Welcome to MLP Forums! I'm Cinnamon, but feel free to call me Cinna. ^^

If you have any questions, or just want a pony to chat with, feel free to PM me! I'm always up for new friends!

I might be the only one that was not "forced" into watching it cause I thought the ponies were cute, I was hesitant at first cause I was into something else at the time (this was back in 2011, like in ancient days xD) but when my sister was watching it in the room cause the channel was on I decided to actually get into it, and now... Just over 8 years later, the show still dictates my life, and I have mets lots of friends and grew big (and had hardships of course) cause of it! And I am happy about that.

And cons are fun, I have been to a good amount, my first one being in 2012, so still way back in the past hehe.

Well I am sure you will have a great time! And this forum made me some good friends as well so I am sure it will for you too!

Welcome to MLP forums! I'm cinnamon, but you can call me Cinna or Cinny  ^^

If you have any questions, or just wanna make a new friend or want someone to chat with, feel free to PM me!

I'm from the US, I've been to new York once, I'd like to go back at some point, Niagara Falls was awesome to see on the Ontario side! Went from west to east in new York, it was pretty. The hills in the east were nice, even more so than Colorado (where I'm from.. well mostly) where I grew up at.

But anyway, I hope that you have a good time! I'm sure you will.

  3. I have been on this site since August 2nd, 2013, so I have been on here for.... SIX YEARS! My gosh, has it really been that long.... Well anyway..

I kinda remember it, I joined cause I knew someone that was on here doing commissions at the time, (I still am in contact with them though they haven't peeped on here since 2013) and I thought "Hey.. Maybe I could try to make some new friends on the MLP forum as well as the friends I already have from my local (Colorado) brony group" So I ended up joining in 2013 and was welcomed by a lot of people. A lot of people that used to be active are now gone at this point that I talked to, but I still keep in contact with a few of the people who left, like @Electrobolt I think is the big one who I am still great friends with and talk to on a daily basis.

But on a first day basis I don't remember much other than introducing myself, but I did meet a good deal of friends on here though! 6 years and I still am here, and that doesn't plan to change anytime soon. ^^

  4. I have a facebook, I also have twitter, but I only lurk on facebook (And it has a good amount of people I knew from high school on it) but I never talk on there nor do anything.

Twitter I haven't logged on in forever. My main means of contact are my phone, discord, and my phone. xD Or IRL, I do that too, but even IRL I am a cute little pony so.

    And that's that.

As for my non-mlp life: I'm currently in the process of obtaining my cybersecurity degree to get a good job so that I can then go into meteorology. I plan on seeing just how far I can go with meteorology. I love everything that has to do with weather. I love to chase storms, yet I don't live in Oklahoma. I live in northern Alabama around Huntsville.

Storm chasing huh, I like to do that myself, so does my roomate, I grew up in Colorado though, and east of there gets lots of storms though! Though ironically I live in Oklahoma now, just moved here in August from the Denver/Front range area, north of it. But, I always liked storms, especially the lightning parts, and I have gone on a few chases back when I lived in Colorado and got to see my first tornado this year, but now I live in the center of storms as well, but either eastern Colorado or Oklahoma, both get pretty nasty storms sometimes.

But I hope you have a good time! Hope to see you around

  6. Even though I ultimately ended up where I didn't really want to go when I moved last August, originally we were going to plan to go down to Dallas, but the apartment complexes down there didn't give us the time of day, well the one we actually applied for, oh well, so I ended up in our second choice, Oklahoma City

But, this place isn't that bad, it's still close to where I want to end up, and it's a brand new place, I have visited a couple times, it's not a bad place, other than the drivers >.<

It's a nice central place, my parents aren't too far, where I was born isn't far either, so I can visit family relatively easy. Now that all my family I had all moved out of Colorado, where I grew up. My sister is still there though, Colorado, was a nice place to live and grow up and spend most of my life, the mountains are pretty, but honestly I don't think I will ever move back again, I already moved back once for a while but things are starting to change there big time, will visit, but yeah.

