  1. I too love "The Amazing World of Gumball" for its humor, laughed a lot watching this show, especially because of Nicole :D . But is it better than MLP ? I wouldn't be so sure about that, although some of the last episodes have been incredible, but perhaps it lacks those great villains which made most of MLP's season's debut and finale memorable. I've yet to see a villain as charismatic as Discord or a fight in a cartoon as amazing as Twilight vs Tirek (even though Nicole vs Yuki was very entertaining in TAWOG).

Also, I don't think it's fair saying this cartoon is better than MLP considering how different they are in many aspects, but "Rick and Morty" is definitely the best cartoon I've watched. It's funny, intelligent, unexpected, it's literally got it all. Then again, it's not aimed at the same audience at all, but there isn't a single episode I found bad or even average.

Not from the US but I wish anyone outside the country could vote because  Trump... This guy really scares every one we don't know what he's going to do with all that power !
Man this freak could have the ability to use the nuke !

I don't see why we as foreign citizens should be able to inferfere in the US elections. If USA choose Trump, it's their choice and we shouldn't have the ability to alter it. Nobody should make decisions for others.  Also, keep in mind a president doesn't have unlimited power, he cannot use nuclear force just because he wants to, get real for a second. I'd actually be more worried about Hillary when it comes to using nuclear weapons.

I won't vote obviously since I'm not american, and I don't really have much preference between Trump and Hillary, they're both truly despicable candidates. I feel sorry for you, american friends :( . I'm glad it will finally be over very soon though, I've had enough already of hearing rumors regarding each of them literally every day.

  3. I like Steven Universe, but...

Rick & Morty without a doubt. That show can be hilarious as hell while still raising philosophical questions. The characters are amazing, every episode is interesting and I've literally never been disappointed by Rick & Morty. MLP disappointed me several times though, so here you have an idea of the quality this show offers. So yeah, I might sound a bit like a fanboy, but I honestly believe Rick & Morty is the best animated series that's come out in the last 10 years. It's funny, it's intelligent, it's well animated, it's got great characters, I love it and I can't wait for season 3 to come out

  4. I don't really have a favourite hat, but I sure do have a favourite loadout !

Behold ! My magnificent scout :

My medic looks pretty awesome as well :

But if I really were to pick one and only one hat, perhaps it'd be the Cosa Nostra Cap, hats for the Spy are simply the best in terms of aesthetics. Yes, I always dress in style.

  5. Far from enough, even back in high school I  would sleep like 4 to 5 hours most nights and minimum 9 hours during the week-end. Now that I got into uni, I'm extremely tired everyday and I often release all my stress on others. It's also partly my fault for staying up so late until like 2 am, so I'm planning to change that so I can have a decent sleeping schedule and validate my first year without too much trouble, and also stop being a dick to most people.

  6. I love to drink, never been drunk though, probably takes a little more than 4 beers and 3 shots of RedBull-Vodka to get me drunk I guess ^^'

Most of the time I would drink a little glass of Martini Rosso or Muscat de Risevaltes (it's a "fortified" wine according to wikipedia, didn't know how to translate it), some red wine to finish dinner. A mojito is also great for an aperitif.

I'm french and I don't like cheese, so I've got to at least drink some wine ! What would french stereotypes become then ? :P

  7. I've never watched Captain Planet, but one of my favourite youtubers in his videos talked about it for a bit. So, in one episode, a guy called Boris has to move to another town, and he doesn't have any friends here, which is why he naturally begins to take drugs. (lel)
He becomes a bit crazy, doesn't think about the consequences of his actions once (he burns down an entire kitchen I think), he even drugs her cousin or something like that by putting drugs in her sandwich.

BUT HAVE NO WORRIES, at the end he finally realizes drugs are bad and all's well that ends well !

    I lied.

  8. I absolutely love Gurren Lagann, watched all the episodes in like 2 or 3 days. It's stupid, but it's epic ! :D

Also, I decided to finally watch Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood so I wouldn't be too bored during the holidays. Probably the best anime I've ever watched. Then again, I haven't watched a lot of anime, but I want to read the mangas pretty badly now. ^^

I used to watch One Piece, but kinda stopped after the Fish-Island arc, so I've been following the Strawhats in a very passive way. I watched Naruto on the TV when I was like 10 or 11 (not Shippuden), Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji), One Punch Man (this one was awesome as well), and right now I'm watching the very first Fullmetal Alchemist anime, and it's pretty great as well.

