  1. I have much nostalgia for the old Sonic Games; Sonic Adventure, Adventure 2, Heroes, etc... so they kind of win in reguards to how long I've played them and enjoyed them for XP

BUT, if I had to pick an all time fave, I'd have to go pretty obscure on y'all. Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil remains my current favorite game of all time. I love everything from the story, to the gameplay, to the art design, to.... yeah everything. *shot* It is really the only game I still go out of my way to play on my own, seeing as video games don't tend to hold my interest much anymore unless I am playing with a friend.

  2. I listened to this when it first came out, and for some reason assumed that the swing in the title was referring to the swing of a swing set. I don't know why. :adorkable:

    Late reply is terribly late, I apologize, as I am not very active on here. And I SINCERELY apologize if posting so long after the topic has died is frowned upon here ;w;

But just to point this out, you're not actually wrong Grepper ;P The "Swing" in the title actually refers both to the swing music which Luna is singing along to, as well as Luna and Tia's swingset described at the beginning and end of the song. (You could also draw the conclusion that "Luna's Swing" also refers to the music being played at the ball when she reveals her identity as NMM in the lyrics).

I wanted to use the "tattered swingset" as a metaphor for Tia and Luna's friendship, how carefree and wonderful it was when they were younger, and how it slowly fell apart as time went on, and they drew further and further apart. The style of music (Swing) was chosen at the same time because I felt that a song about a swingset would work wonderfully as a swing song ;P BECAUSE REASONS *ded*

  3. Wow FritzyBeat, this is really cool.  I'm going to have to listen to it a few more times.  I think you two did a great job.

The video part was a bit too bouncy for me but the song is awesome!  :D

Haha, yeah it was a BIT bouncy XD But Gray Fur did a wonderful job with that poster.

    Glad you enjoyed it =D

Wow...this is totally my jam! Love the vocals, love how you ran some of the instruments in one of those filters that make it sound like an old record player. Nothing really to criticize...

I credit Thunder with that genius idea ;3 I told him I wanted it to sound like some old-time swing music to fit with the story, and he really went the extra mile by adding the filters and stuff =)

    Thanks again <3

  4. For a demo, this is really well made.Good work, an't wait to see the full version, especially since it's Dashie

Yes! =D Dashie is always adorbs, and one of my favorite characters to write music about X3

  5. An absolute I intend to uphold. Priests, pastors, and holy men should simply NOT shout at their congregations. If their anger is legitimate, it's not the gathered's fault or crime unless they, to a man, have committed the same immoral act. Looking at the unrepentant sinner in the eye, that's is when God's word should be used in such a vindictive manner, and even then it should be controlled not raging.

Yeah, i can agree with that, focusing specifically at Pastors speaking to the congrigation, though i was mostly refering to any person speaking to anyone else in any given situation, not standing in front of the congregation specifically :3

And yes, I agree one definetly shouldn't be overcome with rage, but shouting angrily doesn't always equal rage. That being said, if one were to shout at someone, it would NEED to be out of kindness and a genuine care for the individual, one might still feel anger in said situation, but again, the focus is on helping the person, not just yelling at them cause "rawr I'm angry".

But yeah, I am all for convaying things in a calm kind tone. Personally, I don't yell a whole lot X3

    Also, hello Darkhearted Brony~ :3

  6. @@FritzyBeat,

Well I would contest it's not the actual volume that is up for question here, it's the manner. "Loud" in this case being synonymous with "harsh." And I would also contest that the words themselves are what count. Anything can sound important with the right level of gravitas and the most powerful words can loose their meaning if they are stuttered or mumbled.

God's Word is one of love, it should not be delivered in an angry shout.

Then again, Jesus got angry, God has been angry~ and both have shouted in anger at some point. I don't think anger is really the issue as much as it's intent, and whether it's convayed in the right way for that situation.

It's ok to be angry for the right reasons, the fact that we know Jesus and God have gotten angry themselves shows us that, it's just that they were always angry for the right reasons, and their anger wasn't out of malice towards someone, it was warrented for the situation.

That's why we have to be careful with comments such as "you shouldn't deliver God's word with an angry shout". It's a very absolute statment, and will always come with exceptions.

  7. The music sounds good, when do you plan to release?

At the moment, µThunder and I are trying to figure out the time-sig change in the third verse ,so as soon as we got that, then it'll likely come along a lot faster :P

  8. So, since I'm new-ish to this whole forum, and haven't met a lot of people here, I thought it might be cool to share a demo I've been working on with a friend for a good long while now XP Cause hey, sharing unreleased music is fun *shot*

I figured the player probably won't work on here, so meh, have a link *shot* Hope you guys like it so far =)

  9. I played goaltender in Ice Hockey for a number of years now at some pretty compedative levels. At one point I played on a top prospects team for major junior hockey team (so, a few levels below the NHL still, but not bad :P).

Unfortunatly when I moved to the country there was no longer a team to play for, so I kinda stopped. But I still play floor Hockey from time to time, and that's fun.

  10. a lot of people don't at all understand my feelings toward my music =P People will ask me "what inspired this song Fritzy?" and I'll get all deep and metaphorical talking about these feelings or ideals that I draw my inspiration from when writing lyrics and such, and the emotions that I try to convey through the song~

Then they are like "um..... ok"

and then I'm like "Oh right, uhhhhh.... I was inspired by Twilight Sparkle T_T"

"Oh! I get it now! Thanks!"

    *rolls off a cliff*

  11. My Dad is a pastor actually, and yeah he certainly isn't the type to stand up in front of a lot of people and yell at them *shot* Communicating God's word in a loving and caring, but also a clear and unapologetic manor is most important to him.

That being said, I don't see much of an issue with some preachers preaching loudly. Sometimes it just has to do with the voice they have and how they speak. Some people have naturally quiet voices, while others are quite naturally boisterous. That won't be the case for everyone, as yeah typically you don't want a preacher who's angry all the time *shot* but you see what I mean~

One kinda just has to distinguish for themselves. And in the end, what matters most is if the words being spoken are true words, the volume of the voice speaking them likely comes after that in order of importance =P

  14. Okay you make a good point on talking about my mixing on this song and i have a good explanation, when i mixed this song i did not possess studio headphones and i was working on Garageband instead of Logic, now that i possess both my music is coming out a lot better, plus since im an Audio Engineering major, ive expanded my knowledge of mixing even further in the past few weeks. Next song is a punk rock song, my vocals are gonna sound a little different since im using a specialsinging technique to reach some high notes in the song, but the music is well mixed so far and ill be recording the vocals this sunday. I tried one song in logic already but there were some mixing issues with it so it had to get tossed. Either way just keep an eye out on my soundcloud and channel. Also if you draw fan art please submit fanart for i may put it in one of the videos or on my twitter. You guys are a lot of help to me in this fandom relating to my music so thank you!

ooooo~ That's cool =) Can't wait to hear what you come up with then ^_^

ANd yeah, in case it wasn't obvious, the mixing in no way ruined the song for me ;3 you'd have to try a LOT harder than that to make me not like such a pretty song OUO *bricked*

*clicks replay for the tenth time*

  15. I just wanted to say, that after over a year of just having an account on this forum, and never doing anything with it, I am finally an active member here =D

And WOW, coming back to this thread, and seeing how many people responded to just me "hello" thread, it nearly brought a tear to my eye =')

Thank you so much you guys <3 I look forward to actually getting to know each and every one of you as we roll into the second half of Season 5 ^_^

    <3 <3 <3

  16. This is actually soooo cute :'D <3

You've got a great voice, the instrumental compliments it perfectly, and your lyrics are top notch ^_^ If I had to critique anything it'd be that the mixing doesn't sound QUITE right, particularly in merging the vocals with the track. What kind of compressor did you use, any particular EQ settings? c:

Either way, this song is absolutely adorbs, adding it to my library for sure X3

  17. Thank you all for the warm welcomes guys ^_^ I'm still looking around the forum and figuring stuff out, but I'll try and be at least a little active when I'm not busy X3

Were you behind the art on 4everfree's 'immortality'?

Haha, not that one~ I did the artwork for two of his other songs though "Future (What Are The Odds)", and his new song "Poni".

The Chant of Immortality artwork was drawn by DragonwolfRooke <3

Thanks again for all the warm welcomes guys! I really appreciate it ^_^
