  1. I have downloaded Nether and can't wait to play it!
  2. So are we all in agreement that this build will work?
  3. @, @@Frosty V, @, @, "The wolf has a pattern," The pony explained to Zephyr. "The wolf is trying to circle to our back before attacking, before it strikes and pushes us down and goes for a swipe. Then it repeats and repeats." Taking a glance at back at the wolf, Terra had smashed the wolf with her hammer and climbed onto it's back. It was quite comical, if their lives weren't at risk. "If we can predict it's pattern, then defeating the wolf would be easy, and it seems like your friend is already aware of that." The pony opened her inventory and lobbed Zephyr a simple sword. It had some light chips on the blade with some tears in the cloth at the hilt. But it didn't matter, as this would be significantly better than what he had been using! Plus he already had a level in short swords due to having to use a blade before he could purchase his lance in the first place. "Thanks," he said as he took a swipe or two to test it's weight. "I outta be able to do more than a thorn now!" He grasped the hilt and prepared to strike. He saw that, try as he might, Terra was losing his grip on the wolf. He called out to Terra, "Switch!" and lunged forward.
  4. I've been hearing that too, and from what I know, a lot of current game developers are sticking with Window 7 due to the easier set up and more people own 7 over 8. Tomorrow I shall be meeting with a friend to determine if he can help me assemble it. Otherwise I will need to head off to my uncles to assist me. I know enough to swap out and clean computers, but I don't want to be messing around with a $1000 complex machine and have something snap on me!
  5. Back to the original post, you may feel that it was rushed, however I think it looks rather good! The only thing that I could point out is, (In my opinion) the back legs seem a little... "off", when it comes to the positioning of her body.
  6. Well what specifically are you looking for? Are you asking for ideas as in pony designs, or are you talking more about an entire pony race all together?
  7. From what I've read around, not that many games support Linux, or require mods to get Linux.

  9. I have started to put a list up of things that if you wouldn't mind, for you to look over. Here's the majority of the items: https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.aspx?ID=18411134 - For the 1TB drive, would I be able to add that on as a slave drive to my current master drive? Or would I need something larger? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428 (RAM) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817394106 (Additional USB Hubs) - So that I can be able to plug in things like my drawing tablet, and Oculus Rift as well as my mouse and keyboard (Both are USB) So is all of this compatible? I haven't selected an OS yet, so what are you opinions on that? As for CD drive, I think I'm just going to rip out my current one, it seems to work fine for most everything. Can't think of anything else atm, so... Anything else am I forgetting?
  10. I don't think my sister understands on how I feel about this hoodie... Because she gave me one for Christmas!
  11. @ The other members of the party were sitting there slack jawed at what they had just witnessed. Zephyr didn't let this draw his attention as he stared back at the wolf, who had slowly proceeded to circle them. Zephyr was surprised on how fast this wolf could move after being as large as it is. The wolf, giving no indication that it was about to attack, suddenly lunged at Zephyr. He brought down his claws and managed to snag Zephyr in the wing. Before he could react however, the wolf again pushed forward and managed to lacerate Zephyr across the chest. Zephyr's health bar dropped rapidly. "At this rate, I'll be dead in no time! I don't think I can out run him either." The wolf was circling again, and Zephyr decided to attempt something very risky. Before the wolf could lunge, Zephyr dove head first at the wolf! This startled the wolf for just a moment, but that was all that he needed. Zephyr used a bit of maneuvering and was able to swing around to the right side, then by planting his hoof, he wrapped his wing around the wolf's belly and give it a jerk. This knocked the wolf off his stance for just a moment. In that split moment, Zephyr drove the wolf tooth through the wolf's neck. "Ha! That should have hurt!" Zephyr exclaimed. The wolf regaining his footing turned and snapped at Zephyr with his powerful jaws, however Zephyr pushed off the wolf body with his hoof and leapt to safety. Examining the wolf health bar however, was a socking realization for Zephyr. After those attacks, the wolf's first health bar had just reached yellow. "That last attack was a critical and this is all that it did?!" Zephyr glanced at the tooth which now had a crack in it. "This isn't a weapon, it's an ingredient," He knew this already "This may just give me one or two points more in damage than just doing bare hoof combat." He looked at his own bar again. "There's no way that I can do this alone!" "Switch!" Came the call from behind him. He glanced back at the pony he had just saved. She was standing in a ready position with an axe. Zephyr nodded and leapt back. She managed to aggro the wolf's attention away from Zephyr for a moment. He reached into his pack and pulled out a health potion. It wasn't instant heal, nor will it recover him all the way. It was just enough for him to get back into the fray. He pulled the cork and chugged. As he took a moment to catch his breath and wait for his health bar to replenish, he watched the pony and the wolf duke it out. He was surprised on how she managed to swing the axe with as fluid motion as she could, and yet there was great anger and power behind her strikes. It was almost like the rage that he felt during the opening ceremonies. Glancing back at his health, it seemed to start slowing down. He adjusted the tooth back in his mouth and stood by the pony's side as they faced down the wolf. "You got a plan?" He asked.
