Is there such thing as "perfection?"
Moonlight Sapphire replied to Overdrive's topic in General Discussion
That reminds me of a character from a book called "The Great Divorce", something about not wanting to reach the ultimate perfect end but wanting to stay in an eternal chase for the end...I think I just want to reach the end myself lol. I can't wrap my head around the idea of having a goal and not wanting to achieve it at the same time. -
Is there such thing as "perfection?"
Moonlight Sapphire replied to Overdrive's topic in General Discussion
Well it seems to me like you would have to establish whether objectivity exist or not...which I believe in objective truths and self-evident things. I know there are people however that believe that everything is relative to one's own perspective. I don't think anything in terms of entertainment can be perfect (even though MLP comes pretty close), but that is definitely subjective to opinions as I am sure everyone can agree with. However I do believe it is possible to become perfect in virtue (like never telling a lie, honesty being a universal concept) so yeah there is that. -

I am very open about it, although I wasn't at first. I use to watch the show in private and would check to see if anyone was looking. Which bothered me for I wanted to share my passion for this show with others. However ever since I went to BronyCon 2013, which allowed me to be open about how much I enjoy this show, I no longer felt the need to hide the fact that I am a brony.

I am super excited for Season 4 which starts in less then an hour! But alas I don't have cable. In the past I watched season 3 on Youtube. But I do believe this cheating Hasbro out of it's views and giving it to someone who doesn't even own the content, so I plan to never do that again. I have Netflix but I would have to wait for three months before season 4 comes out! This would leave me out of the brony herd for sure. So I did some research and I think I can buy episodes on Youtube from Hasbro channel. I only have one concern, if I buy episodes from Hasbro channel would they come in HD (at least 720p)? All their previews of their previous episodes are in 480p. I was wondering if that was only for the previews. As a huge fan of the show I want to see the ponies in HD! I hoping to watch the first episode Sunday night. So if you have any advice I will be most grateful.

are fandoms the new religon?
Moonlight Sapphire replied to Mr. Changeling's topic in General Discussion
(Let me be clear here I am not trying to convert anyone, but I do have some points that I would like others to take into consideration.) "Religion should be our relationship to the Creator. Can one make a fandom his or her religion? Sure but it would be spiritually unhealthy. It's like this, the most important thing in your life is your religion or more specifically your god. The danger is that the thing, person, or ideal you worship (give all of your attention to) will dictate who you are. How you pray is how you live. Fandoms our just for fun, if we worship fun we will become indifferent to things that are not fun, but that are important. Sacrificing for the good of another is one example. So in the end you would lose your ability to love, if the most important thing in your life is fun. Also one more important point I would like to make is that of fulfillment. This was talked about at Brony Con. We do things in our lives to find fulfillment, it's the thing that separates us from any other creature. This fandom gives us a lot of happiness and excitement, it fulfills us but only to an extent. Happiness in this life does not last forever, we experience this with everything. For example try watching MLP episodes over and over again, it eventually gets boring not fulfilling. What we truly desire is our Creator who is are beginning and last end." - A Catholic Brony -

Stupid things you assumed as a kid?
Moonlight Sapphire replied to Tyger's topic in General Discussion
I used to think that Call of Duty's multiplayer was how war really was. I guess I was putting too much trust in the developers, who most likely never even fought in a real war before. -
movies/tv Do you like Star Wars?
Moonlight Sapphire replied to The Cynical Lone Wolf's topic in Media Discussion
I grew up with Star Wars but I wouldn't say I am too much a fan of it as of the present moment. I remember when my brothers and I would role play it out in are backyard. My brothers would always turn to the dark side so quickly lol. I would always choose the light side and try to be like Obi-Wan Kenobi my favorite character. I always thought of him to be the central character when it came to the movies. I mean at least he is in all the movies. -
Looks like Spitfire needs to lay off Apple Jack's apple pies. All in all I think this picture is great though. Thanks for sharing!

planning Darkness rises (Adventure)
Moonlight Sapphire replied to Rascal~'s topic in Everfree Planning, OOC & Discussion
I would like to join this but am still relatively new to this site, that being said I have yet to complete my character. One of the things I am still working on is deciding what his cutie mark would be. -
I would have you rate my OC, but he does not have much of a back story... at all really. I been trying to think up one that would fit into the canon of MLP:FiM. So all I got so far is good looks. Also he does not have a cutie mark yet and he was clearly made by a "generator" I think you would call it. I am hoping to have his cutie mark involve a sapphire gemstone somehow.

Oh now I remember, I have a bad memory. I only seen most of the episodes only once as well. So yeah thanks for reminding me.
-
Yeah I never thought that either, I was thrilled by the show the first moment I watched it despite being an 19 year old male. Although I did try to avoid being called a brony, just didn't sound right to me but now I am proud to be called a brony!

Well your in luck, friendship is what we are all about! I just have one question though. Is Fluttershy sick or something?
-
Yeah I not really active on the forums as well, life has been busy. But welcome to MLP Forums! Hope to see you around.

Yes it is when you act out your character with others, which creates a story. Check out the Beginners Guide http://mlpforums.com/topic/6539-a-general-guide-to-roleplaying/ (I hope this link is clickable.)
