    Well, the reason I ask is that Ampere is rumored to succeed Pascal in the gaming market. It does make sense if you consider that Volta's architecture seems heavily skewed towards machine intelligence & AI compute.

    Unless AMD responds with something more interesting than Vega, not much they need to do... Oh, and of course stealing what thunder they had left by dropping the 1070 Ti in response to the 56.

    Nice to see that GPU pricing is leveling off and actually in stock. Last time I checked, miners were still having a field day on everything between a 1050 and a Titan/Ti. Think I'll hold off until the 2080 or whatever they decide to call it. This space heater 980Ti should keep me warm through the winter months.

    16299... so that makes it the Fall Creator's Update. Sure. Still working. This computer hasn't seen a fresh install since 7 and it's been through 8, 8.1 and however many iterations of 10. Still works, though. Laziness is real.

    Better yet, once they're over 10 years old, you can start calling them "vintage" and then charge $399 for a VINTAGE gaming PC (i.e. dime a dozen Dell Dimensions that litter school closets)

    Based on what I've seen so far, I still don't think they give a crap. They still own nearly 80% of the market and unless Epyc starts picking up major design wins in HPC, I'm not sure how much of a dent Zen is making. I'm hoping they do, and I'm wrong and we'll start to see some real innovation and actual MOVEMENT in IPC. It seems like the differences in Z370 are some extra pins to support the higher power demands of Coffee Lake (hot coffee? hahaha ha... fuck it, not sorry)

    Toothpaste for Skylake-X, yes. i9-7960X nets you <20% better performance for 80% more money over Threadripper 1950. VRAID 0 on M.2 supported, extra RAID modes, cough up $100 more for a dongle. Because we're not done price gouging quite yet.

    Project Octopath Traveler demo Really looking forward to this one. The art style/ambiance reminds me of Seiken Densetsu 3, loved that game too.

    Aliens: Colonial Marines. I paid $8 for it and all the DLC and it was $13 too much.

    I'm all for physical copies if they have neat collectibles that come with it but by and large most of the games I buy with Steam releases and the like are literally keys in boxes for the respective service so that's just extra junk for me to throw out anyway. So yeah, getting there.

    One of the first video games I've ever played. Countless hours spent exploring an 8-bit Hyrule to this. The whole piece is only about 40 seconds but I feel like at this point of technological development, your tunes either gotta be catchy right away or be doomed to the mute button. Normally, I'd take the SNES sound chip over the Genesis but this is one of those times where it just sounds that much better with that hard hitting percussion. Langrisser II, shame only the first and most recently a 2016 3DS title was ever officially released outside of Japan.
