  1. The garage door started to slide to the right, disappearing into the wall slowly. Dust rushed inwards into the room before settling. Before the vehicle was a deserted wasteland, barren and cracked with some grass growing there and there. Skeletons of trees littered the area with a poorly maintained road leading to a small town not far up head. Roaring, the vehicle began moving forward. It was a relatively smooth ride forward as the vehicle did twist and turns, moving up and down the cracked road. Climbing up and down a wreckage, the machine-gun turret began moving. Sergeant Traverse kept the vehicle moving at a moderate pace with Corporal Steer handling the turret. It was peaceful, as peaceful as one can get in Disharmonic Equestria. Eventually, the sight of tall buildings appear in view as the vehicle drove up the road. They passed a single sign that merely stated, "Mareington - 5 Miles." They were nearly there. ---- @,@, "No, I believe I spooked him, not a fight," Gentle Secret replied back simply. "My fault." Then, Gentle Secret turned towards Hazmat, "Is there something wrong? You're looking at the gun and the floor repetitively."
  2. @@SpikusFyre, "No, of course not, I was just studying your body language and the fact you sighed," Gentle Secret replied, following him. "Sorry if I scared you." With that, she boarded onto the vehicle and sat away from Spikus Fyre, guessing that he probably doesn't want to be near her. It makes sense, of course, if a pony manages to guess your thoughts and spoke to you out of nowhere. ---- "The Whisperer has moved out of standard movement over," a scout radioed in as she peered through her binoculars. "It appears it is moving towards Greetings St., where I believe the eight ponies will be arriving from. I advise caution. This is Corporal Aster Luck out." Putting the radio into her pocket, she picked up her battle rifle and motioned for her partner to start moving. They had been watching the Whisperer for nearly an hour and it is best that they get moving. Walking down the stairs and taking a jump to get to the other side of the room where there is a large gap, the two ponies moved stealthily. Sliding down a small sloping of a roof, they jumped down onto the ground. With that, they looked around before disappearing.
  3. @@Nintenboy195, Alright, finally got your request done!
  4. @@SpikusFyre, "When ponies are nervous, they tend to ignore those feelings via conversations with each other, having a good laugh or two," Gentle Secret stated as she walked over to Spikus Fyre, "it might be difficult to understand. Especially with some ponies which are geared to getting the mission done and views discussions as a waste of time. That is at least what I've read from books based on pony psychology and I'm guessing you're having thoughts that these conversations are meaningless." ---- Sergeant Traverse climbed aboard the vehicle and pressed a button. There were two loud clicks as the doors used by the passengers in the back swung open, revealing a modest interior. The engine started to roar to life with the lights now dimming. Along the walls, there are red lights springing to life, all of them leading towards the garage door. It was time to start moving. "Alright, everyone get inside the vehicle, we're about to get going to Mareington. And to the ponies that want to know, her name is Rose," Sergeant Traverse announced.
  5. @,@@dragon4111, @, @@SpikusFyre, @@FractalMoon, @@Birdy the Phoenix, @, "Ah, you're all here," Princess Reverie greeted them as she walked upon the catwalk with the same soldier as before in the room. "It is delightful, I hope you all have got to know each other well for you all will be departing momentarily. Sergeant Traverse and Corporal Steer, as you may have already greeted, will be along with you in this journey. They'll be supporting you, but won't be actively be helping you. The mission is still up to you eight." "When you arrive at Mareington," Princess Reverie continuing, "there should be a pair of scouts awaiting for your arrival. They'll be helping you for around a week to get you all familiarized with the area. They will not be with you for your entire journey. I hope you all will make it back to see a brighter future. Good bye my little ponies." Tipping her head, she and the soldier disappeared at that, leaving ten ponies alone. ---- "She has enough armor to bounce a 90mm if you're wanting to know. A 120mm would be pushing 'er to her maximum," Sergeant Traverse replied after Princess Reverie had left the room. "And I will do sir if there's anything that comes up from the gun."