  12. @ Zephyr once again heard bushes rustling. "It isn't the wind... I'm sure of it!" He thought to himself. He scanned once again for the direction of where the noise was coming from... "THERE!" With lance in hoof he whipped around expecting another monster. But he was caught off guard from what he saw. An earth pony dashed out of the bushes. Her mane of a silver grey, her coat orange-white mixed. Her health bar in the red. She was being chased by a massive wolf. It's coat a dark blue, with a bright yellow feral eyes. Eyes with one purpose in mind. To kill. The wolf was gaining on the pony, and try as she might, she could get away. It leapt in air for a final strike. Zephyr could not stand idly by and watch this happen. without giving it a second thought, he grit his teeth, planted his hoof and dashed forward. He flapped his wings and quickly covered ground. With a mighty burst he leapt into the fray! The wolf's jaw gaping, Zephyr thrust his lance's shaft into the mouth! By pulling with all his weight, Zephyr launched the wolf to his left. The wolf managed to rip the lance out of Zephyr's grasp as he landed hard on his side. He stood up, and what appeared to be an act of defiance, clenched down his jaw and snap the lance in half, shattering it into polygons. Zephyr unfazed, turned to the pony and tossed her his red crystal. "I don't know who this pony is, but right now, it doesn't matter!" Zephyr had spent all that he had on that crystal and dubbed it as the 'Emergency Crystal'. And this, was an emergency. Regardless if he knew the pony or not. "Use it!" He commanded in a harsh voice. He opened his menu and selected a wolf tooth. It appeared in front of his face and he grasped it with his teeth. "I may not have any experience with daggers in this game, but it's better than nothing!" He thought. Without turning he asked the pony, "Can you fight?"
  13. I'm uber excited for my new work station!

  14. Well when I look at that photo, I think, "right temple, wrong game." I can see how very similar the temple looks, however for concept I'd have to go with the "Wind Waker: Temple of the Gods Entrance Floor" http://youtu.be/TmPuAg0_L7k?t=30s
  15. @ @ "Thanks... i wasn't a beta tester like you... if i was i probably would not have been so far behind. I'm a quick learner though. Don't worry." Terra stated. "Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not a beta tester!" Zephyr interrupted. He quickly scanned his inventory and pulled out a small hand book. "See this book? Well I picked it up at the store for free. It's a guide book that was put together by the beta testers during the trial version. After what happened..." Zephyr yawned "... I stayed up all night memorizing this thing. Gotta learn as much as I can! You should pick up a copy for yourself!" Terra then turned to Sparky and said, "Hey... your voice sounds familiar... weren't you that guy that told us there's no logout button? Sadly i am not a beta tester so i'm not high level yet but i intend not to stay behind! Say what's your name again? Mine is Terra Lionmane! Wonna kill some mobs together? I think we're reaching the Alpha Wolf soon enough." @@Frosty V But before he could answer, another pony joined in the group. As the pony approached, Zephyr took a quick look over and focused on him. The player name displayed as 'Frost', which he felt was apparently named as the unicorn before him had a white coat and a light blue mane, that seemed to stand on end like icicles. He wielded a mace, but Zephyr hadn't seen one in town that looked like that one. "It must be a unique one." He thought to himself. "Excuse me! You all wouldn't have happened to see a large black bear run through here have you? Preferably one covered in scars or blood?" He asked, letting out a slight chuckle. "The names Frost. Its good to meet you all." He smiled. Zephyr chucked, "Noo... Can't say I have, otherwise I'd be probs back in town with my tail between my legs!" He laughed. "This pony seems friendly..." Zephyr pondered. "...Might as well try to see if we can get some help." Without waiting for the others to respond, he asked Frost, "Well we were about to head out deeper into the woods by the side of that mountain," Zephyr pointed at a looming mountain in the distance. " We can expect that the monsters might be a bit tougher there, but there is a higher chance that what you're looking for is there..." @ Zephyr heard some rustling from a near by bush, but was unable to tell from what direction it was coming from. After a moment it vanished, and no matter how much he strained his ears, he couldn't hear anything. Figuring that it must have been the wind, he continued. "...We are looking for an 'Alpha Wolf', so maybe we can find both if we stick together! Better chance to succeed if you ask me! So what do ya say, team up?" ((OOC: Nioniosbbb, the currency in SAO is Col, however being that this is Equestria Online, should we go with bits? I posted earlier with Col, and Timelord can have the final say in this, but I say stick with Col.))
