  1. "What? Well, I know you're not foot soldier material, hence why I put you forward for the special operations unit. When Ribose has had enough time to cool off, I'll talk to her about it." William replied. "My advice? Stay out of combat for the time being. Only go on missions at night, and you should be able to stay out of the line of fire. I will try to get you back in to Spec Ops as soon as I can. It's where you do your best work."
  2. As William was digging, he began to tire, he wasn't making any real progress and he wanted to make sure Damien and Trixie were alright. He couldn't move any more snow than a normal human with his abilities, so he decided to try to find them. @ "Oh good, you're alright Damien." William sighed. "You ok? You seem a bit off... well, more than usual I mean."
  3. @@Hive King, @@Zhooves "On my way!" Kachina said, trying to lift the boulder with psychic. "Don't just stand there, Mr. Nobility! Help me! This boulder is crushing him, we need to get it off of him, and I can't do it alone!" She pleaded. She probably would have been able to lift it herself, but she was distracted, thinking about thinking about who could possibly have hurled the rocks.
  4. @@Zhooves, @@Hive King "Mierda!" Kachina cursed, as she rolled away from the boulder, as Ai was wrenched from her grip. "Where did she go? And who threw the rocks? We need to find whoever did that and get the thief back. This must mean that she's with Ribose, and whoever distracted us was her ex-filtration. Damn it all..." Kachina sighed.
  5. "Hence why I suggested you go and plant the explosives with Kilroy. No direct combat, you'll only be placing explosives. Just put the distraction charges down first, then put down frag mines, preferably under some sand so they don't stick out, and hide." Malt explained. "Once we give you the go-ahead, you detonate the charges, and then when the Gold Stars go to investigate, they'll find they will be missing a few limbs."
  6. William was safely out of the way when the snow fell. Lucky for him, and the assisting Gijinka, most of the snow had either been stopped entirely or at least diverted. He sighed in relief. "Alright, everyone, time to start digging. We need to at least try to find anyone who's been buried under the snow. Hopefully that number is fairly low, but the longer we take, the higher that number could get. Ice, Psychic, and Fire types need to remove the snow by either moving it physically, or melting it. Everyone else, grab a shovel. We've got a lot of work to do."
  7. William was snapped out of his trance when he felt the earth tremble. He stood up and ran back to base as fast as he could. "What the hell?" Was all he could muster as he saw an avalanche started to tumble down the mountain and destroy parts of the base. "All Rock, Ice, and Psychic type Gijinka! Come with me! Your assistance is needed!" William called as he ran through the camp, repeating the same phrase as he headed towards the avalanche. "Rock types! Erect walls of stone to stop the snow! Ice types! Do the same thing with Ice, or just redirect the snow to a safer location! Psychic types! Assist the Ice-types in re-directing the snow!" @@Dji As he was barking orders, William noticed Trixie in her puddle on the ground. "Trixie? You can't really help stop the snow, help evacuate. Get all non-essential personnel to a safer location and tell any Rock, Ice, or Psychic-types to come help stem the tide."
  8. "Which, by all accounts, it should work." Malt said. "Also, if we're going to set this up, we better do it quick, we're wasting moonlight sitting around here shooting the shit. Kilroy, Soprano, I want you two to set up the distraction slash trap. Catalina can come with me as the second medic. Is that acceptable?" He asked.
  9. @@Zhooves "Food. Not only for our soldiers, but for civilians as well as the enemy forces' soldiers. I coordinate Viral's civilian aid effort in this region, and she is the kind of rogue element that makes my job even harder." Kachina replied. "Civilian food may not be lifesaving medicine, but it's just as important, especially for the more poverty-stricken areas around here and for those who have been driven to poverty by being unlucky enough to be caught in the middle of the war."
  10. @ "It's alright, it happens." William replied. "Ribose is going to take the majority of our army, and storm St. Petersburg, drawing Viral's attention and personally drawing him away from the European headquarters of Viral in Belarus, while you, myself, and some other special operations forces will take the headquarters and take any copies of the intelligence of supply lines, camp locations, or anything else of value, and then torch the place. Assuming Ribose causes enough wanton destruction, we'll be in the clear."
  11. Exiting the building, heading towards the camp of the actual soldiers he found Damien wandering the area it seemed. "Damien, perfect. You're clear on the plan right? I've just briefed Ribose on the strategy, and she should be leaving with the large infantry units within the coming hours." William asked. "And yes, you will be to torch the place afterwards if you so desire."
  12. @@Zhooves, @, @ "There is no issue when your foe is not an honorable one, such as a common thief." Kachina replied, hoping that it would appeal to his sense of honor. "She stole from our forces, it's only just that she be punished. We are escorting her to our camp in order for her trial. Her ultimate punishment will be decided by our leader."
  13. "Perfect. I was thinking about setting off a little... Fireworks display to draw them over, and maybe set some frag mines on the way to the explosion, so when they go over to investigate..." Malt said. "Boom." He said, stomping in to the dust to illustrate his point. "Sound like a good plan?"
  14. Payday: The Heist is free to keep, today only! Everyone go to the store page on steam and redeem it! It's a great game, from great developers, but it's only available for free for 24 hours, don't put it off!

    1. Blue The Pikachu

      Blue The Pikachu

Another reason I love Steam, random free games :') thanks for the heads up!

