The 2nd Mass

Slipstream slammed into the side of Mr. Critical and pushed him out of the way just in time. "I hope that didn't hurt to much." she said looking him right in the eyes from only a meter away. She was in a stance that resembled a staring position in a race, her body facing the cragodile and her head peering around her side to look at Mr. Critical.

Slipstream changed her expression in an attempt to look confident and turned to look at Mr. Critical "Way to think on your hooves." she said, a little impressed by how well he was handling the situation. "If they send more I'm sure you'll figure out what to do." It was either not his first fight or he was acting casually about it. If it was the later then she couldn't tell if it was to make the group feel more confident or to make himself seem more impressive.

Slipstream heard something and so did all the other ponies without any command she instinctively shot up in the air to see what was wrong but she didn't have to go far. she instantly spotted a cragodile. "CRAGODILE!" she yelled as she landed back with the group hoping one of them had a plan of attack.

"This is all nice and good but when are we supposed to be getting off this rolling death trap anyway." Slipstream said to the group as she looked cautiously out of the window "I don't like how vulnerable we are in this thing. If something is blocking the tracks we instantly become sitting ducks." she turned and looked out the opposite window with equal care "To the ponies powerful enough to foalnap the bearers we are the most dangerous ponies in Equestria, they are going to want to try and stop us as soon as they can. They cant risk us getting anywhere near the bearers."

"So you only work with blades then?" Slipstream replied "What if we need explosives or maybe even a vehicle..." she turned to look at Mooneyes "could you do any of that? If not maybe we have two masterminds, that could come in handy, less mistakes you can collaborate and make the best possible plans." Slipstream pointed this out very proudly she enjoyed telling ponies what they could and couldn't do, she also liked to think tactically throughout the journey so far she had been putting together the groups strengths and weaknesses. She didn't like being in a team but she might as well figure out the best ways they would work together.

Slipstream sat in the front of the train car listening to the conversations everypony was having. She could tell that Steel was assembling some king of mechanical device, and by the sound of it a complicated one. She listened intently to the conversation between Mooneyes and Mr. Critical, once Mooneyes had finished his last sentences Slipstream butted in "If you analyze for your research you must be the scientist. You could be the one to design any equipment we might need... that is, the equipment that Steel isn't carrying." She took the opportunity to look over at Steel and discovered that the device he had built was some kind of wrist mounted blade."or maybe that's his job too." she said slightly surprised by what she saw.

Slipstream was starting to get impatient. She saw Mr. Critical leave the group and so she decided she would do the same. with the same speed and acceleration as when she first showed off her skills to the group she darted into the air sending a heavy breeze across the platform she had just left. Once out of sight she once again let herself feel the effects weightlessness, but this time she closed her eyes and listened. She focused and could hear the faint sound of the trains engine chugging along the track towards them. She darted downward and landed on her hooves in a cocky but not to show-off-y pose. She saw Mr. Critical return to the group and she told him the train would arrive soon.

"I don't know..." said Slipstream in response to the pegasus who now was starting to slightly annoy her. "I've never met her, but once we are done with this mission of ours I will be sure to challenge her to a race. From what I've heard though, I think she has me on speed and acceleration but I could probably beet her at a maneuverability or endurance test. In my opinion we are almost evenly matched." as she finished a small smile came to her face the though of such a challenge made her excited to finish this quest if she couldn't restrain herself she might just challenge dash to a race on the way to the next city. Her daydreaming was pushed aside as Mr. Critical started handing out tickets to the train. Slipstream took hers politely and waited for the others to board the train.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Slipstream replied, slightly annoyed by the earth pony's philosophical saying. "I have no weakness, and even if I did I would never show or admit to it. That takes away my advantage and gives it to you. Why do you think I've been so quite, I'm not giving any of you the advantage. For all I know one of you could be the one who foalnapped the bearers anyway." She paused and turned to Steel, looking him dead in the eyes, showing as little emotion as she could "and I'll try to remember that next time." she added as she turned and landed back in the front of the group.

"The names Slipstream." she said as she took flight, flying casual circles around Steel. "That trick is impressive..." she said in a slightly cocky tone "but check this one out." Slipstream blasted into the air accelerating faster than anything the other ponies had seen before. once she got high enough to be out of sight she stopped flapping her wings letting gravity slow her down. Once she got to the apex of her arc she closed her eyes, she loved the feeling of weightlessness, it one one of her favorite things about flying. She opened her eyes remembering that she had promised everypony a trick so she decided to pull off one of her favorites. She began to fall faster and faster and at the last moment pulled up flying in between Steel and Mr. Critical being sure to lightly brush each one with a feather on the end of each wing. Once clear of the group she began barrel roll after barrel-roll kicking up dust from the ground in a beautiful spiral pattern making it impossible to see behind the swirling but controlled cloud of dust. after a few seconds of letting everypony look at the pattern she made she shot through the center of the spiral, heading right at the group, covering herself in the dust she had kicked up. At the last possible instant she stopped on a dime right in front of Steel allowing all the dust she had been covered in fly on to him and cover his coat. "Well..." she said in a way that could be seen as flirting but was not meant to be "did you like it?" she finishes, ignoring the fact that she had just covered the scariest pony she had ever seen with dirt and dust.

Slipstream casually walks over to the critic, quietly to him alone, she wanted to keep this conversation between them in case she was wrong about her assumptions of the team. "You seem to be the mastermind here, what plan are you cooking up for trottingham?..." she asked. She had not spoken until then, she preferred to listen and she did so very well. Judging by what she could tell about the other ponies she was the scout. "and what part do I play in it?" She tacked on at the end. (Sorry I was so late to post and this is my first ever RP post. How did I do?)

I play EVE Online, one of the largest online worlds ever made. It is a vast sci-fi experience where you fly around the galaxy in a space ship. The entire world is player run there are mega-corps that employ thousands of pilots and it is all run by other people playing the game. I run my own mining and industry corp, we also do a little trading. There are also pvp corps or like me you can do some pve for fun without the danger of losing your ship... most of the time.

I'm going to have to go with Ron Howard. He directed the best movie I have ever seen (Rush) and I love him for it. Besides him though I would have to pick George Lucas.

After a while the quests get more complex as you get better at the game the combat gets better you fight more people and depending on where you are the hatred of newbies changes.

I know it is really far away from now but I was wondering if anypony has celebrated or is planning on celebrating towel day? For those who don't know what towel day is, it is a day where you carry around a towel in honor of Douglas Adams, the writer of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, it takes place on his birthday, May 25th.

Is there anypony out there who plays eve online. I love the game and I highly recommend it but I have only ever seen one name with an MLP reference.

Dude, that is amazing! I love that style, I've never seen it before. As for my rating 8/10. Only because the shading on the hooves looks a little odd to me. Otherwise I love it.

I play minecraft but I got it with a proxy so no multiplayer or updates for me. I'm stuck at version 1.3.2 but I do play creative mode mainly and those are nice builds.
