  1. I may be a suburban guy, but I do actually enjoy allot of different things that probably would classify me as a redneck.

Like fishing, skee-boating, fireworks, outdoor BBQs, and off-road four wheeler driving.

So I'm just wondering if any other Bronies are like this.

  2. I'm posting this thread as of 1:00 AM in South Carolina.

It is now the fourth of July.

This thread's purpose is to warn fellow Americans that there could be a large terrorist attack happening today.

I'm just hoping to God that no one gets hurt.

Some rumors even say that there could be a nuclear threat.

My hopes and prayers go out to every single person in this country.

Please share your thoughts and concerns about this issue. :)

  3. I think some same sex couples would like to be married before hell freezes over.  Without having to either move out-of-state or out-of-country.  The right to marry is something that ought never have been denied same sex couples in the first place.  It's not primarily a religious issue or a sanctity of marriage issue (which is straight up BS anyhow) or solely a legal issue; it is - first and foremost - an issue of human rights.  Someone was always going to be butthurt; despite how little same sex marriage actually has to do with them.  No matter how much opinions may change over time, someone will always be on the wrong side of this issue.  Yes, I said "wrong."  Denying same sex couples the right to marry is comparable to having at one time denied interracial couples the right to marry.  Not everyone was ready for that when it became legal.  And you know what?  Some people still aren't ready for it.

American society is slow to change; sometimes they need a kick straight in the ass.  Hence the butthurt, I guess. xP

So I think people (particularly those who claim they support same sex marriage) had ought to just move on with their lives now.  The right thing happened, even if you didn't like how it happened.  I'd have liked it if it had happened yearrrrrs ago and without all the damned teeth-pulling and contention from opponents who absolutely bent over backwards to stand in the way of change and the rights of others.

Confession: Sick of discussing this now.  Same sex couples can marry = good.  You don't have a time machine.  You didn't sit the supreme court.  America has lagged behind several other parts of the world on this issue, and it was likely going to continue dragging its feet.  In the future, the people who are complaining about the issue now will still be complaining about the issue.

I understand that there'll always be those who are against gay marriage.

But I can assure you that my intentions are only to help the LGBT community.

You see, if every state agreed to legalize gay marriage and THEN they made it a national law, there'd be big difference on a social scale compared to now.

It may not sound like that big of deal if one state votes against gay marriage legalization.

But look at it this way.

Every state has a vast amount people in it.

And I'm talking ALLOT of people.

And that's a whole lot of people who need time and social pressure to change their minds.

    Who knows?

Maybe my die-hard Conservative parents would even cave in.

Trust me, if we had waited for each state to cave in, we'd have allot less of a social shitstorm than we're about to see coming ahead.

Yes, we'd have to wait a bit longer, but in the end I think it would have been more worth it.

Even quite a few people who actually are gay agree with me.

And sorry if you're frustrated with me, I just wanted to clear my intensions up a bit. :)

  4. I only have an Acer laptop. (please don't laugh)

Now you might assume I use abDocs to do my work.

    Ehh nope.

I was recommended Open Office by a friend of mine.

    It's great!

    It's just like Microsoft Office!

The only downside is that it's not as stylish.

And... it very rarely crashes sometimes.

    Yeah, that's my reaction too.

It still makes a great substitute though!

  5. I'll take the brohoof as a yes. The United States is still the most religious nation on Earth, with the exception of the Vatican I suppose. The very nature of our laws say they come from something above humans and government. Whether one calls it God, nature, or what have you, the idea is the same. The law may be enforced by people but it comes from something greater. Not to mention laws outright censoring religion would be preposterous to propose, it's the very First Amendment.

Might I ask what brought on this fear?

    What I mentioned here.

    Yes unfortunately.

I am afraid that there'll be an Anti-Christian activist movement as a result of the gay marriage ruling.

And Christians like me, will get mowed over, regardless if we supported the gay marriage legalization or not.

I say it's quite unfair that I have to be judged by my Christian label in general.

People ALWAYS seem to assume that I pair my moral and legal beliefs together.

  6. Don't be. Wait, I assume you are living in the U.S. first of all right?

    Yes unfortunately.

  8. I have an Acer laptop and I use Mozilla Firefox.

    post-25645-0-51611100-1435773729_thumb.jpg

I have private browsing turned on.

I have an add blocker addon.

I also have a year long subscription to McAffe for my Internet Virus protection.

People always say that "you'll get a virus if you use Mozilla".

I say it all depends on how you use it.

Funny enough, the only time I actually did get a virus was on the Google Chrome browser.

  9. Nope.

I tried get a refund for Skyrim: The Elder Scrolls because it couldn't run on my computer.

    Couldn't find a way though.

Didn't even know they had a refund policy in the first place.

    Ori and the Blind Forest

Geez, I was actually planning on getting that game.

    Does it really demand allot?

  10. As a person who has been taking Canadian in Rosetta Stone for 15 years now, I have learned how to communicate with many Canadian members on this site.

So in honor of Canada Day, I'll teach you all how to speak Canadian.

Now allot of people think Canadians speak English.

    This is not so.

    Their language is completely different.

First off, you must stuff your mouth full of bacon.

And yes, the bacon MUST be Canadian.

Second, the Canadian language may seem similar to most, but what people don't know is that you must say "eh" at the end of every sentence.

    Thirdly... that's it pretty much.

    I sure hope I didn't miss anything.

Please feel free to correct me if I did!

    Happy Cananda Day everyone! :)

  11. -If I wasn' t a Christian, I most likely would be a bisexual.

-My mom didn't let me watch Pokemon when I was younger.

-I guzzle more coffee than anyone in my entire family.

-I see nothing wrong with incest or polygamy because the Bible actually says both those things are ok.

-As a Libertarian, I disagree with the method of how gay marriage was legalized nationwide.

We were on the right path before the law was passed.

Fact is, if you go based on the votes of only 5 people out of hundreds of millions of Americans, there's going to be allot of people who are going to disagree with that.

This can and probably is going to lead to allot of social tension which is always not a good thing.

I have a feeling that shit will eventually hit the fan and we won't be prepared for what happens.

Now how do I think this issue should have been handled?

Let each state vote for the legalization democratically by it's own people.

As time goes on, the people in each state give into social pressure and vote to have gay marriage legalized.

So when the last state changes their mind, make it a national law.

And in the end, there wouldn't be a whole lot of tension goin' on and gays would be more excepted into society.

I just wish this was the plan to begin with.

But I guarantee you we're gonna see shit hit the fan and it's not going to be pretty.

Change shouldn't be forced on society.

    Let society change by itself.

  12. Ok.

    Here's how to play:

    1. Look at the user above you.

He/She will have posted a reference to a certain form of media (youtube, music, movies, ect.).

    2. Then you have to guess what that person is referring to.

    3. Then you yourself have to post a reference.

It can be a line from a movie, a screenshot from a video game, anything that doesn't give away the official answer.

IMPORTANT HINT: You also might want to ask a question so the user below doesn't get confused.

Let me start of the game by making my post:
