  1. Well, you are never too late to request! Unless it says the shop is closed. Also, I have an extremely hard time with gryphons. I never was good at drawing them, but I can always try. I need a ref on it, then I'll see what I can do.

    heh, well, if you're willing to take a shot at it, I'd be all kinds of happy! :D

    Sorry if the image quality is rather crappy. I kinda drew this thing nearly 2years ago.

    P.S.: and sorry bout the late post. Didn't get home til a few moments ago. ^^;

  2. Probably thanks to my childhood of drawing every disney cartoon I could.

    Or at least attempting to, instead of trying to draw realistic things like I should have pfft

    Heh, its all about what you have fun doing. I prefer doing cartoony things since its not something in life, but whatever you like drawing, then have fun with it! :lol:

  3. I screw up a lot during inking :P But I use archival ink micron pens, so it's much more set-in-ink than just a pen! XD Love those hooves!

    part of my tuition actually got me the pen, he he. Got some supplies last semester at the beginning of my art class, and its a really nice pen. Japanese too. :D

    Oh boy...this one hurt. Wasn't expecting this one to take so long, the form and clothes were easy, the face was quick, but those hands...I don't know why, but I just could not for the life of me get them the way I wanted.

    Well, either way, still hope ya like it, Jelly! :lol:

  5. @@sakeshi, It's awesome! Really! Damn i thought i left a comment before here. The only problem, or perhaps minor detail are the ankles. In general it's awesome! I like it! The spear! The helmet! The Scars on the armor! The ornate shield! Daaaaaamn...

    Heh, yeah, still trying to get those hooves right. ^^;

    Glad you like the hoplite look though, bro. :lol:

  6. All art is observation and practice. If you do a lot of observational sketching, or simply take the time to just look at the interaction of light on objects you will, slowly, come to understand how it works. Once you have built up a broad understanding of how this works you can then apply that to your creations. If you have a clear understanding of the forms of the item you are drawing, even if it is directly from your mind, and you know where the light is coming from then it all becomes self evident where the shadows and shading should go.

    But if you are after a magic wand solution, I'm afraid there isn't one. It's a long process of observing and practicing form and light.

    Ah, much thanks friend. I will certainly keep that in mind!

  7. Terra Lionmane and Fenix!

    Oh boy, gotta say, this one was a bit rough. Not because of the content but the reeeally small subject details. All for the sake of art!

    *ahem* Anyway, this one was definitely a fun ride, hope ya like it bro! :lol:

    Oh my! Ya have a nice way to draw their legs x3

    I would like to do a drawing like you do   :muffins:

    Hehe, thanks alot bro! I seem to be getting that a bit, wonder why. The hooves, that is. :huh:
