  1. My personal favorite is fluttershy. Rainbow Dash seems like the official show mascot for whatever reason. But I voted pinkie pie because she's the character I think most people look forward to seeing each episode to see what crazy things she's gonna say or do next.
  2. Guys...if you don't mind the name Rainbow Dash and didn't have a problem with the existence of sonic rainbooms...why in the heck are you suddenly up in arms about theRainbow kingdom being a thing? It's a kids show at heart. If anything these new rainbow power designs are Hasbros attempts at reaching out to the young boy demographic too with "cool" looking ponies. More powerful ponies means you'll probably see morefighting inseason 5 as the ponies have to protect the Rainbow Kingdom from threats they didn't have to deal with before because Celestia was there to handle everything that wasn't world breaking. Lol
  3. Something tells me that things are going to be different for you the next time around.
  4. I assure you it matters a lot. I'm not going to call you sick but you've obviously been through a lot and could use someone to talk to. It literally doesn't matter who you reach out to. I had conversations with the nurses who were caring for me in the ambulance after I got hit. I think if you reach out for some free counseling at a local college campus, you'll find some unique perspectives to consider as to why life is certainly worth fighting for. I won't go into it any further than that, as this is a wholly private matter and I definitely urge you to seek some help at your earliest convenience. Even if you feel you don't need it.
  5. Not to take this into soap box territory but from someone who has attempted to commit suicide (through pills and also through running into open traffic) there is absolutely nothing fun or relieving or good about trying to end your own life. It's a miracle I am here today and I can tell you first hand that it's not easy nor is it worth it. Absolutely some of the most painful experiences in my life. If you're serious I would certainly urge you to reach out for some help.
  6. Yes because studies have been done as to the validity and sincerity of Brony Culture, as if people would actually admit to being "fake" fans to begin with. lol. My list can get quite extensive so I'll just post 5 at a time every now and then to maintain shock factor. lol. This one will focus on modern entertainment. 1) Dr. Who is overrated. Weeping angels are not scary. 2) Game of Thrones is overrated. Everybody dies. The end. Moving on. 3) Anything Joss Whedon has ever done concerning a female lead is garbage. Yes,even Buffy. "Break the cutie" is the stupidest effing trope there is. 4) I blame book snobs who DEMAND 100% true translations from the books to their prospective movies for this rise of "Two Parter" series endings where you go into a theater and paid your ticket KNOWING you're not gonna get a complete show. And the worst part is, now that we've got 4 movies out of 3 books for film adaptions we've moved onto frothing at the mouth for "bad" casting choices. Like how in Catching Fire the one arrogant dude didn't have "perfectly bronzed skin and bronze hair". As if anyone even exists in Hollywood who looks like that. Or that Rue was "gasp" black! It never ceases to amaze me how often racism climbs up from it's dirty depths all over making sure that every comic and book character has to stay perfectly white or we riot. 5) Breaking Bad, Dexter, House M.D. and any other show with a douchebag protagonist who breaks laws but it's OK because "they have their own, superior moral code" or in Houses case "Because they are too smart and talented to follow the rules" are effing moronic. It just continues to feed into this whole rising culture of "We are our own God's" that's broken in because we've raised an entitled generation who believe they are infallible and untouchable. Commence the lynching!
  7. I'd wish for irresistible charisma so effective it borders on mind control. Basically, the ability to convince anyone of anything or to do anything I wanted them to. I'd win every argument or debate I'd ace every interview. I'd succeed in every haggle. Nopony could ever say no to my requests. It's just as good as having infinite money, but even takes care of people who can't be bought.
