Good to be seen, but been working my tail off. Teaching, planning conventions, working conventions, and my car just got it's second flat in a week so I get to take care of that today.

Well, one band that I often get a chance to see is Suburban Legends. My first show was see DJ Shadow live (oh my goodness gracious it was glorious seeing him mix and scratch in front of me). I've seen The Aquabats a number of times (if you ever get the chance, see them, they are a really fun band). Got to see Blondie and Devo on tour together, the latter was amazing, seeing those guys still rocking hard after all these years. Let's see, I've also seen The English Beat, GoGo13 (loc...

Oh man, that sucks. In that case, you'd hate me when I list out how many I've seen and (possibly, depending on your taste of music,) who I've seen live.

Yeah, Nikki was amazing when she drummed. Shame she's not doing it anymore.

Of course. A former drummer for a local band that I love, she was almost Ritsu incarnate. Except she would stand up to drum at times like Lars Ulrich.

Nothing wrong with that. One of my favorite characters is a tomboy (because she doesn't really know anything else other than a t-shirt and shorts) xD

Ritsu is just plain awesome. I think I've always had something for genki girls.

First off, it's been a while since I've seen the anime (though I'm sure my friend and I will be rewatching when we get our apartment).

Oh, I know it will be. And this ain't the first time I did something crazy for a band. I drove four hours, hiked up to the venue, and stood outside for two and a half hours to watch Sigur Ros live (I cried tears of happiness and sadness when I watched them. Happy at how beautiful it was and how Jonsi was serenading us, sad that it was one of the last shows they would be doing in America for a LONG time and that they showed one of their super sad music videos behind them as they played).

Sleep Train Amphitheatre in Chula Vista. I do have a lawn ticket, so it's not exactly going to be a comfortable five or so hours with standing, but it will be worth it.

Also, The Offspring are playing 'Smash' in it's entirety, which really makes me happy since I love "Bad Habit" and the title track so much. I do hope they don't forget to play "I Choose".
