, but I don't want to see them take that from her. She should be able to fly with her new mentor/"sister". It doesn't make her a Rainbow duplicate, she's very different from her. I've seen many who believe she should be the example used for a disabled-lesson, but there can always be another. Unfortunately, I disagree that she is off the hook on this issue, they could very likely stay true to Lauren's ideas and follow through with this. That aside, I don't really want to see Gilda again. I get the feeling we will and it'll be redemption-based, but really I think she's one of those characters that should remain what she is. She ditched her friend for the sake of image, she has no reason to return except to flip her personality. Also, Discord. I don't want them to completely disregard his past. He was an evil and chaotic creature for over a thousand years, that doesn't rub off just like that. His old ways need to leak every so often, if need be Fluttershy could be there to pick him back up, but it shouldn't just be forgotten. I believe the writers already know this, so I'm hopeful.
  7. I'm fairly curious now. Throughout the entire series no one even cared that these ponies were part of the Elements of Harmony, but now that Twilight is a princess she becomes noticable. Either the commonfolk are clueless of the Elements or this will be a small thing since it's the premiere, but eitherway I wonder if Twilight will have a harder time blending in or if they'll continue to ignore her like the past seasons. The Hub's facebook actually posted an image with lines from the premiere. The first part is an unrelated spoiler, but the tailend of it shows something on this. That aside though, I'm sure once we've gotten into the series her title won't be used much at all from the circle of friends. Perhaps a slip up here and there, and a glare from Twilight (which would be amusing). I still expect some very minor characters and background ponies to call her by the title though.
  8. I finally got the chance to watch it today, and I was simply overjoyed. It was beyond my expectations, I really need to stop doubting these guys it was beautiful. I wish I had not waited as long as I did to see it. It was so much fun to watch Twilight and Spike try and figure out the humanoid world, seeing the familiar characters as if they had never existed be brought back to life. The introduction of Fluttershy was essentially an exact replica, and it was awesome! Seeing Rainbow Dash scoop up Scootaloo and fly her around at the end was absolutely adorable, watching Pinkie Pie be herself was awesome as always. I mean it was really just so odd and amazing I don't even know. The humanoid aspect still isn't something I enjoy, but what I watched was acceptable. Interestingly, I had thought that it might be chock full of fandom tidbits but it was surprisingly bare besides Derpy. I actually kind of liked that. There is probably so many holes in the plot that I didn't notice that probably render the story absolutely confusing but I don't care, watching Twilight become friends with the five all over again was well worth the hour-long episode. I give it a completely unexpected 4/5, I'd definitely rewatch it if the future. I actually loved it.
  9. Hahaha, wow. I can't believe they actually gave out an exact release date. I knew it would be shocking if they did, but I was so certain it wouldn't be that. I'm glad I was wrong. I can't wait!
  10. I'm hopeful that this news is related to the premiere date, perhaps giving us a more clear ballpark premiere area or even a premiere month. An exact date would be incredibly shocking, and I can't say I expect it as it seems fairly early. My only other guess would be merchandise fans have been really wanting to be released.. Perhaps the soundtrack, blu-ray seasons, or something else. This was all announced at ComicCon a few days ago, what the article states is true.
  11. True, I suppose they could have just meant their winter quarter and not necessarily the exact season. Still, until further information is given I'd assume otherwise (because if it turns out to be eariler than that, you get a pleasant surprise).
  12. December 21st is the only Saturday in Winter of 2013, so I personally think the chances of a 2013 premiere are fairly slim. (I also doubt they're going to change the premiere day-of-the-week) My personal prediction is a late-January or anytime in Febuary. Early March could be possible, but I'm hopeful it's not beyond that.
  13. That would be a fairly interesting scene. Scootaloo always wanted to be like Rainbow Dash, though to me that sounds like a situation in which she'd gain her cutie mark. If she learned to fly and got her cutie mark, that would be a shocking episode to say the least. It seems unlikely with that in mind. Maybe I'm not thinking this through properly. Though really, if they finally decided to let the Crusaders grow up a little I don't think it would hurt the group. Each could gain their cutie marks little by little throughout the season, and the fate of the Cutie Mark Crusaders could be an episode.
  14. I get the feeling Twilight is somehow witnessing the past, and Luna is talking to Celestia but Twilight is seeing it through Celestia's point of view. I've had the thought that perhaps Celestia and/or Luna wanted Twilight to see what exactly happened a thousand years ago, so that they might be able to allow the new princess to learn from Luna's past mistake and not repeat it, and perhaps they're letting her travel through their memories. But perhaps something else is going on, considering Twilight's confusion. Also, it might not have been brought up yet, but the various clips show certain numbers at the bottom-right. 405 (Crusaders), 406 (Superheroes), 409 (Apple Family), and 401 (Nightmare Moon). It seems quite likely that these are episode-numbers, so that means the Luna clip is actually part one of the premiere. Judging from the clip, it looks like it could be at the very end of part one before it goes "To be continued...", or perhaps Luna will appear after the cut and tell her that 'this is what happened to me a thousand years ago', explains things and we continue through a history lesson.
  15. That would be an extrodinary outcome. Perhaps the reason she can't fly is simply because she never had someone to teach her (she doesn't live in Cloudsdale, and maybe her parents aren't pegasi)? Now that she's under the wing of Rainbow Dash, she could very well be the one to teach her. I would enjoy that so much. Regardless of what happens though, I doubt the Crusaders won't be accepted as the representatives. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon are always proven wrong. I'd expect bittersweetness.