Do I like where I live? Yeah, I like every place to be honest, I have been to all 48 states, and this is a great central place to live even though I didn't end up where I ultimately wanted. :3

  7. I own no land, since I live in an apartment complex with a roomate, but....

My parents in northern Arkansas live on a property with their own custom built house with about an acre of land I think, next to the lake. Pretty up there, I lived there for a while before moving out, but it is more remote than when I lived in Bailey, Colorado (45 miles southwest of Denver in the mountains) and that was a pain to grow up with. We commuted to Denver many times when I was young. xD And back then they owned about an acre up there as well, when you walked to the street you could kinda see Mount Evans, pretty view, but the forest was in the way.

My uncle who is also in northern Arkansas (my dad's brother) about an hour away from my parents they own about.... 50 acres of land I think? He has a big property. but Property is much cheaper up there, and he has two buildings up there, his house and a "shack" that is more of a garage with a nice living quarters.

    But that was a lot of tangents about the topic. xD Me personally, I own no land whatsoever, but eventually, I wanna get my own property down in Texas about a few hours away from where I was born (in Louisiana) and close to Dallas. I just need money and to pay off my debt first ^^;

  8. I haven't really had issues when the power goes out lately, but now that I moved to a state where the infrastructure is not nearly as good, and where bad weather reigns supreme, that will be happening a lot more here I am sure, had a little bit of a power outage earlier around the time I woke up cause of some heavy thunder and lightning, it kicked off my desktop and my internet for a bit but really it wasn't an absolute outage it was more of a voltage drop to the extreme than no power at all.

But when it does go out.. Well I will have to figure that out now when I get an outage cause I haven't actually been in an actual power outage in a long time, I have been lucky like that.

But back in the mountains of Colorado when I was young, power outages happened a lot, one time a truck hit the 45 kV power lines heading into where I lived and the power was out for a good entire night and more, that was a pain cause we had to have flashlights, we lit a fire in the furnace we had in that house, and really slept in the living room. But that was over 12 years ago at this point. Now.. I guess I will just have to find out, get the flashlights, go outside, (not that I don't go outside lots anyway) and enjoy whatever I can.

  9. I never really cared for post count to be honest, if I did I would have way more posts than I have. Plus it's just hard to find anything actually interesting to post on the forum in general, but I do lurk all the time. xD

Honestly some of those threads that I see "What were you doing 10 minutes ago" or "What was the last thing you ate" Should go on the Forum Lounge instead of General Discussion, cause, those topics aren't discussing anything, they are just people lounging and stuff if you get what I mean, General Discussion I think should be used more for actual discussion of a topic, the Lounge sounds more to be for just general little topics like that that have no general conversation whatsoever.

  10. Hot and sunny where I am at right now, some clouds, maybe we will get some rain later, not sure. But still super hot and dry and low humidity, the usual for Colorado, though it has been a super wet year, though it seems now we are going into a dry time so not as much rain is gonna happen for a bit.

  13. About 80 degrees, so normal I guess. It was colder on Monday (only in the 60's) but that cold front was out and gone super quick. I am so glad I am done with the super cold snow weather, and by the time winter comes I will be moved further south where it is warmer in general and more WET!

  14. Late spring to Summer. Winter can go.. Die forever for all I care. xD I hate the cold, I hate the deadness of the winter, the only GOOD thing about winter is the lack of bugs. But other than that winter sucks, I hate snow, I hate cold, I hate that nature shuts itself off during the winter. Spring has the coolest weather usually though, when the tornadoes and severe storms wanna be out more often, and when it's warmer.

Early spring to mid spring to even early late spring here in Colorado is still just winter with how cold it gets. xD Only the past few weeks have things finally been warm enough.

But yeah. If I HAD to pick a favorite I guess spring, but more specifically late spring.

