For those who do not know, Im big into history and very much into ww1 and ww2 history, I currently live in Stavanger Norway and I have lived there for almost 2 years now, but it was only up until today that I finaly decided to visit the old bunkers on Fjölöy (the atlantic wall, whitch is the defence Hitler built through out the atlantic,) (Fjøløy in Norwegian) ö and ø is the same letter, except ö is the version you use in Sweden (whitch im from) and also because I have a swedish keyboard.

Either way, visiting places with historic value is something I love to do, to some people its just damaged/ half demolished bunkers and scars about a time they want to forget.

I did take some pictures aswell.

This is of the most well preserved bunker with the battery still visible (could'nt go inside this one)

While I wasnt trying to dodge sheep poop, the scenery was amazing.

This was the very top of the hill/mountain, not sure what had stood there but it was cool either way, besides, LEL pictues

Like I said, visiting places with history is one of my favourite things to do. In 3 weeks im going to have a car ride back to Sweden to see relatives (12 hour car ride for the win *cries inside*) and we are then going to stop by Halden whitch is a city that contains a fortress named Fredriksten (hope I spelled that right) although that is much older history and is more centric around the fall of the swedish empire.

Just walking around in these places of historic significance feels very rewarding and fun for me.

I will most likely make a blog when ive been to Halden aswell.

While these bunkers were never really used to actualy deffend the citys it was still a fun place to visit.

If you've seen my other blogs you will know that I like history, and this is another history blog.
About two weeks ago I went on a small vacation to Sweden and it's a 10 hour drive from where I live in Norway to Gothenburg.

A little backstory: I moved to Norway 2 years ago, and when I moved from Sweden to Norway we moved from Gothenburg to Stavanger, and the road you drive when you drive from/to Gothenburg is pretty much the only way you can make a side stop to Halden without spending more than an hour for the whole side stop. Keep in mind it takes 10 hours to drive so you kinda dont wanna do alot of stops and do other things other than driving. Now, we drive to Sweden alot to visit grandparents, family etc but since we dont live in Gothenburg anymore and none of our other relatives do, we never take the Gothenburg road, so Halden has never been an option unless you wanna do a 2hour off road on a 12 hour drive. (takes 10 hours to Gothenburg and 12 hours to where my relatives live)

But anyways, the point is that for 2 years ive wanted to visit Halden and now ive finaly had the chance to do so.

The only thing that is really to any interest for me in Halden is the fortress called Fredriksten.

Fredriksten is mostly known for being the place where the swedish king Karl XII was killed. And that pretty much put an end to the swedish empire ( the swedish empire was never really that big and you pretty much only learn about it in Sweden)

Aside from being the place where Karl XII was killed it's still a very nice place to be at with fantastic view. So I guess that means it's picture time.

There wasnt really any good spot to take a picture that would include the whole fortress.

And now to the main attraction at the place.

    The monument for Karl XII

Im gonna translate what it says to the best of my ability.

Karl XII fell here 1718 (why it has a C instead of K I dont know.

    Fredriksten deffended/served it's fatherland

Swedes and norweigans raised this monument.

This is a place I dont regret visiting, and I took the chance when I could to visit. Because I dont wanna live thinking what it would've been like not visiting.

This historic place obviously doesnt matter that much to countries other than Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

So I have been thinking about writing a long blog about me as a person and how I ended up here.

Some backstory about me. Im from Sweden and i grew up in a middle class family and im the youngest of 4 brothers. An ideal childhood to many and I can agree on that my childhood was pretty much amazing. My brothers were my best friends and they still are today, pretty much everything I like is because of my brothers because they were my rolemodels and I wanted to be like them so I played the video games they played and I liked the TV-shows they liked, I wouldnt want to like something that my brothers didnt like and an example would be a music band that I liked a song with and my brother didnt like that band at all so I would stay away from it because I didnt want to disapoint my brothers.

When I was around 10-11 years old I finaly found a group of friends that I sticked with and had similar interests with, sadly when I moved from the town I had lived in for 15 years the contact with many of them faded, except my best friend that I still talk to today.

I gained a huge interest in history and I would look at all kinds different things. This was mainly due to the heavy metal band Sabaton, they sing about historical events (mostly battles) and I loved it. Not only did they sound amazing but the songs had a big message aswell. They released an album called Carolus Rex whitch is about the history of the swedish empire and this made me a patriot aswell.

So far in the story im 16 years old and you could summ me up as a huge world of warcraft and heavy metal fan. this has been the case for me for about for about 8 years now because those two things are still huge parts of my life.

So lets move on to the story of me discovering My little pony friendship is magic.

my first encounter with ponies was in 2012 (im 16 here) in a video someone made about a specific topic in World Of Warcraft, Basicly he said ''How to soak the hour of TWILIGHT as an enhancement shaman'' and when he said twilight a image of twilight sparkle showed up for about 2 seconds, I didnt know what this was at the time and I didnt pay much attention to it, but in the video suggestion bar of that video was the video ''Twilight sparkles special message'' and I watched it and found it kind of weird at first but I quickly moved on.

2012 continues. I would again stumble upon a World of Warcraft video about a guy doing different stuff and his youtube avatar was twilight sparkle, again I wouldnt pay much attention to it. But I would like to think that these images got stored into my brain and probably affected my choice to press that full season 1 of mlp fim video on youtube.

So here comes the section of when I start watching the actual show. Its 2013 and summer, Im currently living in Norway and my Aunts birthday is comming up and we're making the 13 hour drive to Sweden. Skipping forward a few days where the birthday is done and its the night before we're heading back to Norway and we're staying the night at our aunts place. While my mom, dad and aunt are having adult conversations that I dont really take part in since I find those kind of conversations very boring I was watching Abraham Lincoln the vampire slayer or whatever its called. When the movie ends and its still too early for bed I randomly surf on youtube on my Iphone, at this point I am extremely bored and wanted to watch something that would kill a few hours. So in the video suggestion bar this 9 hour long video of the first season of MLP FiM pops up, I didnt think much when I pressed it and I knew I could always laugh at it for how bad it was gonna be. So I sit there watching the first two episodes and I wasnt really thinking at all my brain was unplugged and I mindlessly started at my phones screen. When it was time for bed I was still watching it and I ended up watching it until 4 at night. I was entertained and i paused the video when I went to sleep for it to load so I could continue in the morning when we had the 13 hour long drive. I found the series very very entertaining because I was after all still watching it, but my phones battery died maybe 2 hours into the trip and I wouldnt think about anything else than that when I got home I would watch the rest of it. So we get home and I power through the 3 seasons in about 2-3 days and I also ended up watching equestria girls.

I was so amazed by the show but I didnt tell anyone about it. I started watching fan-made videos on youtube and one movie was the Chronicles of the bronies. I was wondering what this fandom was all about.

Lets jump forward to the present. I took the big step of going into a community and I was searching for forums about brony fansites and I ended up here, it takes alot for me to register on a website and actualy get a photo avatar. I couldnt be more happier than I am now. My parents still dont know Im a brony they just know that I watch the series and they were not really against it, they thought at first it was some kind of parody that I watched or something and that it wasnt the real deal. I got my credit card now that im 18 and I orderd a Brony t-shirt that im waiting for to arive, im really looking forward to it. My love for the brony community grows everyday and im happy to be a part of it.

If you have read everything you deserve a cookie. This was more of a intro and a little bit about myself and how I got involved in the bronydom. For future blogs I will pretty much ramble on about something that I find very awesome in the series or community. And now im off to bed because its 01.02

Thanks for reading my probably weird blog. /) to all of you.