  16. @ "For sure! There's actually a skill for that called 'Analyze', I haven't invested much time into it myself, but for those players who do, they can view like equipment inside bags and skill levels of other players. Now lets see..." Zephyr selected Terra and clicked the 'Analyze' Icon. A progress bar appeared and after a short while a message popped up saying "Analyze Successful". And some of Terra's menu lit up: Terra Lionmane (Earth Pony) Level: 3 Weapon: ??? Armor: ??? - War Hammer Skill: Lv 2 - Heavy Armor Skill: Lv 2 -Crafting Skill: ??? - Mapping: ??? -Fishing: Lv 1 Zephyr took a moment to explain to Terra. "As you can see, because my level is low, I can only view some of your stats. Visually I can tell that you use a War Hammer, however what I can't tell is if it is a unique weapon or not. I can only see some of your skills, but in EQO, the amount of skills out there are limitless!" Zephyr closed down the menu and opened his guide book. "Here, do what I say." Zephyr commanded. He proceeded to show Terra how to open his menu, and reset the menu to the default settings. "...aaaand there you go!" Right as he was finishing his explanations another pony approached them. @ "Hello. So, how are you guys progressing? Finished many quests?" Zephyr recognized the pony from the other day. When he locked on to Sparky however, there were several things hidden. "Well that's just a feature of the game, the ability to hide things like your level. I wonder why he would hide it though..." Zephyr didn't dwell on it too much though and gave the pony a friendly wave. "Hey Sparky! Things are going fairly well, just about to finish the first one myself! Terra needs to catch up a bit, but he's not too far behind!" Terra stepped on Zephyr's hoof, and Zephyr gave a sly smirk back. "What have you been up to?" ((OOC: Nioniosbbbb and others, if you're wondering about some skills you could have, I know of a place to get references from. Currently a group is trying to make a fan made SAO called "The SAO Project" In their Facebook page, under photo albums they have a few skills that they have come up with. https://www.facebook.com/TheSaoProject/photos_albums This is a good source if you're looking for something to focus on! 17. @ Victory! EXP Received: 210 Col Received: 18 Items dropped: Wolf Fur (x4), Wolf Teeth (x2) "Whew!" Zephyr exhaled as he wiped his brow with his hoof. "I know that a pack of three was quite easy after you figure them out, but a pack of five can be a real hoof full!" Zephyr took a moment to check out his leveling. After swiping the menu open, he navigated to the 'Level' Icon. A few of his skills were near completed. Combat Level: Level 4 Single Hoofed Lance (Lv 2): 98% Strength (Lev 2): 24% Defense (Lev 2): 56% Light Armor (Lv. 1): 87% Battle Healing (Lv.1) 82% "So the next battle should bring my combat level to 5, and the guide book says that a safe margin level for boss battles are the floor number + 10. So I'll need at lease 6 more levels." Zephyr looked at the quest section again, Quest: Big Bad Wolf Pack Wolf Slain 8/12 Alpha Wolf Slain 0/1 The reward for this quest was quite high. Enough to get him an iron lance and some more armor at lease. This was not counting for the price he would fetch for the drops. Zephyr was going through his inventory, moving items that he would sell to the bottom. He was just finishing up when... *Bump* "Oh... i'm sor... hey you are Zephyr right? The guy i met before that Game Master guy explained all the situation. Glad to be here again! You in this quest with the wolfs too? Wonna group up?" Zephyr wasn't expecting to see anyone this far outside of town, but when he recognized the pony standing before him, he grinned. "Sure! I'd love some help!" Zephyr figured that if he was still fatigued after 5 wolves, he couldn't imagine what the quest boss battle was going to be like. "Normally in most games, I like to play solo, but this isn't most games isn't it?" Zephyr pointed out. "Besides I've read about a new system they have developed for this game where players 'switch' out and draw aggro, and I've been meaning to try it!" He gestured towards a group of 3 wolves not far from their location. "Wanna give it a try?" He asked.
  18. There are also those who join for a single reason, such as getting their pony in a drawing or something.
  19. I have always loved the role of an Arcane Warrior ever since I've played the Dragon Age series. The whole idea of a mage being hiding in the back casting spells because he is frail doesn't suite me. Yet at the same time the complexity of spell is quite fascinating. Insert Arcane Warrior. The strength of a warrior with the ability to fight, but able to cast spells as needed. Such as enchanting own sword right before a strike, or barrier as a rain of arrows comes down. (If you don't know the character below https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjStXhzIfPw )
  20. I've heard mention that there is a book somewhere that states that Cadence was a pegasus at birth and then became an alicorn.

