    Hey Everyone! I'll be in the artist alley selling fanart(some MLP prints <3) and my original designs as charms, earrings, necklaces, etc at Tekkoshocon this weekend! I'd love to meet some of you guys! I've never been to Tekkoshocon let alone anywhere in PA! Any tips/advice/warnings about surroundings, or certain areas to avoid? I'll be flying down and most likely renting a car to drive and park in a garage during the convention. Do you guys know what garages are safer/securer then others? Who else will be going?

    Back from selling art at anime boston. This is the most tired I've felt after a convention but it was a lot of fun!

    Well 2 examples off hand. Horses are great for therapeutic healing and/or helping people with mental disabilities or social disorders, however not every horse is perfect for the job. Most programs require calm, well behaved horses(so a young filly wouldn't be the best candidate). My grandfather has an old friend that runs a program with his horses on his ranch for soldiers returning from the service with ptsd and other disorders. Working with the horse in different activities like grooming, feeding, saddling, and even riding(depending on the program) can help people cope, overcome, and build confidence. My mother also works with challenged individuals and on of the programs they do is working with the horses at a farm, In this program they don't ride them but they groom, clean the pens, etc. My mother is currently working towards bringing her group to her stable to work with her horses though Thanks! I'll inquire with my mother since she's the equestrian expert They loooovvve berries! We have wild blackberries that grow out along a trail. After picking a bunch I went to see if the horse Rio(we only had 1 at the time) wanted any and..I swear...he loved the berries more then a horse loves apples. he could not get enough. They're no longer in season so it'd be hard to show(it's very entertaining haha) I'll have to ask if he they eat other berries

    I believe I can help with this Do you know if they were wearing fly masks, or your grandmother sprays the horses with any repellents at all? This'll help me find the appropriate solution

    I believe they do! Horses are actually used in a lot of therapy programs! I'll try to find some way to capture this, although I wonder if the horses will know if I'm faking it XD I had never heard of this...so I watched the episode just now XD. This is really interesting, if the horses let me I'll try it. In the summer horses wear fly masks which cover their faces. Not 100% darkness(they can still see) so it's interesting if this is true. If the horse 'Rio' or 'Johnny' and my mother(since they're her horses lol) are ok with it I'll try it. It also depends if they have a safe clear place to lay down..that's not in their manure XD (not that they don't roll around on the ground anyways) This I can definitely do! We have a dog and a chicken...but no cats. The dog might be a little difficult since she's very active/hyper outside. The chicken and horse are good friends though. I often hold her up to Rio's nose and she just sniffs her face. It's very cute.

    If you could learn something about horses, what would it be? I'm going home for the week to visit my parents who have 2 horses, and I was curious if there was something you guys wanted to learn about them, to which I could try to make a video of some sort of you all Just a fun idea!

    haha, I would have drawn myself as a full on alicorn if I'd achieved my main dream of having a job in my field of study (media arts and animation). It's something I'm still working towards . Since I'm an adult and graduated college I wanted to draw myself as a sort of -almost- alicorn (a hybrid? XD) to visually connect age for myself One day at a time sky heart Think about the newest episode of MLP: fim that came out this past weekend with Twilight. If you continue to study and work hard, you're guaranteed to improve, it just depends on how much you want to work towards that goal So don't give up if it's something you want to achieve

      Sorry Cloe! ): I would buy a commission to help you out in a heartbeat, but my dad cut me off after he found out about how I threw a bunch of parties in the house when he was out of town.

    Silverwisp makes a good point about the tail, however I believe it's ok if the tail is high in mlp designs sometimes(example pinky pie, haha). I would be sure that it feels like there's some kind of connection between the tail and body if it is high. draw a few hair strands from the base of the tail to the tip to show curvature of the tail and emphasize the 'root' of the tail(good example would to be look at mlp ponie's tails from the show. how they have a few hair lines within the tail design. This also keep the design from looking to flat It's hard to find a good middle ground between realism and cartoon design sometimes

    She looks gorgeous! I love he outfit and eloquent look she has! As for improvements make sure the feet are on the right "planes(the same length). Right now the front leg is shorter then the back leg(legs closest to us). So you either need to make the front leg(closest to us) shorter or visa versa. From this view the other set of legs on her other side should be slightly shorter looking to emphasize distance(so you basically don't want all 4 legs the exact same length . Other then that I'd also just reference horse anatomy at times if you get stuck. Her hoofs look like they could be a little more slanted out in the front. I'm attaching a couple links to a real horse hoof and mlp characters.