  15. "Well that makes things significantly harder... There will be no cover to stay out of sight of the snipers." Malt noted. "We may need to set up a distraction. Who was it that had the explosives, and can we detonate them remotely? I've got another plan." He said, chuckling softly.
  16. @, @ As Ai tried to pull away and stamped on her foot, she winced in pain but still held on to Ai's arm. "You aren't getting away a second time. Don't make us have to incapacitate you to bring you to Viral." She warned. Kachina linked her arm around Ai's arm. "Nox, hold her other side like I am so we can bring her back to base, I'm starting to get annoyed by this." ----------------------------------------------------------- As William was blown out of the room with a gust of air, he tumbled on the floor directly outside and came to a rest about ten feet outside the entrance. He got up, dusted himself off and replaced his hat on his head. Leaving the base proper, he went outside in to the forest and decided to meditate in the shade, waiting for the invasion to begin.
  17. @ "If you aren't scared of Viral, then you're either completely ignorant of what happened not a hundred feet from you ten minutes ago or you're a bigger fool than I thought." Kachina replied. "If you want to get a decent meal, apply for aid. I organize the civilian aid efforts for Viral's army in this region, so I can help you with that, but thievery is only going to get you in to trouble. Viral may be eccentric, but you're lucky we caught you. Ribose and her forces are much more ruthless and you'd likely either be pressed in to service as infantry or just killed outright. Consider yourself lucky."
  18. @ "Don't bother trying to fiddle with those locks. We've had them thoroughly tested to resist lockpicking attempts from conventional and unconventional means, like lockpicks and psychic manipulation, respectively." Kachina said. "And yes, you stole from our supply caravans, you need to be punished for that. Though how you will be, or even if you will be at all will really be up to Viral, and considering his... erratic... nature, you have just as much chance as getting off with a warning as you do with spontaneous combustion, so I hope you feel lucky."
  19. @ Kachina could only stare as Ai continued to roll down the hill. When she finally came to a rest at the bottom, she levitated down and put some handcuffs on her. "No more of that now my dear. We have some things to discuss. Now stand up and follow me, I'll have to walk this time, unfortunately. Shame, levitating is so much more enjoyable." She complained, lifting Ai to her feet. "Alright now, back to base, come with me." She said, gripping Ai's arm tightly. She wouldn't be able to use her telekinesis or levitation on her, unfortunately, as Ai was an Umbreon and would be unaffected by it. --------------------------------------------------------------- @ "I don't doubt that, Madame, however my plan is twofold. A strike on two fronts, a stronger one to draw Viral's attention, and a smaller one to capture the Headquarters and raid it for intelligence. We will require our spies and infiltrators to take the building, which I will oversee personally. My plan requires you to be spearheading the charge in Russia to distract Viral himself, as well as the majority of his forces in the region. We will have the majority of our infantry attack St. Petersburg, currently controlled by Viral as you no doubt know, led by you in order to make it seem like we are setting up for the attack on the European Headquarters from the east sometime in the future, however we will strike from the west today, cutting out their communication and retrieving the data necessary. I have already started sowing rumors of the attack on St. Petersburg in hopes that Viral's intelligence team would pick up on it and that Viral would decide to act accordingly." William explained. "Your main goal, according to plan, is basically cause as much destruction and wreak as much havok as you see fit. You will be notified when the infiltration is complete by a teleport messenger, we will send another back to our headquarters with the intel and we will pull out when the infiltration is complete." He completed. "This plan will require precision timing, which you are no doubt capable of, and many of our troops are capable of. I just needed to tell you of it, as you are the one element that required the least preparation."
  20. @ Kachina could only chuckle. "You let that one get away, Nox. We better go after her, her crimes remain unpunished." She levitated off in the direction where Sona ran towards, staying high enough that she could see a hill next to a village. What faction it was aligned with at the moment, she didn't care. She had to recapture the prisoner. She flew towards the hill and saw Ai, and a puddle of slime. The puddle of slime seemed to have left a trail for Ai to slip on, so she floated behind her and waited for the inevitable crash.
  21. @ "Madame, I am well aware of his... evasiveness... The mission goal was to capture the headquarters and any and all intelligence located within. We don't have anyone deep enough in their army to give us information covertly, thus we are arranging the storm on the HQ." William replied. "And I'm well aware that there are many... variables... with this plan, but no more than any other."
  22. William gulped and started sweating. The plan wasn't foolproof, he was a good enough strategist to know that was never the case, Murphey's Law is always in effect. "Uh-understood Madame." He stammered. He was decent enough in combat, but taking on an entire army was not his specialty. He would likely have to resort to using his poisoned needles to cause the targets to go berserk and just start attacking anyone, rather than just the Ribose fighters.
  23. "As you wish Madame." William said as he rose and held the door for the Mewtwo Gijinka, replacing the pyramid-shaped hat on his head. ------------------------------------------------------------- "Ah but then the question becomes, where is Viral? He's still at the nearest base, yes? Good. Lead the way then." Kachina replied, leaning, appearing to be laying on her side in mid-air, levitating a couple yards off the ground.
  24. Entering the mountain base, William ascended to the top floor and entered the room where Ribose was currently enjoying her wine. As he entered, saluting the guards, he knelt and said "Madame, the strike on Viral's European Headquarters is ready. Did you want to be present?" He asked. --------------------------------------- Kachina slowly levitated herself behind Nox. "Now now, no need to be jumpy. She's not one of hers. Nor one of ours. Her bags, however, suggest she's been being a bit naughty and swiping some supplies from either supply caravans or shops from neutral parties. I'm going to hazard a guess and say both, but also not discriminating with which caravan she would raid, so at least she wasn't targeting only ours." She mused. "I wouldn't let her go, but you may want to bring her before Viral or at least a higher ranking officer and give her a trial of sorts."
  25. "Is Soprano still in that ditch?" Malt asked. He picked up a pebble with magic and tossed it at the yellow pony's head. "Oy!" He said as he clopped his hooves together. "Put away those precious notes of yours and get up here, if they were actually enemies and it was a trap, they wouldn't be letting me throw pebbles at you, would they?"
