My old high school that I went to was apparently haunted by a young girl who was pushed off of the bell tower and killed when it was a boarding school. At the time that I was attending, I didn't know whether I truly believed, although the paranormal has always interested me. Anyway, it was one afternoon and oddly really quiet on the computer tech corridor and I was walking to lunch on my own. To get to the lunch area, you had to walk through big heavy wooden doors that had to be pushed and only stayed open if they caught on the magnetic thingy-ma-bobs to hold them open and then you go down a short series of stairs and turn left. Well I heard footsteps behind me and I thought someone was going to pass me but nobody did, so I pushed open one of the big wooden doors and let go to let it swing shut.. but it didn't close or swing back behind me like it normally did. It stayed wide open as if someone was stood holding it.
Since I heard footsteps behind me when I was walking down the corridor and I didn't hear it shut and I didn't hear it click on the magnetic holder thing, I turned around and looked at it from being stood at the top of the stairs. Nobody was even there to be holding it open like it was, nor was it anywhere near the magnetic thingy. As soon as I started to turn away to go down the steps wondering what had just happened and shaking my head at it, the doors slowly closed on there own. The whole time, I felt as if I was being watched. After that, I never went the say way to lunch, at least not alone. The bell tower is also in that area of the school just up another flight of stairs from where I was stood which makes it even more creepy. I still cannot to this day explain why the door did that. None of them had ever done it before and none of them did it after either. Weird..