    technology FaceRig

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbIWRd514-s Basically, there is a new face rig in development. The video explains most of it, but I'm going to tell you of why I'm supporting it. One of the sections that they point out is the ability to be able to create your own character / props. For a while now, I've wanted to start up a MLP Scratched Disk Youtube account where I have fun playing games as my OC. And I wanted to film my reactions to while. I've tried other face rigging programs like crazy talk, but with no success. This program however, looks very promising. I'm posting this for this reason, "What do you think of this program? Do you think that it has potential?" They wanted this program to be easy enough that many people would use it for skype and others, but do you think that it will work?
  22. "HYAH!" Zephyr thusted his lance at a wolf, only to scrape at the wolf's leg. The wolf ignored the attack and leapt in the air at zephyr. Ducking down low and shifted to his right, Zephyr nimbly dodged the wolf's attack. "HA! You can't touch this!" Zephyr shouted at the wolf. "You know, this is actually fun!" A low growling behind him snapped him out of his thoughts. Zephyr twisted around, but was too late. Another wolf was already on top of him and slashed at him with his claws. Zephyr was lucky to have turned around as his armor absorbed a bit of the attack, but still left him in the yellow. "Crap! I gotta stay focused! Ok, let's think about this!" Zephyr had played enough RPG games to know that every monsters has a system. "These wolves came in a pack of 3, they recognize that they can't attack me from the front..." A low growl from behind him started, but he didn't let that interrupt his thinking. "... They surround their prey." The wolf from behind leapt at him again, but this time he was ready for it, and side stepped it. As the wolf was passing by, he followed through with the butt of his lance and smacked it hard on the ribs. The wolf gave a loud yelp, and quickly returned to position. He was already in the yellow. "Ok, so they alone are fairly weak." Zephyr realized. two of them shifted towards each other in front of Zephyr as the third one circled around to his back. "They want me to focus the front! That way they can attack from the rear!" That was their system! As the wolf prepared to strike again, Zephyr was ready for it. Once again came the low growl, and the lept. Zephyr turned hard on his hooves and thrust the lance into the belly of the wolf. The wolf's hp bar depleted to 0, then it's body shattered into little polygons and vanished. "1 down, 2 to go, I can do this!" With the lost of a wolf, the remaining two proceeded to move in a circle pattern, but this didn't phase Zephyr. He purposely focused on the one in the yellow. He strained his ears for the crunching on the wolf's paws behind him. With the leap, Zephyr once again spun around and slashed at the wolf with his lance's tip like a sword. Cutting the wolf's head clean off. First the head, then the body shattered like the first one. One on one now. With his lances reach, he could very easily keep the distance between him and the wolf. He studied the wolf's movement pattern. "The single wolf, threatens by snapping his jaw, but attacks with his claws." The wolf, step to his left and strikes with his right. Zephyr easily deflected it with the shaft of his lance. The wolf jumped back and snapped at him in a taunting gesture. With that pattern set, Zephyr could easily determine when to strike. When the wolf step left, Zephyr readied his movement. As the claws swept across his right, Zephyr shifted to his right effortlessly dodging his strike, and before the wolf could move, he finished the battle with a smooth thrust into the wolf's chest. The final wolf shattered into polygons and a small victory screen appeared. Victory! EXP Received: 120 Col Received: 15 Items dropped: Wolf Fur (x3), Wolf Teeth (x1) Zephyr walked a short distance and slumped against a rock. He took a few deep breaths to slow his heart. He tilt back his head and closed his eyes, feeling the sun on his face. His mind wandered back to when he was in the military academy. "That's right... Fighting wolves here, is not that much different from fighting Timberwolves back at home... Only, that was a simulation." Zephyr never saw field time, but did receive basic training. It was do training for a class, get first year of college free, how could he not accept that offer? Little did he know that those few bruises made back then, was saving his hide now! Zephyr propped himself up with his lance, and looked back at the wolves in the distance. Even if they were 2 levels ahead of him, he knew now how to fight them! He looked at his menu and went to the quest page: Quest: Big Bad Wolf Pack Wolf Slain 3/12 Alpha Wolf Slain 0/1 The reward for this quest was a big one, so Zephyr wanted to finish it before the sun went down that day. He started walking in the direction of the next group of wolves...
  23. I'd have to go with "The Happening" Basic Plot: The plants around the world get tired of human pollution so they evolve. The plants can now release a chemical which causes humans to go suicidal. And you follow a group of people as they try to avoid this. The end? It just stops. That's it. just... nothing. and then after the credits it cuts over to Europe, (the movie was filmed in the US) where it shows pretty much the exact same thing as the beginning... Honestly, my time could have been better spent doing, oh I don't know... Picking my nose. Anything really. Just a stupid movie.