  15. The place I live is said to have been built in the 1960's area. It is a triplex, an interesting building, (and I will be moving out of it in a couple months)

I live in the top unit with 4 others, and it is about 2,000 square feet, has a patio, and a separate two car garage. And below the unit I live in there are two units under us, one on one side, and another on another side. So three units, one on top, two on bottom, the ones under us are about half the size.

But according to the landlord of the building, it was made in the 60's. But he has renovated the units a lot so it doesn't seem that way on the inside. But you can kind of tell on the outside that it's an older building. Sooo yeah

  16. Moving this year, moving somewhere I would rather be and spend the rest of my life near. And more fun trips to see places as well. But for that, that's it for now, cause I dunno what type of bleh that entire thing is gonna be.

Oh also I am looking forward to getting something I just bought, but since I just bought it, it's gonna be a while before it gets here. xD

It's tropical here. Just walking to the mailbox and back will have ya soaked. When the sun sets, the mosquitoes carry away anything that isn't bolted down. lol

But that's the type of weather I like the most, the only downside is the sweat buuut my body likes the heat better than the cold, and I live where it's super cold way too much. When it's 20 degrees outside my body wants to have a shiver spasm, when it's 95 it's uncomfrotable but tolerable. Even drowning in sweat. xD

  18. Well..... Other than you know work my normal shifts overnight, I have a couple things I will end up doing.

Moving, Is the big thing. In August I am moving away from overdangcrowded Colorado to Texas, and that will be a fun venture, got a lot of stuff to move and a wallet to empty out when we do so. And before then we have to take a trip to find places to live down there as well.

Other than those fun things I also plan to go do some things as it's the last summer I will be living here. So a few trails and what not to do in the mountains before moving out.

So nothing terribly special, and not much I can do entirely as an overnighter.

  19. The weather here right now..... Let me see, it is about... 72 degrees outside, Humidity 29%, so not very humid at all, pretty dry actually, a pretty nice day outside.

I may do something in it, not sure.

    Hot and humid  :yuck:

Hot and humid sounds nice, I love the humid, so what is yuck about that? xD  If you wanna know what is yuck... Cold, dry, and snow.

Now that kind of weather, cold dry and snow, is very... Look below

  20. ..... Almost barely. I really need to clean more these days, my room is just been a mess, and since I don't live with my parents anymore and on my own I just have let it get kinda cluttered too much since I don't have a family that pressures me to keep it clean, and my roomates don't ever come in here. Meeaaaah.

I need to clean it again soon too cause I am about to move across the country in a couple months.. And having a clean room will make the move a whole lot easier.. Heh.

    Curse you lazy Cinny....

  21. For me, when I got to sleep, though "Night" is an ambiguous term cause I do overnight shifts so my main "nights" sleep from around 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, buuut that is just extra useless information not regarding the topic, oh well, I added it. xD Now..

How long does it take me? Well I usually kinda bleh around on my phone a bit and look at stuff before bed, and then when I finally commit to going to sleep it really just depends. Usually by the time I hit the bed to when I actually sleep it is about an hour. That is including my lay in bed doing stuff time, in general, possibly 30 minutes, still too long >.<

    But yeah.

  22. I definitely prefer hot weather over cold weather. My body just doesn't like cold weather all that much, and I also don't like wearing 50 different layers to keep warm in super cold weather. I prefer things humid not dry, and I grew up in a mostly cold and dry climate (though I was born in a super hot and wet climate..) though it does get super hot here too but still dry.

Hot and humid is what I prefer, my ideal temperature is in the 70's I would say. Upper 60's to mid 70's is where I prefer the most, with lots of water in the air. Dry is just too.. Dry. We all need water to survive though so yeah. xD

Only downside of hot weather is bugs, all the dang bugs out and about. And Downside of Humid weather is sweat. Other than that... I prefer heat over cold in many many many ways.
