I think its epic, and just a tip maybe you could try making line art then scanning it to a paint program (ie. Photoshop/Gimp) then get some more solid colours. That's what I have seen a lot of artists do.

I'm glad everyone likes it   thank you all! Although, I thought the faces looked a little weird too

In my opinion, I feel that she is acting like she was before, although I may not have paid as much attention as you have. I have something to say for your examples however:

 

1. We all know she loves cider, so it's no surprise that she cares for cider more than AJ's apples.

2. Hasn't she always been competitive against AJ? Besides, as athletes, they want to be the very best, like no pony ever was, so it makes sense that they are competitive towards each other.

3. Well, when you've got members of the Wonderbolts, her all time favourite flyers complimenting you, your ego tends to grow. Haha.

 

Again, this is just my opinion and I haven't paid too much attention to RD, so if I said something wrong, please do say.