  8. If I am human, I'd die of dehydration before making it the 15 miles to civilization. Well maybe not. An average person can walk 3 miles per hour. I don't know how hot Appleloosa can get, but if it's as hot as Death Valley there have been records of people dying within 5 hours unprepared. So assuming I am fully hydrated, I can make it through the desert within 5 hours. So if the conditions are LESS severe than Death Valley, I could survive, but only barely. From there I would definitely have to try and convince somepony that I could be of use to earn a few bits necessary in order to buy a ticket to Ponyville. I would choose Ponyville because that is the place whose characters I'm most familiar with. So I can appeal to their sensibilities, especially Applejacks or Fluttershys, to put me to work so that I can at least earn my keep. I wouldn't be able to do Big McIntosh levels of work, but I think I can definitely help out with infrastructure and other community related set ups. From there, I would probably cry myself to sleep most nights as I'd miss my wife and son. Ponies would wonder what is wrong with me and I'd be honest with them. As I simultaneously break every heart in Ponyville, Twilight Sparkle works her magic to bring my family to me and we live happily ever after. lol.
  9. I think many people are missing the forest for the trees here. The OP does not ask "Would you want a breastfeeding scene in MLP?" it's asking "Would you be OK with it happening?" As in, say it's already a foregone conclusion, there's a snippet of breastfeeding shown, more like a background cameo appearance of a baby pony feeding on an unnamed mother character. The scene doesn't last for more than a second before the Mane Six keep walking through the scene and no mention of the act is focused on. Would it really be that much of a problem? I don't think so. Just because something is featured doesn't mean that it has to be central to the plot of the episode. In fact, it would probably be more damaging to the goal of making breastfeeding more normal if MLP made a big deal out of it's presentation. Because then you're just dividing your audience between pro-breastfeeding families and pro-formula fed families. And that doesn't need to happen.
  10. Just to point out, as a breastfeeding advocate myself, that's all we're trying to accomplish, an acceptance of normalcy when it comes to breastfeeding. I don't really see it being pushed as some amazing, special, magical thing. Although it is a great bonding experience for the mother and child and is the best thing for the baby. But that's why we're fighting so hard for normalcy. If the babies hungry while we're in a public setting, it's a lose-lose a lot of the time because if we feed them, people complain. If we don't feed them, they'll cry and then you get the people complaining about why bring your kid to a restaurant with you if you can't keep them under control. When it comes to being portrayed on MLP, I don't see why it would. I mean, they're ponies, and the only couple with a child has already been shown as bottle feeding, so the window for opportunity isn't even there, and if it was, they are horses. Trying to send a positive breastfeeding message through ponies is hardly accurate or in line with the kinds of conflict the characters run into on a daily basis. I voted yes anyway because if it did happen beyond all logic I wouldn't be offended by it, just confused.
  11. Favorite Marvel Hero: Captain America or Dr. Strange Favorite Marvel Villain: Juggernaut or Shuma Gorath Favorite DC Hero: The Flash or John Stewart Green Lantern Favorite DC Villain: The Scarecrow or Clayface
  12. For me, I was really only willing to give MLP a chance after I heard the creators also had a hand in Dexter's Laboratory & The Power Puff Girls from my childhood. The fact that the show ended up being awesome I think is a quality of the original creators, and not necessarily my attachment to a franchise normally made for girls. So I really can't say for sure. I wouldn't be actively searching for a Barbie themed show to attach to in the same way I've done with My Little Pony.
  13. Being that you're aiming the show to be attracting teenage audiences, you'll want your protagonists to be teenagers to make them actually relatable to your target audience. The Mane Six I've always imagined as being teenaged as well. A feature film could maybe work if your Season Finale leaves off on a cliffhanger or something that the Film is meant to resolve. Such as a big bad so important to deal with, that you can't cover it within one episode, or even a two parter. You need 2 hours at least to resolve it.
  14. My favorite casual Magic The Gathering deck I ever built was basically full of Leviathans, Krakens, Octopus and Sea Serpents and Quest for the Ula's Temple and thus, I named it Kraken B. Trippin.
  15. Unfortunately the sort of people who go to conventions in general are already pretty accepting of Brony culture, even if they aren't that into it. Those who are freaked out by Bronies probably would feel even less comfortable in a cosplay environment full of Man-Feys and Reverse Trap video game expies. lol.