  6. @, "Sorta," Sergeant Traverse replied as he walked over, "it will be your base of operation, but ya'll will probably be spending most nights on your own. The streets of Mareington are usually in a mess and it might take a while for 'er to move through them. So think of it as a resting point when some days it gets too rough or somepony is injured. This vehicle is armored enough that most creatures won't be getting inside and the machine gun which everypony 'ere has been looking at so far good enough to kill most." @@FractalMoon, @,@@SpikusFyre, Sergeant Traverse turned around and smiled, "It's a .50 HMG folks! Keep staring at it, I know its a beauty to look at! Also, she admires the looks ya'll giving her." The door swung open again as a young stallion walked in, an earth pony with a similar combat suit as Sergeant Traverse. There was a small name-tag attached to the suit, it simply read, "Corporal Steer." He shook his head at his superior's shout before smiling at each of the eight. "'Ello, I'm Corporal Steer and I'll be the assistant driver in this journey. Princess Reverie will be appearing along the catwalk above soon."
  7. @, "Nervous? I am nervous, that is most certain," Gentle Secret replied as she glanced at Sapphire Placebo, "we are going to Mareington, a city with one of the highest rate of causalities for scouts. Not to mention, we're going up there, above this bunker. We're going to a world where Disharmony rules and lurks about, no pony should say they are confident and without nervousness. It isn't possible." ---- "Ah, you all are the eight, huh?" a pony wearing a combat suit greeted them as he entered through a small door. "I was expecting a bunch of mean, scaring soldiers waiting. Well, you're all a lot better than I was imaging, makes everything seem normal... for me that is. I bet some of ya never even took a step outside." Opening the driver's seat with a twist of a key, the pony climbed up and started up the vehicle. Fiddling around with the instruments and buttons on board, the pony got off from the vehicle again. He paced around the vehicle in inspection, nodding to the eight ponies as he made sure nothing was amiss. "Those mechanics better had not screw up her," one could hear him faintly mutter to himself as he backed away and nodded. "Ah! I've forgot, I'm Sergeant Traverse," Sergeant Traverse introduced himself, "I'll be your driver with Corporal Steer as my assistant. Nice to meet ya'll."
  8. Gentle Secret decided to take the first few steps into the dark hallway. She continued onwards as she found the hallway lighting up slowly. Stopping before a set of stairs, she motioned for her teammates to follow as she continued upwards. When she climbed the last stair, she noted that there are now small dim lights revealing the hallway. Still moving forward without checking if her teammates were following, Gentle Secret stepped into a large room. From what she could tell, this was a decently sized garage capable of supporting five cars comfortably. The ceiling was around twenty-four meters above the ground with a catwalk not far from the floor. Dirty and scratched were the steel walls surrounding the room, they seemed to be around eighty years old. The flooring was made of smoothed out concrete blocks. In the middle was a large vehicle, large enough to fit around twenty ponies easily. The angular look it had made it pleasing and deadly to the eyes. On top of the vehicle was a remote-controlled machine gun probably used to defend itself against creatures. Made out of steel, the vehicle would be strong enough to resist most attacks from disharmonic creatures while having speed and maneuverability rivaling a car. Walking around, Gentle Secret noted that there wasn't any pony around. Looking around, she noted tools, tires, random parts, things that would fit such a garage like this. Then, she saw something in the far corner of a wall, a small camera that was tracking her. Thinking to herself, she concluded that they must be waiting for everypony to arrive, which should be soon enough anyways.
  9. @, "No ma'am, no medical conditions that I've know of," Gentle Secret replied to the pegasus that introduced herself as a medic. That was unique, being a medic and all. Saying what she needed, Gentle Secret made her way to the double doors and peered into the dark hallway. @@SpikusFyre, @@Birdy the Phoenix, "We should be getting ready to go, I doubt Princess Reverie would like us to spend too much time here discussing little things," Gentle Secret nodded her head as she sat down near the door and opened up her datapad and looked around before closing it. From what she could tell, there were quite a large selection of files pertaining to many things above. It'll, from her guesses, take around at least three days to read them all if she read continuously and not even stopping for a single break. "Nice to meet you Silver Shine," Gentle Secret dipped her head at her.
  10. "Hello, I'm Gentle Secret a magic-majoring unicorn," Gentle Secret dipped her head a little as she introduced herself, "I look forward in working with every single one of you." She had seen End Game and Spikus Fyre introduce themselves, more to each other, but that mattered little. She had figured if there were some introductions, she might as well join in to get that part over with. ---- "You're to not disclose any information of our special force that is currently operating in Mareington to the eight ponies if they ask you any information pertaining to the city or the world in general," an officer of an unknown rank stated calmly at the driver of the transport vehicle. "You're, however, allowed to inform them of our outposts and some of the scouts we have in the city. Is that understood sergeant?" "Crystal sir, crystal," the sergeant replied saluting, "I'm not telling then nothin' about our forces sir." The officer seemed pleased at the response before nodding his head, "That is good to hear. If we are to get any reports that goes against this... you'll be the first to be approached." With that, the officer departed, leaving an annoyed sergeant and his assistant alone.
  11. Alright, sounds good. Accepted. By the way, I gotta say your OC is adorable!
  12. Inside the gray saddlebag were all sorts of items. The most eye-catching as a simple datapad placed carefully on top of the closely packed items. Its dull black color contrasted the more brighter colors of the items that were around it. In the middle of the datapad was a decently sized screen tinted a sky blue. Beyond the datapad were items that one would normally find in survival kits and other designed to help ponies to get out of many situations if used right. There were vials of chemical ingredients, a few tools designed for many situations, ropes designed for high tension and high weight, parts that can be put together to make traps, and rations. All in all, it seemed like there was something inside the bag fit for a situation, no matter how rare a situation could possibly be. Each item seemed pristine in condition, a rare thing in Disharmonic times. It is safe to say that these bags are worth a fortune. ---- Gentle Secret picked up equipment and made sure they were strapped comfortably tight. Then, she proceeded to open one of the gray bags and peered inside before whistling quietly to herself. Levitating the datapad, she strapped it comfortably around her left forehoof before turning it on. Making sure the datapad was comfortable, she returned to her inspection of the items inside before zipping it and equipping it on herself. Stretching herself, she was astounded at how light it felt. She was well-versed in magic, more than most unicorns now a days, but it was amazing on what unicorn engineers can do. Smiling, she nodded to herself before she heard a unicorn carrying what seemed to be heavy-duty rifle state something about the princess. Cocking her head, she shrugged. "I doubt the princess repaired your gun sir," Gentle Secret replied, "I think you'll have to thank the servants under her."
  13. "Fret not little one, I have faith in all of you coming back and being able to see the future that is coming to us," Princess Reverie responded confidently, smiling. "As long as you all act wise and have faith in each other, nothing can stand before you eight." "Princess, the vehicle is ready," the same soldier whispered into her ears before returning back to his post. While Princess Reverie were answering questions, a single armored vehicle was being made ready for the expedition. Nodding, Princess Reverie got up from the sofa and bowed her heads, "My little ponies, your transport is ready, please gather your items and pick a gray saddlebag. It appears that your time is coming fast to start your mission. Brave yourselves, I will leave you all to your own devices to familiarize yourselves with each other and investigate the items inside the bags given to you. If there is anything you'd like to say to your friends or family, please inform one of the guards. I will be awaiting you." At that, Princess Reverie and her guards left the room, disappearing into the dark hallway leading to the vehicle.
  14. "Two-hundred-and-fifty-eight.. wait," I scratched my head in confusion, "why am I counting grains of sand? Oh man, it had already been an hour!"
  15. @@Birdy the Phoenix, "It will with it being the first great step ponykind will take on this road to Equestria that we all yearn for," Princess Reverie nodded her head, "please be at ease little one. If you eight are to retrieve the three chips, we can improve our situation many times over. Our dwindling supply of food could be made up for using information gleamed from the MDS and the ATS chip and the AI chip will give us a better view on our situation. We won't solve this issue similar to the Elements of Harmony with one good 'hurrah' as they say, but we will see a Equestria of the olden times one eventual day." ---- Gentle Secret mused about the information given and the discussion happening between her future teammates and Princess Reverie. Inferring upon the princess's words, it'll be a long fight to free Equestria of Disharmony. Having some scouts as friends, she had managed to question some of them of what sorts of creatures lurks above and many of them makes her shiver. She had even heard rumors of alicorns running amok. Whether there be truth in that or not, it will be one heck of an experience when they depart into Mareington.
  16. "It is a mission of great difficulty, not a suicide mission," Princess Reverie replied comfortingly, "I will not abandon you all to your deaths, it'll be unbecoming of ponykind. When you all have achieved your goal of retrieving the three chips, you may rendezvous with one of the small outposts we keep around Mareington. At that point, you all will be retrieved by a small force and taken back to this bunker." The presentation easel's subject changed into a drawing of the three chips. Each one was moderately sized with unit measurements being shown. 60mm in width, height/length of 130mm, and 4mm in depth. Each had its own unique markings, the left a city, the middle what appears to be an alicorn, and the right a book. Below each drawing were the acronyms, MDS, AI, and ATS going from left to right. "You are to find these three chips that carry sensitive information," Princess Reverie answered End Game's question, "any information pertaining to these three items that we've know of had is stored in your individual datapads that we've allocated and placed in each of the gray bags." At last, her attention focused on the question of exactly what is up there. Smiling sadly, Princess Reverie replied, "there are many sorts of monsters up there. Many are capable of tearing apart a pony without much thought and some are even capable of deteriorating a pony's mental health just by being near them. If I were to reveal what is up there, we may be here for an entire month, but know this: any creature you see, kill it immediately. There are no good produced by Disharmony and any creation it created should be treated with great hostility."
  17. Sure thing. Do you want sketches or ones with outlining and coloring?
  18. Alright, just inform me if you do find a cutie mark for her. ^^
  19. Hey! I'm about to begin the sketching stage of your request. May I know what cutie mark she has? Thanks! I'm currently beginning the sketching process for quite a lot of the requests so you guys might be receiving a PM from me asking if the sketch is ok within this week/next week. Good a'day!
  20. OOC The lights flickered as eight ponies sat upon modest sofas. Stroking the edges of the room, the lights shined dimly, casting a dull yellow glow. It was a tense situation, due to both the current situation and of their future mission. A single hour had passed since the eight chosen ponies were ushered in. A vow of silence each of them promised as they entered, each were flanked by a guard. There are two doors in the room, the one behind the ponies, where they came from, and the double doors in front of them. The purpose of the double door in front remains unknown to all except for the silent guards. Periodically, two servants will come in to deposit decently sized gray bags at the right wall, the purpose unknown too. Any equipment brought by the eight were placed to their left, each told to not open theirs. Any violation of the rule would been seen as an attempt of treason. The seconds ticked before an armored soldier walked through what were unopened doors. Each step he took were of weariness enforced with discipline. His face hidden by the helmet he wore, his narrow digital eyes scanned each of the eight. Speaking no words, he nodded towards the two guards posted at the doors to retrieve someone on the other side. “Greetings,” the soldier began as his attention returned to the small audience, “Princess Reverie will be here momentarily to speak to you eight of your important mission. Do not make any large movements, use any magic, nothing at all. Do not speak either,” pausing for a mere second, he continued, “you are only allowed to speak when Princess Reverie allows it.” "My little ponies," an unicorn of a large stature entered the room at that moment. Smiling warmly, she sat on a comfortable sofa positioned in front of the chosen eight. "I am delighted that all eight of you had accepted the invitation in partaking in this commission, yet it saddens me to request such a heavy burden upon you all. It is a difficult thing for a princess to request her subjects to complete a task for her." A servant, without any command present, entered the room and placed down an easel with a map of Mareington present. "You eight are to retrieve three important items from Mareington," Princess Reverie levitated a marker, "from what our courageous scouts can gather, the three items are located at Prima, Marehattan, and Stallien Island. The exact locations are unknown for each one due to presence of creatures limiting our scouts' ranges. Adding onto the primary mission goal, there had also been reports of an unique creature being spotted in Mareington. It saddens me to say that we are unable to identify what this creature is exactly, but it should be in your best interests to keep an eye around yourselves when you all depart." With that, Princess Reverie capped the marker and placed it done, "Now, we have allocated items for you all to use. Using what knowledge is left of enchantment, we had managed to decrease the weight of the basic survival kit normally given to scouts. They are the gray bags you see to the right of you, they contain what you need to survive. My little ponies, you all have the right to refuse, but I advise such." "Any questions my brave eight? I will answer them all," Princess Reverie asked, her voice filled with all the attributes similar to a mother's. "Any question, even of the days long gone."
  21. And there forth, by the orders of Sunbutt, you can like bananas or get run over by a train eighty times over. Night, chicken, mountain.
  22. Ah, I'm ready to get started on those requests. ^^