All those animes are pretty good I think. I tried to watch Dragon Ball Super but stopped after like 20 episodes. I find it simply unnacceptable that DB Super can't have some great animation. We're talking about Dragon Ball, a manga and an anime that revolutionized the shonen-genre, and probably still the most-popular manga of all-time. One Piece might be the best-selling manga ever, but Dragon Ball is still in my opinion the most popular. Unlike Dragon Ball, One Piece didn't leave its mark on an entire generation.

So yeah, I was watching One Punch Man at the same time, so obviously there was a clear contrast between OPM's amazing animation (thank you Madhouse), and DB Super's somewhat decent animation and boring episodes (damn you Toei ! :( )

  9. Not really a podcast, but if I cared enough I'd convert his videos to MP3 and it would be the exact same as listening to a podcast. Anyway, I'm talking about "Thorin's Thoughts". Thorin is known as the esports historian and has got tons of knowledge when it comes to esports, especially CS:GO and LoL. His analysis skills are great, and the guy itself is very charismatic. :P

  10. Whether I speak French or English, I always make sure I didn't make any spelling mistakes because I'm crazy.

So usually, my spelling is almost perfect. B)

Except in German, oh dear. I'm glad I don't have to study it anymore.

  11. I can agree the show isn't what the original was and is full of memes and teen related issues, but to be honest I don't mind it, it's somewhat better than most shows I've seen on TV nowadays.

I don't know what's on TV in the US, but I don't watch french TV anymore. When I see what children are watching on french cartoon channels, saying the new Powerpuff Girls is better than most shows is like saying having cancer is better than having aids imo.

    ...

I went too far with this comparison

It's not utterly bad, but the original is so much better. This reboot was made for nothing but commercial purposes, may as well try to make interesting episodes.

  12. When I heard about the reboot, I decided to watch some old episodes 'cause I thought it could be interesting to watch but I first wanted to be familiar with the original show. During my childhood I didn't see many episodes of the Powerpuff Girls.

I really enjoyed the original show, most episodes were funny and the characters were so interesting and cute and... I discovered I basically loved the Powerpuff Girls. :)

So at this point I've watched I think like 18 episodes, and last time I watched it was perhaps 1 month ago or something like that. But I never enjoyed it like the old Powerpuff Girls. It's missing what I loved most ; Mojo Jojo, Miss Bellum, and most importantly... the girls saving the city.

I loved all the villains in the original show, and most of them are gone. But the girls don't even save Townsville anymore. It's their very first purpose : being the heros of the city. Now it's just three little girls who happen to fly and go through incredibly cliched scenarios.

I don't hate the reboot, but it could be so much better. There are some things I like. The new voice actors for the powerpuff girls are ok in my book, even if I prefer the original ones, some voice actors are still present like the Professor's (even if you can notice pretty clearly he's been out of business for a while), Mojo Jojo's, the Mayor's... The new art-style isn't too bad even if sometimes the animation could be better. But right now, the reboot's biggest problem is simply the episode's plots which are sometimes simply cringe-worthy.

tl;dr: The reboot is filled with cringy memes, cliched plots which never let us see the girls do what they do best : fight crime. They are completely unable to create episodes with a relatively entertaining scenario in which battling monsters or villains is involved, instead we're stuck with stupid storylines, like Bubbles breaking her arm (l o l) and not willing to give up her cast, a unicorn who doesn't know he's a unicorn (l o l²)... It's just plain absurd, boring and the supposedly funny scenes make me chuckle at best. The positive points I highlighted earlier are far from sufficient for me to recommend the reboot to anyone. If you want to watch an interesting Cartoon Network show, just watch Steven Universe if you haven't already. Here's hoping the show gets better with time.

  13. Well, we had Pokemon GO release in Taiwan two days ago and there are so many Pokestops here...at least in Taipei. You can literally walk 50 meters and there will be another Pokestop. There is two of them right outside my old Taiwan home.

From what I read online, the inequality regarding the number of Pokéstops in big cities compared to smaller cities can be explained by Niantic's other title. It's a game called Ingress, and its goal was to take control of portals to support your team. Those portals were like Pokéstops : statues, big buildings, important places... but they weren't chosen by Niantic. Ingress' players rather took the pictures to then create the map with all the portals around the world. Needless to say most people who played Ingress were usually wealthier than the average.

And naturally, Pokéstop's location in Pokémon Go is based on those portals' location in Ingress, which is why I, poor little thing, have to walk 5 km to find like 3 or 4 Pokéstops total...  :(

I really summed it up here because there are factors other than higher living standards, such as historical heritage, but yeah. I wish I could link the entire article, but it's in french and I couldn't find an english equivalent unfortunately. :/

Here it is if you want to take a look and try to understand it : http://www.lemonde.fr/pixels/article/2016/08/03/pokemon-go-les-multiples-facteurs-des-inegalites-geographiques_4977738_4408996.html
