I play pokemon X competitively, mostly smogon rules but I am trying to get into VGC as well. I'll be getting ORAS when it comes out and smash 4 a little later on. If you add me message me your FC so I can add back.

Is there a rule set or list of banned pokemon somewhere?

I'll challenge one of the leaders in a bit then. Just need to finish training some final pokemon.

Swagger/ Foul Play

It was fine when it was just Liepard doing it in Gen 5 but now that it's so easily accessible with Klefki its just a pain to deal with. It doesn't help that Klefki has really good typing either.

Fairy type for sure. I'm currently the fairy type gym leader at my colleges pokemon league.

My team would be mawile (muh girl), sylveon, clefable, klefki, togekiss, and azumarill.

If I had to choose another type I'd probably go for ghost.

Pokebank is out for the US

Figures. I just hope it doesn't get too monotonous.

 

I was kind of hoping that the other play styles, like gravity and baton pass, would get a little more support. I really want to try out a gravity team, just to see if I can make zap cannon and inferno work.

Baton pass is definitely getting more use. Ever since Scolipede got Speed Boost as its new hidden ability baton passing has become more common.

So, I'm a pretty long way from having an actually half-way decent team but I'm hoping the battling scene isn't super concentrated on using the mega pokes. I mean, there's only a handful of them and I'd hate for the entire game to revolve around them from now on. 

 

I'm also going to start using friend safari. I especially need a normal type safari (I can't get my hidden ability eevees. PokeBank where are you? ). Just tell me if you're adding me

Unfortunately, it is. It's pretty rare to see someone not running a mega now a days; Chomp, Luca, and Khan being the most prominent.

So yeah, from a software perspective, Pokémon bank was a disaster. It's "hack check" was more primitive than the third party site pokecheck, a major disappointment for me. I have a hacked 6-iv ditto I want to transfer for breeding. I worked on it really hard to make it appear perfectly legit from every angle, manually checking the .pkmn under a hex editor and everything. But no, evidently not needed...

 

On a side note, I managed to get a cyndaquil from a generous Japanese gentleman last night. So yes, all starters have been obtained! Now it's a matter of getting them to Y, along with the other 14-16 boxes I need to transfer.

I have a hacked 6 IV ditto too. Just for IV breeding though I don't use it to battle. Thats pretty impressive though, making a legit 6 IV ditto. I just got mine off pokecheck.

I don't know if anyones mentioned it yet but Dragon Booster was a pretty amazing show. I loved it to pieces and I was so excited when Dragon Booster Academy was announced. Too bad it got cancelled......

Static Shock was another great one. Virgil was a pretty amazing hero and in my opinion seemed the most down to earth when compared to other heroes. Throughout the show you saw how he struggled with his powers and how he suffered from the consequences that being a hero brought into his life. The series also addressed everyday issues such as bullying, gang violence, dealing with learning disabilities, and loss of a loved one. I hope it comes back on the air one day.

Well gee, maybe they should ban Scolipede then too, because that's basically all it does as well(or just get rid of it general, ew centipedes... but that's a more personal vendetta lol).

I guess I get that though, although I don't find fighting against strategies like that too disconcerting I guess not everyone wants to use Pokémon to specifically combat things like that, trying to promote more balance and whatnot.
